Since it’s a new property it was very clean and beautiful. The decor was amazing. Pillows and beds as well as towels were very luxurious and fluffy. Washer/dryer machine was a great plus. TV’s in every room. A nice balcony to seat on and watch the sunset

There was no place to hang up clothes anywhere in the rooms or the bathrooms. I wish there was somewhere to hang up swimming suits. On our first night in the room we had ant infestation. But the hotel staff changed our room promptly and we’re very helpful

The flat was very spacious with a bathroom in each bedroom. The hotel is very new and well maintained. The cleanliness is beyond perfect really. The washing machine is definitely great for families. The breakfast buffet is amazing with local and western dishes. The sunset from the rooftop pool is incredible. And many excellent restaurants are opposite the hotel giving a variety of choices for dining not too far away. We loved staying at this hotel and the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

In the rooms we are not able to connect to the TV and therefore to our Netflix account. But that's just a detail and it enabled us to have a screen-free treatment 😉. And for black travellers, there's a predominantly Chinese clientele in this hotel, and many of them were taking photos of us without our permission. And in the long run it became a burden and uncomfortable. Even if it’s not the responsibility of the hotel but more due to the customers attitudes.

The rooftop bar and pool are amazing: great view and best cocktails in town! The room was nice and modern, the bed was the most comfortable one out of all the hotels we have experienced in Malaysia. This is a very new hotel, some of the areas around were still under construction, but we weren't bothered by any sounds. The dining area is pretty and stylish. The staff went above and beyond. Once fully opened, this hotel will become a real jem in Langkawi!

The buffet breakfast could benefit from more variety of food selections. The bathrooms need hooks for the towels.

My stay at Riyaz was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The hotel is incredibly clean and well-maintained, and the staff are genuinely kind, welcoming, and professional — they truly made the experience memorable. One thing I especially appreciated is how suitable the hotel is for people who have a phobia of animals. You won’t see any cats, dogs, monkeys, or pets anywhere on the property. It’s a peaceful, pet-free environment that provides a real sense of comfort and security. The location is also ideal. You’ll find plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, and even shopping malls all within a 10 to 15-minute walk from the hotel. Whether you’re looking to grab a quick bite or do some shopping, everything is conveniently close. The beach is another major highlight. It’s only about a 5-minute walk. There’s also a complimentary buggy service to take you there and get you back to the hotel. The beach itself is super clean, quiet, and never crowded — it felt like a private escape, perfect for relaxation. In short, Riyaz Hotel is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a peaceful, clean, and conveniently located place to stay in Langkawi. I highly recommend it and would absolutely stay here again.

We request the room facing sea view, upon arrival they mentioned that the seaview room need to add on rm150/night. They got us room facing roadside with bit of mountain view instead. They should have informed us prior arrival on the additional charges on the seaview room and belive that they should have a separate option on the booking for the room view type. It is frustrating.

Great hotel, everywhere was super clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and attentive, always willing to help with anything. Good location, walking distance to local shops & restaurants & to the beach. Rooftop pool was lovely, the gym was spot on with modern equipment. We upgraded to a room for 3 people and it was like a self contained flat, had 2 bedrooms with their own bathrooms & a lounge/kitchen area, I’ve honestly lived in flats smaller back in the UK !!

Honestly hard to fault anything. They’re building behind the hotel in the space between the hotel and the beach which can be a bit noisy but that’s not a negative against the hotel as it’s not their fault.

The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and outstanding hospitality. Check-in was quick and effortless, and throughout our stay, the service was some of the best we have experienced anywhere in Oceania, Europe, or North America. The buffet breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of options including Asian dishes, local specialties, western favorites, freshly squeezed juices, and a great selection of tropical fruits. The rooftop pool and poolside bar were highlights, with stunning views and plenty of comfortable seating to relax, enjoy a drink, have a snack, and watch the sunset. The property is also within walking distance of several local restaurants, some with live music, providing convenient dining options. The complimentary airport shuttle service was an added bonus, making travel to and from the hotel very convenient.

The beach was beautiful but the walk to the beach through a narrow alleyway wasn't pleasant..

Great location. Junior suite was spacious and had the most amazing views. The rooftop pool really made the holiday for us. The water was clean and the bar and snacks easily accessible. The staff knew us by name.

The service for the room and the villa was variable. Mostly it was good but we had to remind them to leave things like toilet paper and to change the sheets. We had loads of moisturiser but ran out of shower gel. Little things only and they were always fixed upon request but it was annoying at times. A little more training needed possibly. We felt it would be beneficial to have a larger choice of food at the rooftop such as salads for lunch such as those available on the 4th floor restaurant.

The hotel is new and clean. The staffs are very accommodating. Enjoyed the breakfast a lot. Stunning view from the swimming pool. Great location especially when you rent a car there. We have elderly parent with us so walking is not really an option. Overall, we really like the hotel.

Since the hotel is relatively new, some of the facilities are not yet completed and only 1 restaurant operating which did not bother us at all. Missing small details in the 2 bedroom apartment like the phone is not yet working, no trash can in 1 of the bathrooms, and would love if there are bowls too in the apartment and not just plates.
