The private swimming pool was great. The location is quite and not busy or have loud noises ie many people or vehicles, so the family have a peaceful break. The food is good and delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Because of the open door concept, too many "bugs" flying around whilst we were having dinner at the resort. When it rains, some part of the bathroom in one of the rooms were totally wet and cannot be used until the rain stop.

The property is excellent! We really loved the time we spent there. It's spacious, well equipped, comfortable, clean and with a very polite, nice and helpful staff. Nearby restaurant provides tasty breakfast, as well as good selection of beverages and food from their menu. Private pool is perfect. It's clean, spacious, and with a nice shallow part for children. Also, just behind the fence in the back of the villa garden there is a small river, where you can watch local crocodiles, iguanas and a plenty of different birds. Which is awesome. Distance to major Langkawi locations is short. All is close enough - the airport, the port, the Sky bridge, Sea world, some beaches, shopping options, evening food markets...but all is reachable by car only.

As I mentioned before, renting a car is a must. I knew it before, so I am ok with it and actually I enjoyed driving around the island with rented Mercedes-Benz AMG CLS 53 4MATIC+, but some people might find it a bit restrictive. And I cannot even imagine staying there without a car. I have to tell again that I don't rate this thing as something I disliked, it's just a warm warning for other travellers that they should be ready for it. And don't worry, there is a huge parking site just next to the villas.

Breakfast was enjoyable (we also enjoyed our lunch very much) and we were able to order into the villa. Should note that drinks on the breakfast menu aren't included (only the tea and coffee is provided with the breakfast) so an extra charge is added for those. Staff were very kind and helpful with any queries. The rooms were beautiful and very spacious, comfortable beds and lounge chairs.

It is quite an open space which we didn't realise prior to arrival. The pool isn't closed off from the kitchen/living space with any glass doors or similar. This meant it was often quite hot, lots of insects and a bit scary during the night. The showers are also all outside (all enclosed within the villa, but outside under the open sky). It was a beautiful space nonetheless, but may not be for everyone

The layout of the villa was great.Only thing is the open shower concept might need a little more attention since theres trees surrounding the area and might cause a bit of discomfort for those taking a shower.

Theres cats roaming around in the villa since they can enter from various points of the open concept villa and taking food from the dining table.

Amazing stay. Beautiful villas spacious and nice pool. Airport pickup and super nice staff. Zara was amazing and so were Luke and the other staff!

This is the true Malaysian Hospitality. The first message I received, gave me warm welcoming and great impression of the property. Zara, the lady that gave us the first impression of the property, the one who assist us from the beginning, welcomed and showed us around, helped us making a reservation for the breakfast in the villa and at the Jebat Cafe. She was very professional, attentive and welcoming. We stayed in Villa Kasturi, with great facilities including the wifi, private pool, 3 ensuite bedrooms with paddy field view, microwave, coffee machine, smart TV, bathtub in the master bedroom, spacious dining and living area. We rented bicycles for only RM15 per bike per day. The staffs are great, they do everyday houskeeping for the villa. Jai, the staff at Jebat Cafe also very nice and gave us a lot of information about the island. Jebat Cafe's mee goreng, kuey teow, lontong, Roti Bakar and kuih were tasty. We were very happy with our stay at Royale Riviera Resort, highly recommended!

The villa was better than what we expected, we had a lot of space for 2 adults with 2 children and the private pool was really enjoyable. Also having outdoor showers was really great. We could also enjoy the food from the restaurant delivered to our villa each evening, and it was really tasty and convenient.

We could not really enjoy staying in the living room in the evening because of bugs. This is the only drawback we can mention.

The garden concept of villas, private pool for unlimited fun, tranquility of surrounding areas i.e near paddy field, a river behind the villas and surrounding forestry, arrangement of rooms and the living/dining areas.

Pillow a bit too thick, door lock separating the living and rooms was broken (security issue) and termite attack of front the door (i think they overlooked on this). I also have a problem with lack of lighting or lighting too dim surrounding the villas area

I really enjoyed my stay here as it could comfortably fit my whole family and the facilities matched our needs. I particularly was very satisfied with receptionist, Faiz, who was very polite, sincere and helpful during our stay there. His customer service is commendable and made a lasting impression on me. This definitely made any nitty gritty issue less annoying. There were 2 cats who keep coming to our room at night during one of the night but it was handled swiftly by the management after I notified Faiz despite him being on leave. Very swift response

Food at the restaurant was too salty for our liking. The western menu was more palatable. For the price paid, I think the food is okay but I would not return just for it. For lazy days in the villa, just to fill the tummy- I think it’s fine.

The house was wonderful, we loved the open home setting, the pool was a perfect size. We loved waking up to that. The staff was very sweet and extremely helpful. The place is very new and well maintained, however some things were not available yet as the hotel was new.

The open air feel of the villa was great but as the evening progressed, there were a lot a bugs coming into the villa. we managed ok with it but that might be a bother for others. Few services were still being started up- no laundry available, the coffee ran out etc. but these were very minor things. they will improve on it.
