Staff were so kind and attentive. Room was spacious and clean with fresh water provided every day. Pool is small-medium sized but clean and perfect for a quick swim. The restaurant food was surprisingly fantastic for the most part for a slightly higher price. Breakfast was a choice of a few things but again, generally tasty. Overall the decent quality facilities and helpful staff made it a very enjoyable stay.

Probably not enough sun loungers around the pool & occasionally there was an awful drain/bin smell from the site opposite the pool area. Aside from this the hotel itself was very nice.

A cosy beautiful nanyang style hotel with comfortable balcony and south east Asian style view. There's a swimming pool in the yard, a semi-open-air dining area, sitting in the dining area with a cup of coffee and a breeze is indeed a nice treat. The most appreciated thing is the service attitude and professionalism of all the hotel staff, they are all warm and caring, and help us in time when we need. And their English was excellent.

I was a bit worried about the location before I came here.But in fact, it is still very convenient as it only takes 6-8 minutes to get to the city centre by Tutu or taxi.

This hotel is very much Lao style and they’ve worked hard to keep the history of the place. We loved the little attention to detail regarding the history of the property. We found the location ideal as it was walking distance for us to anywhere we wanted to be. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The rooms were clean and the pool was a great place for a dip after exploring. We thought it was excellent value for money. Considering you are around the corner to a very busy street, when chilling by the pool or in the restaurant you’d think you were in a little peaceful oasis! It can be noisy at night but the hotel provides ear plugs! This place worked for us for sightseeing and catching a breath from our travels.

had such a world-class experience at Chandara Boutique Hotel, starting from the receptionist to the restaurant chef, and the ladies who take care of the cleanliness of the rooms. From day one, they welcomed me with kindness, love, and warmth. When I requested something, such as rescheduling my dates and asking for an extension on my stay, they went above and beyond to fulfill my requests. The hotel is located in a lovely neighborhood with restaurants around it. I will definitely come back, and I highly recommend it. Helpful front desk staff. Hotel with a lot of character and old school charm. Many Laos ornaments and trinkets giving the hotel a cared for feeling. We took a room with private balcony which was a nice space to relax in the evenings. We ate lunch in the restaurant when we arrived. It was very good.

Hotel is a little worn but that is part of the charm. Location a little far away from the western tourist spots but we hired a motorbike so it was a less than ten minute ride to get to the night market and tourist restaurants.

The staff were delightful. They could not have been more helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. I found the bed very comfortable, but my friend found it very hard. The food was excellent. Sitting dining outside on the verandah overlooking the pool was very relaxing. The pool was lovely, and we enjoyed a swim while we were there. The staff helped us to book a driver to our next destination. We really enjoyed our stay at the Chandara.

The location wasn't great, but you can't change that!

Very spacious room, nice swimming pool, cozy and comfy. Breakfast a la carte and dinner good.

Thin walls apparently being a light structure (wood, bamboo?), that has a very poor phonic insulation. If your neighbor snores and you are still awake then you have a bad start of the night. Furthermore the neighborhood seems to be very active during night (say, after 3 a.m.) which makes the snoring of the neighbor already a minor problem. You may also get lucky though and none of these will happen to you.

Its a really great place. Set up is great especially if you have room with View to the pool. The Pool is great but children must be supervised as there is no shallow pool area. However Non Simmer could walk about half. Don't go too far when it become deeper. The restaurant is very nice, good tasty food. I Had breakfast which was great and two times dinner.Tom Yam looked great. The staff is very friendly. Its quite, there is no near noise from main street. And it is very closed to the airport and really not far to the city.It has indeed a little touch from Bali/Lots of elephants,Sculptures and nice Garden architectonic.It has flair to say it simple.TV was good, many channels.Bar-fridge was good.Good bed. So my advise take a room with view to the pool.

I did not say its bad however the light in the room could be a bit stronger.When plug in electronic , the plug is on thinner interior bamboo.So I would not pull the cable as they would be in concrete.

Very peaceful and beautifully decorated setting. Pool was fantastic, very clean and plenty of lounging in both sun and shade with towels provided. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, and they arranged train tickets to Luang Prabang and taxi to the station. Food was good, cocktails were excellent and very reasonably priced. Room was lovely - not super modern and fancy but clean and beautifully presented with a private balcony overlooking a pretty courtyard.

If you wanted to party (which we didn’t) this is probably not the place. Also there’s not much around in terms of shops/sights on the surrounding streets.

Charming Old School Hotel, tucked away on a Side Street, extremely helpful front desk and restaurant staff. We were made welcome the moment we entered the hotel with a beverage. From that moment forward they were very accommodating to all our questions. The front desk staff member was so helpful, even venturing to the train station in the evening to pick up an item that was not allowed on the train Luang Prabang. This was incredible and much appreciated.
