Amazing French deco hotel. Reading for some of the comments I do not understand the problems people have. It essentially looks like a five-star hotel not a 4. Really comfy bed, beautiful wood lined rooms, hot shower and great amenities. The staff are absolutely wonderful, the pool is beautiful, theres a well equiped gym with older equipment and sauna and steam room. The food in the restaurant was beautiful and beer is extremely cheap. I had a problem losing a bank card and the staff went out of their way to help me and were so great. It's a 5-minute walk to the riverfront bars which is an awesome location to.go out. It's a bit of a walk to the center of town but you can get a cab for a few dollars. There are a few bars and places of interest around the hotel too. One of the best value for money hotels I've ever stayed in around the world.

I was impressed from the start! The check in process was wonderful and I was greeted by the doorman, the front desk and a welcome drink was brought to me. My room was wonderful and exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was fine and the pool was extremely refreshing. The front desk arranged for a driver to take me to sites which was extremely helpful. The hotel is located very close to the airport shuttle bus, although the hotel also has a shuttle.

Nothing that I can think of. Maybe the outdoor tables should be set up for breakfast. I would have enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast.

Location is great just five minutes walk to the river and then a bit further to the street market. Night food market is about a ten minute walk away. Other places of interest are close by. Very quiet, no noise at night. Rooms are spacious, well appointed and clean. Bathroom was very nice with good shower pressure and a bath. Staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming, from the doormen to reception, restaurant and bar Special mention for the lovely Pouna in the restaurant and barmen Kai and Sakhone. We met the owner most days, a delightful gentleman who took a keen interest in what we thought of the hotel. Very nice food in the restaurant and by the pool. Breakfast would be better with a bit more choice but very acceptable as it is. Only complaint is that bacon was cold every morning and there was no fruit juice which is pretty standard world wide. Very reasonable bar prices. Lovely pool and surrounding area. Gym is OK but would benefit from something like a cable machine Internet is a bit hit and miss but sometimes that’s a good thing. Overall it’s great value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay. 100% we’ll be staying there again next year. Our air conditioning was not working properly when we arrived. Someone came and cleaned the filters within 15 minutes. Booking.com states executive lounge access and pool view. Rooms on the 4th floor views of the pool are obstructed by air conditioning units and railings, not so by rooms on the floors below. I wasn't bothered but others might be. There was no executive lounge. The description needs rectifying by someone.j

Very nice hotel. Staff was very good & helpful. Location is OK, had to take a taxi almost everywhere, but not too bad & taxis were only a couple dollars to get across town. Nice room, food at hotel was very good. Bed was comfy, gym was good and a bonus sauna & steamroom. Pool was really nice with bar restaurant right there too! Good hotel for the price.

The staff was very helpful. The room was beautiful, and although some of the furnishings were a little dated they were really well maintained. The room was clean, toiletries were provided. The staff told me water was complimentary and to just ask for more if I needed it. They were very sweet.

I mainly booked the hotel to lounge by the pool the day before I flew out but they were preparing for a party and removed all the reclining pool chairs. It felt a little unwelcoming. I asked the staff where I could find a tuk tuk to the Buddha Park and they didn’t seem super knowledgeable. I ended up going to Talat Sai bus station and getting a tuk tuk from there (there and back) for 250,000 but I had to look that up on the internet, which I think the people at the desk should have been knowledgeable about..

Breakfast was very, had enough variety my family needed. Location was walking distance away, a few minutes walk across the road, where you could find plenty of outdoor eateries.wish we had stayed here a lot longer instead of elsewhere.

Pool hours should be till midnight instead of 10 pm, as we were on holiday and were going out till late, would be nice to be able to relax quietly there till bed time.

Room upgrade on arrival. Everything perfectly clean, staff very helpful and professional, great breakfast, fantastic pool. Good location, short walk into town and only one block from the promenade and all of the bars and restaurants. Next time I'm in Vientiane will definitely be staying at the Laotel, won't even bother looking at alternatives. Fantastic hotel.

Location of the hotel is excellent with only a 10 min walk to the restaurants and bars on the Mekong river. The room was very comfortable and spacious. Hotel was able to accommodate our large party of 14 personnel.

Unfortunately the water in the bathroom smelt a little stagnant when showering.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely pool area and bar areas. Room was upgraded to a deluxe - was spacious and very clean. Yes hotel is a bit dated by modern standards but it provides a modern day service and we would recommend this hotel it was value for money.

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The bar and restaurant are well priced and the food is delicious. The pool is totally fabulous and the staff are absolutely wonderful, warm and welcoming. Good location, handy to the night market and the pick up service from the airport is excellent. It was a really nice touch that our ride back to the airport on the day we left was free. Very much appreciated. Thank you for a delightful stay.
