We had a wonderful stay with Lan and Thi Hong.  We stayed for only 2 nights as they were fully booked so, unfortunately, we couldn't stay the 4 nights as we wanted.   Lan was great with communication before our arrival.   She very kindly arranged a complimentary pick up (and drop off) from the station.   The bungalows themselves are large and very comfortable, with "balcony", a big comfortable bed and much needed air conditioning.  Tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries and hairdryer.  Very clean.  The grounds are beautiful and at the back of the property is a very nice swimming pool, which is lovely for a refreshing dip.   Bearlin Bungalows are outside of the town on the road to the blue lagoons and Nam Xay but they provide a tuktuk service to and from the old bridge into town for LAK 50,000 a return trip.   They also have bicycles that you can borrow and they organised a buggy for us to go out and about in the local countryside for the day.  And Lan booked onward train tickets for us for a small fee.  For breakfast, they offer various set menus to choose from and they also offer lunch and dinner from a very nice menu.   Food was all freshly cooked, very tasty, and very good value for money.   We couldn't fault our stay and we were made to feel really welcome.

The owner and staff are such kind and friendly people. Thank you all for looking after us so well. The bungalows are in a beautiful, calm location, a 20 min or so walk from town, set in a huge flower-filled garden and surrounded by stunning scenery. A true oasis.. The walk into town isn't great due to the dust, traffic and poor condition of the road, but it's easily do-able. We walked in every evening (before it got dark), and the owner arranged for their tuk tuk to collect us from near the bridge to bring us back every night (latest time is 10pm) for a small charge. We just whatsapped her, and the tuk tuk came in 5 minutes - very easy. The bungalows themselves are clean, comfortable and well equipped, with a fridge, kettle and safe. In reception there's a fresh water fountain so you can refill your bottles and not use so much plastic. They provide 2 bottles of water each day, but we didn't use them and chose to refill our bottles instead. The food was delicious, and the setting in the beautiful garden under the limestone karst was unbeatable. I would book this place without hesitation. It would have been a very different experience if we had stayed in the centre of Vang Vieng. The surrounding countryside is wonderful, but the town itself isn't so great. I'm so glad we stayed at Bearlin Bungalow. Book it, you won't regret it!

Nothing.

They arranged a lovely in house massage in our room which was much appreciated after a days hiking. Easy and cheap tuk tuk transfer into town when we needed and train station pick up. They also had scooter hire at a great price. The pork knuckle and crepes were so yummy and highly recommend eating at the restaurant. They arranged laundry for us and gave us guidance about the next stage of our trip. So friendly and helpful and the view of the nearby mountains from the pool was amazing. An abundance of flowers in bloom and butterfly's everywhere in the lovely gardens

We didn't want to leave! But be careful of the slippery tile exits on the rooms below the steps

I cannot recommend this place more. It has such a peaceful energy about it. There is nothing to dislike. The bungalows are comfortable and the views sublime. The staff work so hard. They drive, cook, clean, serve in the restaurant and always with such a smile. They make it way too easy for you to not leave. The food is fresh and really well priced. They organise tours for you which ended up being much better value than the ones I researched when at home. The bungalows are not in the city centre, but that adds to their charm. There are various small restaurants and viewpoints within walking distance. Having the shuttle for a check in and out was really appreciated and such a bonus. Thank you for a wonderful stay. If I’m ever lucky enough to come to Vang Vieng again, I will absolutely stay here.

Nothing not to like- didn’t want to leave!

All the staff here were so friendly and accomodating. They couldn't do enough for you, and all with a smile. The room was serviced very well every day and the room was very comfortable with good hot water. The view from the balcony was awesome. The breakfasts and dinners were very tasty and excellent value. The tuk tuk rides in to town were well organised and cheap. The free ride to and from the railway station was also appreciated. The location is a short ride out of town, which we liked as it provided a quiet night.

The swimming pool while clean is in a sad state. It is smaller than what appears in the pictures, but the problem is it needs repairs. The edging has come off in parts The ladder, no steps, is difficult to get in and out. The pool has a magnificent view and the owner should repair it or replace it with a larger , more picturesque one.

Everything! The location is amazing and is out of town, so quieter & more idyllic (facing a mountain). They The resort is quaint, and the grounds are so pretty and immaculate. The rooms are nice and have everything you need. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. We had our own driver and were driven to local sites for 2 days. The staff were so friendly and really enhanced the whole trip. The highlight of the trip was the view from our veranda - absolutely stunning! We would highly recommend staying here. We stayed in room BB8 (smaller room with view in my photo).

For a 2 star hotel/accommodation we would say it’s at the top end in terms of comfort and amenities. The individual lodges are private and in good working order; the fridge looked new, the air conditioning was good plus a ceiling fan. A nice porch for us overlooking the pool and great natural views of karsts. The gardens are well maintained and offers a really peaceful retreat. The menu selection offers local and a few western options, americano, latte coffee too. All the food we had was delicious. In terms of staff attention and hospitality this is first class, it had a family run feel but the staff are very quiet and busy working. The manager speaks more English and is extremely helpful, he will organise transfers and pick ups making it very easy to access the location. They offer to organise tours locally; hot air balloon, buggy and scooter hire. Having a pool to cool off was great and it was kept clean.

The steps into the pool are a bit tricky and sun beds need full shade, they are not easy to move to avoid the sun.

It was a nice stay. Air-conditioned room with everything one needs. The shower had no pressure in our room, which was a little difficult with long hair. If someone is sensitive to bugs, it might not be the place to go. There are lots of options to enter the room for them. The owner and staff were very kind. There was some construction going on from 7am sharp, which was our alarm clock. We rented a scooter and took the option for gas, which was a mistake. It was more expensive and empty way too quickly. We left one day early, because Vang Vieng was not very nice (due to smoke in the air, there is no view of the beautiful mountains).

It was beautifully quiet with stunning views as it was a 30 min walk out of town. Bliss! We had one of the Mountain View bungalows near the pool. The pool is basic and smaller than it looks in the pics but looked after and provided a welcome dip in the heat. The sunbeds need a bit of upkeep but plenty of chairs around rhe pool too. The staff were a delight and so helpful and friendly. We also hired a scooter which we named ‘Beauty’ and was brand new. We loved zipping around to the lagoons and viewpoints and into town. For 50000 kip they will pick you up before 10pm by the bridge so we walked in for dinner and rang them for collection. Can recommend the Green Mango Thai for dinner but it gets busy so you’ll have to queue. The staff also booked our onward train ticket for us and gave us a lift to the station. Food here is basic but I had the best Phad Thai so far this trip in Laos. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A lovely spacious bungalow set in a well kept garden, I think there were 6 bungalows near the reception/restaurant area with lots of space between each and a nice balcony at the front perfect for sitting out enjoying a drink at the end of the day. There is a pool area a short walk with 4 further bungalows which have a great outlook towards the mountain. The room had AC and large celling fan, room safe and the WIFI was good. Also the room has separate shower, lavatory and sink area which is a nice touch. It's a short distance from the town but this was one of the reasons I chose Bearlinbungalow, however it's only a 10 minute bicycle ride or scooter ride both of which can be supplied from reception. Train station pick up/drop off was also arranged by the property. Friendly hardworking team and special mention to the owner who was kind enough to share some delicious biscuits!!!. Will hopefully stay again on my next visit to Vang Vieng. Thank you BearlinBungalow.
