- We had a fantastic stay at La Mirage Inn and were glad to have picked this property - Management were amazing and answered all our questions, at any time of the day. They made it worth the stay! - The room was so spacious and clean! USB points (incl C) were super handy for travelers like us - Hollywood walk of Fame and surrounds were only a 10 min walk away. Safe area even at night - Parking for $10 per day was a bonus and the car park was safe, with lots of room (CCTV surveillance) - Petrol station across the road where we could also buy drinking water + essentials - 5 min walk to Gelson's supermarket and some great restaurants like La Villita Cantina - Would stay here again!

La Mirage is fairly bare-bones, but it's a fantastic value and provided everything I needed -- a clean, quiet room, a comfortable bed, exactly where I needed it to be located to enjoy UCB and Franklin Village for a week's stay. I could walk to most things, never felt unsafe, and slept like a champ. I kept a car in the lot and it was never bothered.

We would stay there again if we were going to the Dolby Theater as we did on this trip because it's only about a 10 minute drive. Clean, comfortable bed, lots of towels, large room, good storage, refrigerator and microwave in room. It looked like it was renovated in the last few years, nice decor, close to Hollywood Blvd sights, easy parking. Very close to the freeway but double pane windows did a pretty good job blocking the noise at night. Freeway noise was more noticeable in the morning. No breakfast but coffee, Stash brand teas, lemonade and fruit punch available all the time in the small lobby area. Bedside lamps appear to be missing and we couldn't get the TV to work but we didn't call the front desk to report it as it was late at night and we were there only 1 night.

The place is exceptionally clean and the staff are very friendly. The location is great, close to the landmarks and attractions. Keep in mind that this is in Hollywood, the whole area is sketchy. So setting the right expectations for the hotel is key. Despite the surrounding area, inside the hotel is very clean and quiet. This is the best value for the money.

The only remark would be that there was only one chair to sit on in the room for 4 people. Wish there were a small couch or a couple of armchairs. Or even just chairs to sit on.

Location is great given the price per room. It is also comforting to know there is dedicated parking for a fee.

I was okay until the last morning when we were checking out early. There is only 1 person on the front desk which isn't as helpful if he gives the attitude. There are helpful posts but if you aren't a reader type, he wouldn't like it if you wake him up. He came off a bit rude when he said "you wake me up for that". I understand he is sleeping but isn't it his job to attend to whatever the reason the guests called for him. And it's not like its 2 am, we checked out at half past 4 that time.

Nice clean room. It was the only hotel (around the Hollywood Blvd area) that was willing to accommodate our RV over night while we stayed in the hotel. It was not easy to find such a place and I appreciate a lot they let us in. We were nicely surprised there was a machine by the entrance with draft soda, coffee and hot water for tea, all was free to take. It was a nice detail we did not expect and made our stay even nicer. You can see the Hollywood sign from the road next to the parking lot of the hotel, also nice detail :)

The owners provide a personal touch and that is really appealing. They emailed me 1-2 days before and asked for my time of arrival. It was not an auto-generated email. They cared and it was evident. We arrived early and they facilitated an early check-in and we were very thankful for that. It was at the heart of Hollywood (almost). The Hollywood sign (high on the hills) is visible from right outside the hotel. There is a grocery store 4-5 minutes walk and Hollywood Walk of fame is like 10 minutes walk. We walked around and never felt unsafe. Met a few homeless people, etc though. Universal Studios Hollywood is a 10-minute drive (we took Uber instead of our rental car). The room was cozy with 2 queen beds, a fridge, and a micro-oven. It was pretty big and 4 of us had a comfortable 3 nights. It is right next to the highway and the highway exit passes right next to the hotel. Overall we had a nice stay. The Walmart in Burbank is a 20+ minute drive.

Our room was at the 2nd floor and there was no elevator. It was a little difficult to take our big suitcase to the upper floor. Also, there was a daily parking fee of $10 but I guess, it is not much for the location. The supermarket Gelson's was expensive.
