The pool, the house, the silence. Staff was great. Abdullah, Maureen, Cye and Dorkas ( I hope I got the names right) were fantastic. They kept everything so clean and tidy for us. And they responded immediately to any of our requests. Everything was amazing. Even the manager, Dominik, made a good impression on us. I loved the place. And the fact that they upgraded our stay for the last 4 days made it even more amazing. Pool was kept very clean. House had everything you need to live in. We even had a barbecue by the pool. Water was clean and hot in the shower. Towels and bed sheets were very clean. Security at night and we had privacy at all time.

We had a few incidents with some monkeys but everything was sorted in the end. And I guess mosquitoes are an issue there. Not sure, but I guess some electric UV mosquito killers would help

In Upani in Diani you get real African feeling. The bungalow is in a protected garden, decorated with African motives, simply different from other hotels - and great! In the bungalow you have everything what is needed for a stay - well equipped kitchen, mosquito nets, enough beds. Pool is great and pool towels are provided. After check out we could leave our luggage at reception and when leaving, we could use bathrooms in another room. For the price it’s really good choice with good service and I wouldn’t mind to come again.

There were little irregularities like not working water heating for one day, but if you do not wash your hair, it’s not a problem as in FEB it’s super hot even during a night. Unfortunately, the A/C wasn’t working either, so nights were difficult. But still the feeling you get in this lovely bungalow is worth it.

Me and my family spend few days in Upani and we liked it very much. Our cttage was very comfortable, equipped in everything we needed and it had spacious, private terrace. The property has nice and big swimming pool. Location is good - short tuk tuk ride from a beach (or walking distance if you're not afraid of walking about 1km). The staff is nice and helpful and available pretty much round the clock (we were leaving at 5am and it wasn't an issue - someone was available to open the gate etc.). I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in Diani.

Very calm and comforting cottages within 5min walking from the beach. Staff is friendly and welcoming. They even make you breafast if you ask a day before, but we really enjoyed breakfast right on the street at one of the local eateries and chatting with locals. For beach experience I recommend going down to Le Cafe, which is 5min walk at the beachfront and offer excellent service!!

Those who want to be on the first line to the beach might be dissapointed, but we enjoyed the silence while still being so close to rhe beach and everything it offers

The location is good,far away from street noises,bit far but all good.Mike,the guy I was communicating with was so friendly and so welcoming.He came in the morning to check if we were all OK since we had arrived very late after he left. Overall,I will recommend the place and still go back too.

The house was a bit stuffy,fans were not working well,we saw a lice on the seats upstairs that really scared us.

Upani was beautiful, the rooms were huge and had a lovely balcony where you can watch the monkeys. Set in a very tranquil and green setting and only a short walk to the beach. Beautiful pool and communal areas and Mike was a brilliant host, always ready answer any questions and lent me some books and a much needed phone cable!

The only thing was remembering to turn the hot water on if you wanted a hot shower. This was located down in the kitchen.

I really enjoyed my 4 day stay. The room I got was spacious ,clean and the bathroom was super cute The sitting areas were always clean and comfy. The pool area was by far my best place to relax. There's a pool shower , cushioned sun beds with a cool environment due to the trees. The staff were helpful and they cleaned the rooms every single day. As a solo traveller this exceeded my expectations.

I can't wait to go back.

Lovely property, consisting of several cute small cottages surrounded by lush tropical vegetation in a quiet side street away from any noise and yet a 5' walk to one of the most stunning white sand beaches in the Indian Ocean. Extremely well maintained; rooms, garden, pool and common areas. Spacious, spotless and comfortable rooms. Strong wifi connection, access to a fully-equipped kitchen and lovely outdoor areas to just relax. Quiet pool area with sunbeds and a surprisingly deep pool -you can even enjoy night swims while admiring the beautiful vegetation. This spot would be already perfect enough for a lovely beach holiday, with plenty of options to explore around the Diani area (snorkelling, mangrove sunset sail...), but what truly makes this place SPECIAL is the staff. Each and everyone of them working at the property makes you feel extremely welcomed and taken care of since the minute you set foot into the place. A home away from home, they took care of us like family, helped us in every way they could and always had a smile and nice words every time we bumped into them. We are lucky enough to travel quite a lot and it is very rare to find such joy at an accomodation. We have been very satisfied of our stay of 6 nights in Upani. The garden with the pool is very well taken care of and very beautiful, the room was really beautiful and clean. The beach, and nice restaurants are at a 3 minutes walk distance. We would like to mention the incredible kindness of Mike, the manager, and of the staff in general. He organized us a really nice trip to Tiwi and was always ready to help. He even surprised us with a bed full of flowers petals after we told him it was our honeymoon ! it was such a beautiful thing, many thanks again to him and everyone. We would definitely come back and recommend it.
