Pros: central location, friendly and helpful staff (smooth booking and payment of activities, motorbike rental (no passport needed!), transportation…), comfortable king size bed, central location, room rather spacious, swimming pool When you pay such a small price, moreover in a super small city in Laos, I think one cannot expect a flawless experience. On this basis, this one is a good value for money in our opinion.
Cons: must take off shoes before entering though the soil is not so clean, the bathroom is small and difficult to manoeuvre, bit noisy at times, breakfast is very limited and not so good, though I must say here breakfast was equally poor in all 4 hotels we did in Laos.

it was in a great location close to everything that we needed and even though on the main road not noisy at all. Laundry service was great my clothes actually felt clean. They were super helpful and offered fair prices for organising transport and tours.
uncertain if my partner got food poisoning from the breakfast as it was the only thing we ate separately that day and he fell ill. However food poisoning can happen anywhere and anytime and it was great that the bathrooms felt clean enough to be as comfortable as one can be when ill. Unfortunately there is only one hot water pump so showers were not always hot. It is a local family and I would still stay here again.

The staff were absolutely lovely. Lily and her team were so helpful throughout. Breakfast was okay (with fruit being a nice touch before your main breakfast came out). Complimentary tea and coffee whenever too. Rooms were nice and spacious. The pool was lovely and clean!
Unfortunately due to the location it tends to be quite loud some nights (especially if you have a room out the front, which we did) and one night couldn’t sleep till 2am due to someone singing outside, obviously this isn’t the hotels fault but just something to bear in mind! You can also hear a lot through walls/roofs so every time someone scraped their chair above it was very loud! We also had some pillows on our bed that really didn’t smell too great. Other than that we had a great stay! ☺️

Property was run by a family and they were so attentive! You could book tours/ bikes/ motorbikes/ laundry with them etc all worked out perfect for us apart from the tour, but that’s not the hotels fault! I wouldn’t book this property for the pool as it gets no sun and it’s a little unkept. But great location, great room for the price and breakfast was exactly what you need. They booked our further transfers also which turned out great.
The pool was a little unkept and not able to sit in the sun. Really minor issue when in a beautiful location like Vang vieng.

Decent budget hotel that didn't have any of the noise of Vang Vieng (at least in my room). Location is good - it's on the main road into town with restaurants around and minimarts nearby. Rooms are dated but comfortable. Really appreciated having a comfy chair in the room, the bed was huge and comfy and had a fridge. Bathroom was OK with decent hot water (though a typical wet room style). Good choice at breakfast and had water refill. I got the impression a new family had recently taken over and are doing things up slowly. They were lovely and extremely helpful.
Didn't use the pool as the loungers had no cushions and weren't comfy.

Location was great. I walked everywhere. Although on a main road and I had a room looking onto the road, it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was OK. There was a small pool area where I saw people enjoying the quiet afternoon, but I didn't actually swim or relax there. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They booked me a minivan ride back to Vientiane which they said was much cheaper and more convenient than the train, and they were right. You did get dropped at some random place, but actually it was quite central and I just caught a tuktuk to my hotel a few minutes away.
Nothing that I can think of really. This is not a 4 star hotel, but its a well run tidy 3 star hotel. You get what you pay for. I don't really like the wet bathroom (shower open in bathroom), but at this price it is normal.

At the edge of the town center but on the main street, good position. The bed was comfortable and the receptionist helpful with everything I asked for. Good quality for the price.
The AC just outside of the windows make a lot of mess when they are on (and while you can switch of yours, you cannot switch off the other ones). The breakfast is simple but good... it's just that on three days, in two they didn't bring me the drink. It looks like the ban of the shoes doesn't apply to everybody, so the stairs (black) were always kind of dirty. Impossible to work with the laptop from the room because the table is not a table, I had to work from the hall. Wifi usually was good enough to work and have a call, but in one evening it wasn't usable probably and I had to use my mobile. In three days they weren't able to make me pay by card and I had to go to close hotel of the same owner.

It’s a family run business and they are very nice people. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it’s a lovely place. The breakfast options are limited (it’s not a buffet, you order off a menu) but the plate of fresh fruit you are greeted with in the morning is a pleasant start to the day.
Unfortunately, the walls are thin and you hear when someone in the next room takes a shower or opens/closes a door and it’s loud. I would suggest felt pads on the bottom of the chairs as well because any time someone moves a chair, the entire floor hears it and feels it.

The view from my hotel room was picturesque and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Also, the owners and staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable - the cleaners thoroughly clean the room daily, I asked to swap rooms with a better view and they were happy to do that and I lost my water bottle somewhere in the hotel and the went they help checked all over for it. I also asked them many questions about tours around Vang Vieng and they happily answered them. They were very hospitable, welcoming and patient. I would definitely stay at the hotel again when I am back in Vang Vieng.
The hot water wasn’t very hot
