The room was perfectly clean & smelled fresh. It had an updated look and everything was in good working order. The shower was hot & had great water pressure. The staff was very friendly. There weren't any sketchy people hanging around and it was nice & quiet.

Even though I was told check out time was 11 am, the cleaning staff was knocking on my door at 10.. When I answered, the woman said she was "just checking* but she had keys in her hand like she planned to come in. It made me uncomfortable to think that she would have come in if I was in the shower & didn't answer the door. She could just add easily "check" with the front desk rather than coming to my door.

This hotel is easy to access from I-81. The hotel and grounds are well cared for by a dedicated, proud, and caring management and staff. The price was economy, but the facilities, amenities, and service were better than economy!

I was surprised by the price on my credit card statement when it came. The amount was $4.96 more than my Booking.com confirmation had. It took some time to track down why the extra charge. It turns out it was an Occupancy Tax. However, the Booking.com confirmation states, "The final price shown is the price you'll pay to the property."

Great value for a short trip with easy interstate access. Staff was very friendly and room was clean and comfortable with several conveniences (fridge, microwave, etc.)

The shower / bathroom was clean but old and could use a makeover. A few light breakfast items to accompany the coffee would be nice but the property is close to several restaurants and fast food locations.

The breakfast was good for the family and there was bananas and boiled eggs available. The staff was helpful and nice during our stay and when we had questions.

The room was damp and musty. There seemed to be black mold on the sink caulk that faced the mirror and if you looked straight down you can't see it. I left a shirt laying on the back of a chair to wear later that day and it was damp by the afternoon.

Christiansburg is the half-way point on our trip to Tennessee. We have stayed at Econolodge in the past and have always been met with warmth and consideration. It is very convenient to I-81 also. Thanks.

Well, there is no available wall plug near the desk. The bedside lamp has outlets in the base yet the lamp on the desk had none. Also I'd ditch the easy chair and replace it with a small table and two chairs.

Good value for what you expect of Econolodge—safe place to sleep while driving a long distance in the interstate. No frills but it was clean and inexpensive.

Staff accidentally knocked on our door at 9 am waking us all up since we got in very early in the morning. That was unpleasant.

Great location. Staff was polite and efficient. Room was quiet, clean*, and comfy... at least, after I got it warmed up.

Mattress was on the downhill side of its life, with a loudcsqueak when you sat in it. Maintenance items that would not be addressed by the cleaning staff hadn't been handled in a long while: air handler vent was dirty, likely quite inefficient as a result. Also, the sink plug had been removed, probably by a maintenance person and left on the cabinet, project forgotten.

The location was right off the interstate and easy to get to Virginia Tech. It was priced right, especially for VT’s Family weekend. The room was clean and straightened each day, which was great! The breakfast was perfect for us…muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and a variety of protein bars and other pastries. Cereal was an option as well. Jake at the front desk was AWESOME!!

The A/C unit was really loud and it was difficult to sleep because of that. We had to turn it off to sleep and then it got warm in the room. Those units could definitely be updated. Bed linens could be updated too, including blankets, comforters, etc.

There is no breakfast at all. Front desk manager informed me that breakfast was no longer provided to guests...
