The staff was polite and helpful especially with Ella, a Filipino at the front office. She speaks English which made check in easy. The huge public indoor onsen pool and the open-air pool adjoining it. Splendid view of Mt Yufu from the room, onsen pool and lobby.

After covid, the hotel has zero meal options. You can bring your own takeaway or buy frozen meals from vending machines or purchase cup noodles from the front desk. A microwave oven is provided at the lift landing of every floor.

This is probably one of the most value for money ryokan I had ever stayed. I didn't order the dinner but there was a dinner Bento that came with it. I told them in advance that I didn't eat beef and they prepared a alternative for me. It was sumptuous! The room was large and I liked there's a coffee table with view of Mt. Yufu. Really enjoyed the onsen too!

The morning light will come through even though I had the curtains on. Would have been nice if the check out was at 11 instead of 10am.

Even though the Hotel feels kinda dated when you first step into it, the hotel room is very big in size and feels really spacious. When checking in, the staff was really friendly as well and they proceeded to guide me through the check in process. I also have to pay for the onsen fee (it's considered an onsen town after all) which I didn't mind. The view from the hotel room is awesome as well. When checking out, I was given a candy and a farewell postcard as well with the photo of the hotel! Overall a very pleasant stay at the hotel.

If you're a solo traveller, this probably won't be an issue, but otherwise, the hotel is situated quite far from the station (probably a 5-10 minutes walk away) so when arriving, you have to push your luggage pretty and I often felt how long more would it be. The hair dryer also felt a bit weak but usable.

Room was spacious and have a separate corner from the main sleeping area. Fittings were aged but well maintain. We particularly love the onsen and cleanliness of the entire hotel. Location was not too far off the main attractions/ main shopping street in yufu.

Theres very little not to like about this hotel, if i had to nit pick, it would be that the fittings in the room feels like it was there since the early 90s. having said that, the fittings were pretty well maintain and i think that speaks volumes of the length the hotel staff went to kept them in tip top condition.

Quiet location. It’s not more than 10 min to walk from the train station to hotel and it’s lot more quiet. The room is very spacious. If you are driving, there are ample parking lots (at no charge). The hotel does not really have a restaurant, so it’s best to eat out or buy some food from the nearby convenient stores. There are a lot of eatery places but not all are opened at night. Hotel is also just a 10 min walk to the beautiful Kinrinko Lake. The hotel even gave me a few nice postcards and sweets when I checked out. Most rooms would have the mountain view, so highly recommended.

The room was cozy and very spacious. Indoor & outdoor onsen. Water dispenser near to the elevator. Walking distance from train station. There was a ramen restaurant next to the lobby.

The reception did not operate 24 hours. The door was locked after 12am till morning, but there was nobody at the reception, and the staff was totally uncontactable - no telephone or bell - unable to seek for help after 12am.

A nice hot spring hotel indeed!! It was comfortable to stay there. We chose a room with a Japanese style. That's nice and comfortable. For hot spring facilities, we enjoyed them so much. Staff members were friendly and helpful to answer our questions. Get prepared to spend 15 mins to walk to this hotel from the subway. Better to take a taxi as it was difficult to walk with suitcases on a traffic road.

Probably, a lot of hot spring hotels are a little bit far away from the subway in Yufu-shi It wasn't easy to walk to them with suitcases on a traffic road frankly.

The hotel is about 9 minutes walk from Yufuin Station but it was not a difficult walk. The staff who served me was able to do so in fluent English and she was able to answer all my questions. The public baths were fantastic. I totally enjoyed the outdoor and indoor baths especially after a long day of travelling and walking. Watching the scenery while bathing was a treat too! The room was way larger than I had expected and I loved the lovely view from the windows. I was very surprised by the little gift and postcards that I received when I checked out. It made the short stay so much more memorable.

Everything about our stay was exceptional. The staff were so lovely and helpful throughout our stay, the amenities and facilities were excellent, and the location was great. The room was very spacious and its free car park makes it perfect for those who are driving to Yufuin. We can’t recommend this hotel enough. Would highly recommend!

There was an excellent onsen (separate male and female) on site which was large and included thermal springs, sauna, cold pool and bathing amenities and facilities. The rooms were quite a good size.

The location was a little bit away from the restaurants and shops but we generally didn't mind the walk. Breakfast was not included.
