My husband and myself have had an exceptional experience here. Our every need has been taken care of down to fine details. The breakfast buffet is superb. A very large variety of foods, absolutely delicious. I must say I always look forward to my breakfast. A lovely tranquil, pretty garden with trees to relax in. The view from my room is wonderful, I love it. I can see all my favourite things, trees, greenery, the sea, the mountains and beyond to the horizon. I have a sunny balcony. I feel at peace here in Jordan and at the Oryx hotel. The people are positive, kind, thoughtful, helpful always smiling and ready to accommodate us. I prefer Chamomile tea - the girl who does my room always makes sure I have plenty. As our stay is more than a month we needed to extend our visa. The stuff here were amazing - the security officer here along with their shuttle bus took us to get it all sorted. The security manager was our spokesman and made everything so easy. Raghad the receptionist is marvellous too, arranging everything for us down to the fine details. I love to chat with her about Jordan life. All the reception stuff are so nice and welcoming. The same with Chastine and all the restaurant stuff and chefs - Abood cooked my eggs to perfection. I said to my husband, I feel so looked after here. I can sincerely say this is the best hotel experience I have ever had. Our stay here is nearly 6 weeks. It feels like home to me. Our first time in Jordan. Everything all so new to us. Here at The Oryx our transition into Jordan life has been so smooth. We love walking around downtown, going to the beaches - the local one and the southern ones. Everyone so friendly. We went on one of those glass bottom boats, just for 6JD each at Al Ghandour local beach. It was so much fun. I could write a book here. In short my husband and myself are super happy. The best winter we have ever had.

Speaking of atmosphere, the hotel's overall ambiance is truly inviting and relaxing. The warm and inviting decor creates a cozy and comfortable environment, allowing guests to unwind after a long day of exploring. The attention to detail in the interior design and furnishings adds a touch of elegance and sophistication. Additionally, the friendly and helpful staff contribute to the welcoming atmosphere, going above and beyond to ensure that guests feel at ease and have a memorable stay.

While the hotel's cleanliness could benefit from some improvement, it currently falls short of the desired standard. The staff responsible for room cleaning would greatly benefit from enhancing their service. By dedicating more attention and effort to maintaining a pristine environment, the hotel can ensure that guests feel more comfortable and satisfied throughout their stay. One significant issue is related to the parking facilities. While the hotel's listing advertises the availability of parking spaces for guests' cars, the reality is quite different. Upon arrival, I discovered that the promised parking is non-existent. Instead, they advised me to park my car on the street, which can be inconvenient and potentially unsafe.

The place is good and is a great value for money, the location is also great close to the Fountain Mall and Ayla. The staff are superb, kind and very helpful, they did beyond what is possible to make our stay better after we asked for room change. They were very considerate about our needs for a clean fresh room. Miss Raghad also offered a very nice complimentary package that made our day. The rooms are great size,well maintained, has all essentials (tooth brush, paste, razors, soap... etc), the veiw is also great over looking the sea and the city, the hotel has gym, spa) There is also good swimming pools and birds down stairs if you fancy those things. A special thanks to Miss Raghad, Miss Batool, Mr Hamzeh and Mr Ahmad for their help during our stay.

The breakfast was good and variable , could have been better especially live stations.

We reserved a room at the Oryx hotel just one hour before our arrival. We were pleasantly surprised that they allowed us to check in at 10:00 hrs as opposed to the stated check in time of 15:00. Our room was spacious and clean and had a view of the city and the Red Sea and in the distance Israel. Breakfast was of a high standard, with lots of options catering for all tastes. The staff were polite and efficient without being intrusive. There is a shuttle bus which runs frequently to the downtown area of Aqaba, which is only approximately five minutes from the hotel. I can wholeheartedly recommend a stay at this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay here. The day we arrived, we were brought beautiful chocolates and a welcome card directly to our room, courtesy of the hotel, which was a lovely touch. The reception staff were courteous and helpful, all the way. Buffet breakfast had many varieties of food, from a selection of Arab breakfast foods to Continental pastries, bread, pancakes and omelettes. A big shout out to Miss Majda and the rest of the breakfast team :). Although the hotel is further from the town centre than most places we would usually stay in in Aqaba, there is a free shuttle bus service that goes back and forth to the hotel continuously throughout the day. Our room was large and bright, and the beds were wide and comfortable. Excellent value for money.

Everything was exceptional. Because we stayed here in January, the pool was too cold to swim in comfortably, but it really didn't make a difference to our stay.

the hotel is conveniently located, the room has everything you need, even dental kits and individual washcloths, the view from the balcony to the pool is very good, you can see the mountains. the breakfast is varied. i liked the sauna and the hotel bus, which can take you to the right place in Aqaba and pick you up later. it was especially nice that the hotel is dog-friendly, we have a small dog and although it is smaller than a cat, finding a good hotel is usually a problem, here everything was top notch, thank you very much. sveshchenosets we will return and will recommend the hotel to friends.

Lovely Hotel , well located with a free shuttle service to take you to main areas and back. You can walk to downtown and may take around 20 to 25 mins. All the staff were very welcoming and courteous. Lobby area was beautiful and the whole hotel was extremely clean. We opted for the buffet dinner for 10JD which was great value as well as the choice was good. There is a lovely Mall behind the hotel which is open till late as well as Ayla Marina Village which is nearby and not to be missed especially at night. There is parking available outside the hotel as well as valet parking service. Overall great choice of hotel from which to explore Aqaba from.

A very pleasant hotel, within walking distance to the city center and the beach. the hotel equipment is a bit older, but it is still a nice accommodation.

Breakfast! We stayed at the hotel in a period when there were not many guests, so we understand that the selection was not too big and we had no problem with that. But the problem was the quality - some of the pastries were so old that they could not be eaten, they were completely hard. We returned the scrambled eggs we ordered because it didn't even taste like eggs. The staff didn't care at all why we weren't eating the food. The breakfasts were a big disappointment, so we didn't even try the dinners.

This is a great hotel if you want luxury for an affordable price. The beds are comfortable and the Wi-Fi is strong. An added value are the saunas that can be used for free on demand. It is nice that they offer eggs made to order at breakfast. There is a free shuttle service that operates on demand, which is a nice added bonus. The staff is extremely friendly, the concierge, Ahmed, even arranged a free early drop off at the JETT station when the shuttle wasn't operating (due to the early departure).

It is too bad there is no plug for the bath, so one can only use the shower. There is a bit of wear and tear in the rooms.
