We were going to a college football game as a surprise Birthday present for my husband. We got train tickets so we didn't have to drive. I picked the hotel for proximity, but we had a good experience at Best Western Plus in Houston earlier this year. I changed the arrival time and needed an earlier check in and the hotel was able to accommodate us. She even helped me figure out Uber for the first time. She has great soccer stories, and was able to arrange for a later checkout for us also. She was the best.

Everything and everyone was great.

The room was comfortable and a great location. Staff was friendly and fun. Lorraine in the Boulevard Grill was exceptional!! Her service and attitude were fantastic. She helped another family find a restaurant and even helped them get their food ordered. I'd come back again just to hang out at the bar while she's working!!

Breakfast bar needed hot sauce and peanut butter! Also one of the elevators was broken. That was frustrating but obviously understandable. Also it looked like the balcony was supposed to open but we couldn't open ours. It would have been nice to get some fresh air!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was walking distance to the baseball stadium and a couple food places. Nice quaint smoking area outside. Pet friendly (even though we didn't take our dogs). Nice breakfast buffet in the morning.

Only 1 Elevator was working and at one point we had to take the stairs after a 10 minute wait. Really only one entrance that is convenient. A little bit of an awkward parking situation with the one entrance. The TV kept going in and out like a buffer or a satellite dish with a storm. We could enjoy cey few channels.

Ignorant drivers at the entrance. One car was parked at the curb under the entrance , another discourteous "lady??" parked beside it , thus blocking the passage to parking and went inside , possibly to check in . She came out with a cart and unloaded her luggage and went back inside. She knew I was there trying to pass and just gave me the palms up , hands in the air sign. I was at least 10 minutes waiting to get to the parking. Why didn't she just park behind the first car is beyond me , or does my first word describe her ?

The location was excellent for our plans in the area. The breakfast was great both days that we stayed. The waitress in the restaurant of the hotel was super busy but still gave great service, she even went above and beyond when my daughter left her retainer to make sure we got it back.

Our room had a rotten laundry smell, room seemed much smaller than anticipated. The phone in the room didn't work. The dinner in the restaurant downstairs was ok, but could have been much better for the price you pay.

Pretty much everything was great here. The staff was great, they were very pleasant and also interactive with the opposing teams fans (I was one of those). We were there for the Tigers-Royals game and we were treated awesome! Location is perfect for football or baseball games. Breakfast was great, better than the other cities we went to this trip. Pool was nice, a little cool for my liking, but not cold, I just like warmer water... lol.

I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like here.

The management here is doing a great job. The breakfast budget is going to the breakfast (not the manager's pocket). Breakfast had scrambled real eggs each day and also hard boiled eggs for we who shant eat yolks. There was bacon and or sausage every day. There were rotating days of blueberries, hand cut strawberries, raspberries. There were apples daily and bananas sometimes. There were bagels, toast, pastries, muffins, yogurt and cereal everyday. Waffles and pancakes alternated days. Breakfast was presented resort/convention style by staff who were clearly trained or at least led by culinary trained chef(s). They accept tips and we left plenty...we primed the tip jar when possible. The room was clean and QUIET as we always request ahead of assignment. Room service was performed accurately on days we didn't have the 'do not disturb sign out'. ALL basic 3 start hotel assignments were exceeded. This is easily a 4 star hotel. (I wonder why they are not 5 star?) We will book this hotel any time we visit and by chance do not stay with relatives in KCMO. I generally save 5 star ratings on surveys for folks like Jonah Salk or Mother Teresa, so when you see 5 stars in my reviews you know the place did well.

If we could have left our car parked daily in the check in drive through, this stay would have been beyond belief. Since we had the same parking options as everyone else, it was believable. ...wait...I mean nothing was not to like.

The staff was very helpful, supportive, as well as knowledgeable. My room was clean, the bedding was made to perfection. The breakfast was decent. The location was right off the highway which made it convenient for my travel. The water was hot enough for a good shower.

I couldn't sit down in the bath tub, to take a bath, due to stains in the bottom. I tried cleaning out myself, but they were permanent.

We loved the location next to Arrowhead Stadium. The staff was very friendly. The bed was very comfortable.

We didn't like asking the front desk questions, because they didn't know the answers about the facility. The staff need more training. We didn't like the price hike for the two-night stay just because the Chiefs had a game. We've stayed at $400 a night hotels before and this one didn't warrant it. It was a non-smoking hotel but could smell Marijuana in the hallway and the room. Not sure how the hotel can control it since it is legal now.

The staff were all amazing. The hotel was sold out when we were there and they were all very nice and attentive. Rooms are nice, bed was very comfortable. We were going to a game at arrowhead and we walked to the stadium and walked back. Breakfast in the morning was a whole breakfast buffett. They had fruits, yogurts, waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes and more!! We did use the pool due to timing.

Elevator made a horrible sound every time it was moving. The little store behind the check in desk was very empty
