SAAD Astana is is an excellent high-end option for Astana. I found the room to be large with a comfortable bed, nice linen and a very good bathroom. The hotel also met my request of a high floor (13) with a view East along Nurzhol Boulevard. An excellent location, great amenities (a modern, well equipped gym open 24/7, plus a spa and lovely big pool), and a very good breakfast. All for considerably less per night than the international branded 5 star hotels.

Some features in the bathroom and shower were not working 100% (e.g., the control for temperature in the shower was somehow broken). Still got it to work OK

The location is excellent, very central and basically close to everything. Many tourist attractions are within walking distance, and there are large shopping malls and plenty of restaurants nearby. It’s also very easy to get a taxi from here. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Overall, the price and quality of the room offer great value for money.

The drainage in the bathroom felt a bit strange, the water didn’t go down immediately, and I couldn’t quite figure out the design. The sound insulation was also not great; I could clearly hear footsteps from the floor above, and when others closed their doors, I could feel noticeable vibrations in my room.

The hotel is very nice and location is great ! Unfortunately the staff is quite slow and most of the staff is not interested in their guests . There is only one nice and friendly old man , forgot his name , who always nice , respectful and friendly , helped us with the smile to bring our laggage , opened the door and etc . The others communication and respect to the guests are needs to be improved

Only 1 bottle of water in the room and all the other things in the bathroom is very limited for 1 person only.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a perfect central location next to Khan Shatyr. Swimming pool and spa facilities are amazing!

It seems like some hotel rooms are going through renovations. One of our rooms was nice and modern, while the other one still had an old style decoration and furnishings. The rooms were clean overall, but the carpet in un-renovated room felt old and dirty.

This is a former Mariotte hotel, so it still provides for a good quality service. Check in was fast, staff is very responsive and eager to help. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, very good breakfasts with a large variety of hot and cold dishes. There’s also an option to order eggs of your choice. The pool is large enough to swim and rather deep, however the water was too cold to relax in it. The views are splendid, ours was facing the opera theatre and the Shatyr shopping mall.

Overall impression is that the renovation is very much needed both in the main venues and rooms and in spa. Hammam was not working half of the time and when it was, it wasn’t pleasant to be in. The Executive lounge should have more options rather than one type of cookies and occasional m&ms. Hot food is served once a day in the evening, actually was delicious.

The location is excellent, with various attractions within walking distance. The breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options. The staff were courteous and welcoming, always ready to assist with any requests. The rooms were clean and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.

I stayed in early May, and the room was a bit chilly in the evenings. Unfortunately, it was not possible to make the room warmer. The soundproofing was not ideal, and the traffic noise from the roads was quite noticeable.

Excellent hotel, fully equipped ( restaurant, bar, spa, fitness, swimming pool,…) at 5min walking distance from Asia park mall, or khan Shakir or even grand opera.

The only drawback I noticed, for an European traveler, the restaurant proposed classical food, and I would have appreciated to have the possibility to eat more local.

The hotel is actualy named Mariott and located very close to the extended length park where all interesting arhitecture buildings are located. Here are also good food restaurants, although the hotel itself has a nice 27th top floor restaurant.Beside this, there is an large indoor pool with sauna and gym, wonderful for spending some relaxing hours. My executive room was large, with beautiful view over the city, wonderfull bed and soft pillows, a very quiet air conditioner and modern toilett room with shower and even bidet. The breakfast was excellent and served many items of different tasty food, including lovely fresh brewed capucino. I will definitivelly stay there again.

Only some minor things I did not liked, with the not really hygienic carpet in the room (I would prefer easy to clean hard wiod floor or tiles) and the absence of english talking movies on TV. But these are not really items to be desliked.

I have stayed at the hotel several times using Booking.com and Yandex.travel. When I booked several rooms for my colleagues and me, each time I got a room intended for another person. Somehow the hotel does not receive information about a person and the room intended for that person from the aforementioned booking systems.

Loved the location and the staffs.

Did not like the breakfast buffet much as not much selections. And I think the hotel needs to stop putting pork out for buffet because Astana now caters to a lot of halal client who wouldn't prefer seeing pork.
