The property was lovely and in a great location just a short walk from the train station and main attractions on a peaceful side street. The main attraction is the onsens and they had four separate baths, one male bath, one female bath, and two private family baths that could be used by a group without additional charge. The hotel only has a small number of rooms which was a pleasant surprise, even in the non-private baths we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The family baths are perfect if anyone in your group has tattoos as that typically prevents you from using the same public onsens. We booked the family room for our group of 5 and it was spacious with an additional private outdoor bath.

The property doesn’t serve meals, which wasn’t a problem for us but is something to note.

Private bath in the room The Japanese breakfast were delicious and very well presented. My wife is a vegan and the ryokan tried its very best to accommodate my wife’s dietary requirements, which was much appreciated. The surrounding ambiance of the ryokan was very relaxing, where you get to experience the authentic Japanese hospitality. The location of the ryokan was strategic and close to the Yufuin Floral Village and the shopping district in Yufuin.

Nothing really

One of the most beautiful little stays I've ever had. The pictures do not do justice to how large the family room is (it's a small house) and I almost felt guilty taking so much space as just 2 people. The outdoor bath is stunning and so relaxing. Beds were comfortable, staff were lovely. The hotel is a little out of the way but truly adds to the experience and is really only a 15 min walk to the station or a 660 yen taxi ride.

Room size quite large & quiet, good choice of onsens (1 male + 1 female + 2 private families) considering this ryokan only has 8 rooms.

It is a little difficult to find, not even showing on Google map. Our rooms were quite cold even with the heater switched on.
