The Ivory Suites is centrally located walking distance to the market, the Tusks, an interesting Hindu Temple, Old Town and some very good restaurants. The hotel is clean, safe, wifi works, comfy room and has an attached restaurant where a great breakfast is served. It is located next to a bus terminal so it's a very busy street outside. It may appear sketchy but I found it safe. I walked through the street waiting areas day and night and was never bothered. Just people going about their business. The staff I met Brenda and Angela were delightful, friendly and helpful. I met Adam the manager/owner one evening and he very interesting to chat with. Overall a good value no frills pleasant stay hotel.

My mother and I stayed at the Ivory Hotel in Mombasa, and we had an amazing experience. The breakfast was outstanding, the bedroom was perfect, and everything exceeded our expectations. We initially wanted a slightly larger room, and to our surprise, they upgraded us without any additional charges, purely out of hospitality. It was such a special gesture. The entire staff, from the two young women at the reception to the security personnel, were incredible—kind, warm, and genuinely caring. You truly feel at home, with everyone going above and beyond to make you feel like royalty. One of the highlights of our stay was how the staff helped us when we were scammed by someone who was supposed to take us on safari. Left without plans at the last minute, we turned to the reception, and the two women were so empathetic. They spent hours with us, trying to identify the person who had deceived us. Later, the manager or owner, Adam Osman, also stepped in, offering us immense support. He spent hours with us, trying to resolve the situation, and in the end, he managed to arrange a safari for us at an incredible discount. And the safari? It was beyond amazing! Truly unforgettable. The warmth, dedication, and generosity of the staff at Ivory Hotel have left a lasting impression on us. We will carry these memories in our hearts forever, and we highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It’s the people who make the difference, and their kindness and warmth are unmatched.

Good central location, again with additional noice at the street, but inside room I didn't experience it. Very friendly and helpful staff, ladies helped me with the route to Diani beach and the local café with sukuma wiki traditional dish (hello if you remember me 😌), and the guard at the entrance of course was always smiling! Everything is new inside hotel and room. Room was spacious enough, clean, had good air conditioning. Breakfast you can select the day before from several options and in the morning you get it in the restaurant near the hotel (probably same owners), everything was delicious for me!

I missed some hook or shelf for clothes in the bathroom. Also, as they are still finishing the repair, around midnight the worker for some reason decided to tap a little with a hammer on the ground floor, but after my call to the reception, it was stopped 🧐

The lady at the reception who checked as in was very professional and detailed. She was very welcoming as well. And not to forget the security guy, both of them, I don’t quite remember their names but they were amazing and very helpful. Looking forward to coming again next week with my wife. I just booked for my mum and dad and this was their feedback.

Well since the hotel is in Msa, I would recommend to have more of Swahili dishes. Especially for breakfast. That would add a nice touch. For example maaragwe ya nazi or mbaazi za nazi instead of baked beans👌🏾

This hotel was nice. The room has ac, a large bed and a large desk. The staff was super nice and helpful, especially angela and moises. The restaurant attached to the hotel is very good. It offers very large portions of food. The breakfast there is amazing and you can order room service for free. The hotel is nicely located in the city center. The hotel is very safe, it has 24h security.

The hotel is close to the mosque so bring earplugs. The view is not the best since the hotel is in the city center.

The room is big and clean. Every room has its own private bathroom with hot shower and all the necessary for a good stay. The employees of the facility are extremely kind and helpful people. The lady at the reception was always nice and kind with me. And even the security guard was very helpful and kind. The place is in the city center and from there you can easily reach several places of interest. For example, Fort Jesus is 5 minutes by Uber. There are also some nice clubs near the place as the CLUB 04, if you want to enjoy a bit the local life.

Breakfast is available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. I had specifically requested to have breakfast at 7 because of commitments made with guides. However, for the two days I was there, I didn't eat until 8am. That's not a criticism of the breakfast itself which was amazing. For real, the chef is very talented. It's about being on time or agreeing with people that breakfast is not there before 8 a.m.

Central location of hotel with main bus exchange outside. Thick concrete walls keeps city bustle at bay. Tiled floors keep easy cleaning environment. Large comfortable beds with adjoining toilet bathroom. Restaurant/cafe next door with set breakfast/lunch menu. Helpful staff on the door and in reception and restaurant. Air conditioning and fans needed to be kept on in room as very hot outside and can be warm inside.

All rooms are accessible by stairs so not ideal for people with wheelchairs or bung knees or hips. No refrigerator in room yet some bottled water is free and can request ice to cook drink. Humidity high so need to go slower and takes time to cool off.

Aisha at the reception was outstandingly friendly and helpful. She is realy the best person for the job. Rest of the staff was also very nice and friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. Nice smart tv. Nice airconditioning and fans and lighting. The quality from the food was outstanding, great taste and spices. They deliver the food and cold drinks to your room if u call and order. Breakfast was also realy nice. Great location in the city, close to airport and naivas supermarket and banks and exchange offices.

4 person room with just 1 seat. Dustbin on request, would also be nice to have 1 in the bathroom for the woman. Restaurant didn't had everything from menu. No option to get the breakfast deliverd to your room. No safe in the room. No refrigerator in the room.

Staff was really helpful and we had a great conversations each time I needed. Once I wanted to pick up a tuk-tuk from the street, they jump in and helped me to bargin and get the best price. Room was clean and had AC. There were no power shortages as we experienced other days in Diani Beach.

Last day in the morning we checked-out really early morning and we ordered a meal-box instead of regular breakfast. We were missing there few items that we requested the day before. Well it's better to get someone local there and have a guide and walk with him, instead of doing this alone. Next time I would ask someoen in Hotel and pay for that. We European citizens are there subject of interest. I found walking there really unpleasent, constantly pulled by someone to buy some stuff. Price could be cheaper imho.

Thank you very much Abdulrezzak at the reception. Abdulrezzak was so helpful that he was very interested in everything. They arranged Tuktuk driver Ali for us to tour the city. Ali showed us around the city very well. If you happen to be there, be sure to take a tuktuk tour around the city with Ali. When we got on the train to leave the city, our phone was left in his vehicle and he delivered it to us in an incredible way.
