There’s a quiet elegance to the place, the sort that suggests good taste rather than good marketing. The staff, in striped shirts, blazers, and light trousers, look as though they might be heading to the cricket grounds or a languid afternoon and gin fizz at the rowing club. The design is restrained but thoughtful: quality linen, well-chosen furnishings, and a sense of ease that belies the price. It all feels cultivated, not curated—charmingly self-assured without ever needing to prove itself

Not everything, however, quite lived up to the elegance elsewhere. Of the three treadmills in the gym, two were out of order, and the remaining one—looking rather defeated—was already slick with stale sweat by 7:30am. A used tissue lingered all morning just outside the lifts, an oddly persistent presence for a place otherwise so attentive to detail. Breakfast, though generous in variety, descended into something of a rugby scrum. Queues for the buffet and egg station were long, and the layout seemed ill-suited to the morning rush—more chaos than calm, and not quite the start to the day one might have hoped for.

The breakfast was not up to expected standard. The only fruit available was watermelon. There was no yogurt or muesli, although on the second day we asked for yogurt and it was brought to the table. The fried eggs were stone cold. The jam and marmalade jars were empty and not replenished and on asking they only had marmalade as the jam was finished. Bread was simply cheap sliced white or brown, no quality bread. Considering the clientele were predominantly European, this is not really good enough.

Amazing Building, old part of the city, right in the middle of all those towers. Views from the pool and swimming just unbelievable. Step out and you have access to 50 roadside restaurants, but so close to those amazing towers. I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else.

Reception staff amazing, but all a bit under managed. Food services not up to scratch, and when it rains no one has a mop! I just wanted to step in and get things sorted! But I loved this place!

The room was spacious. The pool has a great view and we got amazing photos since you have a great view on the menara specially at night! Breakfast was plentiful and had a solid variety.

The only downside for the pool is that everybody should get out of it once it hits 19hrs. So you kind of miss the opportunity for great night photography in the pool.

Good location. Nice rooms, clean and spacious, and loved the little Nespresso machine. Good quality breakfast. Staff very helpful on all requests and even surprised my dad with a birthday gesture. Appreciate it.

Beautiful space with nice touches that you often miss in developing countries, like hand towels and body lotion. Plenty of space to unpack our luggage and spread out our stuff. The location was excellent, right next to The Row, with tons of restaurants and coffee shops. Lovely place!

The breakfast wasn't great. Also, the pool is really beautiful, but there was a guy smoking right next to the pool, so that ruined it for us. I know smoking at a pool is common in Southeast Asia, but I find it disgusting and infuriating. I'm there for fitness reasons, so of course I don't want to breathe someone's gross cigarette smoke.

Staff were very polite, especially at the front door, they were very helpful. Area was good, lots of different restaurants close by. The room has everything possibly needed for a stay.

There was alot of dust somehow in the room, even after it was cleaned. Don't know where it was coming from because there were no windows that could be opened in the room. The breakfast was not good. The chicken sausages were not good and the baked beans was watery. Not much of a variety. Expected more from a 5 star hotel. Alot of water seeped onto the floor from the shower making the whole bathroom wet.

We really liked the exceptional service - all staff were welcoming and helpful. Wadyd was lovely. The pool was amazing - so nice to be able to swim laps of a pool for exercise and have it all to ourselves at 7am. The view is awesome. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. Loved the neighbourhood too - not as hectic as Bukit Bintan yet so close to local food shops and excellent cafes where you can get a great flat white ( Common Grind and Creme). 5 mins walk to at least 2 different metros and 10 mins to a couple more. And if you like to check out a decent supermarket -check out NSK at the bottom of the Quill shopping mall nearby. And all really reasonably priced.

The basin not being in the bathroom has been mentioned in other reviews - it's Ok, slightly odd but not a biggie. Also the brick fretwork adds interest but does obscure the view from your room. However it's also not a big deal.

Good-sized room and very comfortable. All the staff were very helpful. The rooftop swimming pool is large - great for an early morning swim with a view of the cityscape. Easy walk from the nearest monorail station and a good collection of eating places around the hotel. Getting to the shopping centre, however, was a bit dicey.

It would be good to have a kettle in the room rather than a coffee machine - not possible to make a good cup of tea. One of the hotel rooms where it's just about impossible to switch off every light (never worked out how to swith off the glow around the mirror).

The property was lovely and so were the staff! We had a room with a view which was great though it seems most other rooms do not really have a view / have a brick feature blocking the view, so we got lucky there. Rooms were spacious and the pool view was 10/10. There were lots of great cafes in walking distance. We’d definitely stay again.

The laundry service was quite pricey so we went to the laundromat next door and washed and dried all our clothes in 90 minutes. Also the food at the rooftop restaurant was average but very convenient!
