Lovely resort with rooms and entire apartments. The complex is charming and the staff are great. It’s located in the affluent area of mombasa and although there is no beach the great views of the city and the channel as well as the convenient location for exploring the city on the other side of the water more than make up for it. The tamarind restaurant in the complex is amazing; one of the most highly rated in Mombasa

There were occasionally a few ants in the apartment when we left things out in the kitchen for even a short while. But this was not a major problem

It must have been the most beautiful hotel room I have ever slept in. The rooms are actually very spacious apartments, with a number of bed rooms, bath rooms and a toilet. All rooms are unique in design and style. We stayed with a large group of 3 families, in 3 seperate rooms and all rooms were very different, but all nice in their own unique way. Ours was the most modern. Others had very large balconies. The children also had a lot of fun in the swimming pool. The food in the restaurant was nice. The views from the room are breathtaking. I felt like waking up as a princess.

The only thing that I would recommend is to have more safety measures in place for children. Some balconies of hotel rooms had very low balustrades, which made it easily possible for kids to climb over. Our room on the 6th floor had a large window, which could completely open until the floow, but had no barrier or safety bars. My daughter actually opened it once out of curiosity, which was very scary!

Beautiful design architecture, both external and internal, super location, excellent swimming pools, pleasant staff, who did their best, nice location near Mombasa?

This is a timeshare apartment block, where the owners let out their apartments, as self-contained units. Unfortunately, some of the owners do not maintain their properties as they should do. The first apartment I had was beautiful, however, the picture was crooked, the shower head was dysfunctional and sprayed everywhere, and came off in my hand. The toilet system was broken and was dripping water down. Non-stop, and the bath was stained with something that made it look dirty. This was disappointing. I had to move out after one hour, and was very satisfied with the excellent second apartment , which was beautiful in every way. The duty manager sorted out this problem professionally, however, the first department should not have been let out in that condition.

The apartment given was spacious and with the comforts that were unexpected

There was no buffet for breakfast as one would have assumed when advised “Breakfast Included” the choice of breakfast did not meet the property worthiness. Need to improve. Also there were lot of house flies quite disturbing while eating. No efforts were done to keep the flies away. This is considered unhygienic. The hotel should make efforts to deal with this.

We had a huge apartment with a full-width balcony overlooking the pools and estuary. It was beautifully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen and lots of seating options both inside and outside, and very good air conditioning. The pools were perfect, the food was excellent and the staff were wonderful. We wish we had stayed longer than just one night.

There was no mirror in the main bedroom (was reported to staff - maybe it had been taken for repair) and there was a broken gutter on another room which created quite a bit of noise when it rained onto a section of mabati roof below. But these were small issues.

Great property, spacious bedroom, well appointed kitchen and a great view of the ocean. I was also impressed by my housekeeper and his efforts in maintaining the cleanliness of my room.

The DSTV did not function at all times.

Our apartment was spacious and beautiful, with stunning views. It really exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the lovely pool.

It was really wonderful. The second pool (in front of the gym ) is under construction - the construction interferes a bit with a peaceful gym experience.

Great facility with a fantastic 5-star restaurant onsite; that ginger pudding is to die for! Service was superb --I particularly remember Gladys --thank you! We were supposed to stay there for a week and then proceed to Malindi, but decided to extend our stay by another week. It felt more like home away from home. We were in a 2-bedroom apartment and it felt more like a house --large with a great view from the balcony into the bay area. The rooms were cleaned daily (thanks Felistus - our cleaning lady); and they were sprayed for mosquitoes and beds made fresh daily. The front desk staff were also exceptional. I wanted to hire a Prado for a 1-day to/from trip to Malindi and it was last minute but the front desk were very helpful and referred me to a nice Car Hire company. I also needed to print some documents for personal reasons and they printed those for me. They were very helpful. It's also near (10-minute walk) a nice supermarket where you can buy everything if you decide to cook on some days. I know where to stay now next time I am in Mombasa; we'll definitely be back. Thanks Tamarind Village - you did not disappoint.

There were afew minor things like not having bright/reading light in the apartment. The ambience was nice and calming, but if you wanted to read a book at night, it was impossible --lights were too dim. But I learned every apartment is different and owned by individuals so they furnish according to their individual taste. There were monkeys daily hovering & playing on the balcony every morning; was entertaining, but something to be careful not to leave doors/windows open if you're not there. There was abit of construction on our side of the complex --an apartment nearby being renovated and it was loud & noisy at daytime if you decided to have down time. They did have a notice in the apartment about the noise though, but it was a distraction.

The rooms were very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The gym is quite good and overlooks the pool and the bay. The pool area was my favourite. such a well maintained pool, great view of bay.

It was a bit pricey, and didn’t include breakfast. The other pool was under construction, so a bit noisy and we didn’t get to use the pool with swim up bar, but the pool that was open is gorgeous and was not crowded.

Facilities are still in good condition and there is a nice pool, though I think they should extend the hours of operation to 9:00pm

The AC in the bedroom could have been stronger. It got warmer as the days went by (we turned it off when we were out of the room. Tamarind is a nice location of the bay, but it’s not very central
