Mr. Tommy, the owner is a Laotian national treasure! He will arrange for you absolutely everything you can think of - adventures in VV, tickets to other locations, he will expertly answer every answer you may have! Communication with him is very easy and effective! The hotel is quite nice, it has a little swimming pool, free breakfast (great omelettes), the room was spacious and clean. There is a very interesting morning market right in front of the hotel. Location is very close to all the pubs and restaurant, but in a quiet part of town (well, the neighbours sometimes have loud karaoke parties, but I see this happening across Laos). If not for the WiFi, I would have given this place a 10, but if I am in VV I will certainly stay here again, I loved it! Thanks Tommy for being a great host!

The Wi-Fi was pretty bad, disappearing very often and when present - atrociously slow. I needed to get some work done and it was impossible, I ended up buying a local SIM with prepaid data. Some reviews mentioned that Wi-Fi is good here, I did some speed tests and it was the slowest I have seen during my 4 weeks in Laos. However, if you do not care about Wi-Fi - The Mountain View is a great place! Most people do not come in VV for the internet anyways :)

Great stay. The manager BK is so nice. He's friendly, helpful and has the best smile. We had a little hiccup with the motorbike rental due to misunderstanding with another staff, but BK sorted it out. The hotel itself is well located, the swimming pool is great and clean, the room very spacious and the bed super comfortable. Recommended!

The shower is a bit moody, would swing from hot to cold constantly. Also we had noisy neighbours, but that's independent from the quality of the hotel

Spacious room! Friendly family vibe. Breakfast was freshly cooked with lots of fresh fruit options too. Pool looked lovely & clean. Staff were extremely helpful! Organized bith local & onward travel for us that all went to plan!

The only window in our room opened onto a shared internal walkway/balcony. It felt a little exposed at first - and cave like if you didn't open the blind - but the walkway was quiet enough that we felt comfortable opening it.
