The pool was so lovely. The beach was really nice and very close. The fried kueyteow for room dining was lovely too. Love the bathroom. Facial soap is something nice.

The room is quite basic for that rate. Breakfast not included. Late check-in (4 pm). No kiblat direction.

I love Hyatt Regency because of its beachfront location. The surrounding scenery is absolutely beautiful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the view.

I was disappointed with the staff service. They provided incorrect information, saying they didn’t notice that I had already paid for breakfast even though I had booked with it. On top of that, I was informed that I could have a late check-out, but they still blocked my key card, which was really inconvenient. Also, the food was quite disappointing—I’d rate it 4/10. The room was expensive, and I paid for a sea view, but the floor had no carpet, which made it really cold. The room itself was also quite small and felt very basic for the price. For a 5-star hotel, the parking situation was really bad. There weren’t enough parking spots, and I had to park outside the hotel. It didn’t feel like a proper 5-star experience at all.

Beach Resort - we found the landscaping beautiful, beach is clean, 2 pools one with bar is just chill, staff is friendly and room is spacious. The air con is nicely cold we can really sleep well in the comfortable bed. Guests in the hotel are half family and half business when we were there. Check in process is good and we got a free validated ticket for car park. We didn’t have a free breakfast for our daughter that morning as she slept till end of buffet but hotel staff is flexible enough to let her get a simple dish and we can paid it as ala-carte. Just a short walk from hotel , is a square with small shops, Starbucks and McD. The evening walk at the boulevard is nice too.

The staff made me feel welcome and appreciated. The check-in process was smooth, and I was quickly shown to my room, which was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was delicious and set the perfect tone for my day. The location was also ideal, with easy access to the beach. I particularly enjoyed the time with my family at the swimming pool; it was a sloping bottom pool. Overall, my experience at Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort was excellent. If you're looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, this is definitely the place to be!

Too bad I couldn't visit the Italian Bistro and Chukka as they were closed on Monday.

The beach, cleanliness of the overall resort, breakfast and nearby eateries.

We arrived at the resort at 11 AM, and the official check-in time was 4 PM, which we were fine with. However, we noticed that other guests who arrived after 12 PM were being given rooms much earlier. We followed up 3–4 times, but each time we were told our room was not ready. Eventually, we were only given our room at 3 PM. Many guests who checked in after us received their rooms well before we did. We were also traveling with a 1.5-month-old baby, which made the wait even more difficult.

Breakfast was really good. The spread was good as well. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The front desk, Mr Rizal, was exceptionally helpful. The servers at the Executive Lounge, especially Ms Yanti was so obliging and helpful as well. In terms of hospitality, I think that Hyatt ranks the best. The drinks at the bar was also well prepared. The beach was clean. The sunrise was beautiful.

1) The tiles in the room was not really aesthetically pleasing. 2) There should be life guards on the beach and there should be the net to alert swimmers not to go beyond the net for safety reasons.

We got the rooms with direct access to the beach which is wonderful. Walking distance to eateries and convenience store. Nice to swim in the warm sea water. Not too far from KL, getting there was smooth and easy. Nice local foods and supermarkets are all 10-15 minutes away. Customer service is great. We asked for extra towels and water and they came very quickly.

Hotel is a bit old but already refurbished. There’s no lifeguard, and the flag is red all the time despite nice weather. Basically swim at your own risk. Beach a little dirty with rubbish (McD wrappers). Have to pay extra RM88/pax for buffet breakfast despite paying RM16xx for rooms for 2 nights.

The beach was great! There were two pools, one suitable for adult and another for kids and adult. The room was much bigger than expected, complete with a separate toilet & sink. Can easily accomodate 5-6 persons actually, if not because of the hotel policy of max 4 adult occupants. The bathroom is spacious with bathroom and separate shower/toilet. There were two sofas in the room (on top of the sofa bed) one of which is large enough to qualify as a spare bed. And the staff even offered to send an extra bed if we wished for!

Parking was very limited. It was low season and not on weekend (check-in on Sunday) and the paid open air parking was totally full at night. Unless if you're willing to park by the roadside across the hotel, which is free by the way At midnight the aircond felt a bit warm, had to lower the temperature to get to the desired temperature. Strangely when morning comes, had to increase the temperature again to be comfortable. The sofabed was a bit hard at places, but not a problem at all for the kids

I absolutely loved my stay at Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort! The moment I arrived, I was welcomed by exceptionally warm and professional staff—every single one went above and beyond. From front‑desk help to pool waiters and restaurant servers, their service felt top‑tier . It wasn’t just me saying this; numerous guests noted similar experiences: “very friendly and helpful staff” . The resort’s facilities are a dream. Two outdoor pools overlooking the sea—one tranquil, the other perfect for families and the swim‑up bar—offered relaxation and fun in equal measure . A private, sandy beach where you can play volleyball, stroll at sunrise, or simply lounge completes the picture . Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with options ranging from garden to sea views. I stayed in a sea‑view room and appreciated the private balcony, though some guests recommend more towel hooks in the bathroom . Dining at the resort is a delight. Kampung Restaurant offers a buffet featuring Malay, Indian, Chinese, and Western dishes with a picturesque beach backdrop . If you’re in the mood for Italian, the open‑kitchen Italian Bistro is a real treat, perfect for a romantic dinner . Drinks at the Sampan Bar and Chukka lounge completed the experience with live music and cocktails by the sea . Though some recent reviews point out that certain areas—like loungers on the beach or sections of the breakfast area—could use freshening up , these are minor issues against a backdrop of overall excellence.

The resort was excellent in many aspects. Firstly, it was located, outside yet not far from the city centre, at Telok Chempedak which was a very happening beach in Kuantan. It was convenient to drive to nearby eating places and sightseeing spots. Secondly, the staff were nice and helpful. The resort facilities were good. We liked that there were two swimming pools. The entire resort was barrier-free. Third, thumbs up for the room cleaning team. The room including the bathroom / toilet is clean and neat every day after we came back from outings.

Some improvements: 1. Dishes and cutleries left at the lift lobby corner after three days. The leftover food might attract cockroaches and rats. 2. Just a suggestion to improve the breakfast table setting - put up a note of "This table is occupied" when guests were seated. 3. A game room with facilities such as pool table and table tennis.
