This is a great social hostel that truly exceeded my expectations. The team and staff were super friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming vibe from the start. It’s perfect for solo travelers looking to meet people, but what I really appreciated was the curfew in place—it shows respect for guests who aren’t in the mood to party every night. High recommend for anyone traveling alone and looking for a balanced, social, and respectful environment.

Overall a great stay, but a few things could be better. I didn’t like the communal kitchen and fridge setup—very limited space to store any food or drinks. I also wish there were food options available in the morning. It would’ve been helpful if the staff had advised guests to bring food before any early excursions, since there aren’t any supermarkets or 7/11s nearby. Most cafes only open around 8 or 9am, so breakfast options were pretty limited.

The best hostile I’ve ever stayed in. Above and beyond for cleanliness measures. Whole staff is friendly, accommodating and helpful. A beautiful space, realllllly awesome aesthetic and vibe. Free beer and open mic on Thursdays in the huge common area (done at 11) with pool tables and darts, guitars, cajon, mic, comfortable hangout areas, a giant silent room for co working. They serve coffee and beer and I believe they have spirits as well. There are so many clear standards that are upheld strongly by staff and backpackers that it creates an extremely respectful yet fun environment. 10/10 for value

This was the first time I ever went to a hostel and it was in one word amazing. This place is something else that I can’t describe in words. But I’ll try. All staf are kind and amazing people in their own way, especially Ryan, thanks for the unmatched hospitality. It’s a nice place to meet people and have fun together and to go out together on tours or just to grab a bite. The toilets, showers, the dorms all of the accommodation was very clean, because staff is cleaning all the time. Never ever saw this dedication to keep a place so clean. There are strict rules and that made it also I nice stay. If I could give it a higher rating I would. Highly recommended place, also for older people (like me) and I hope I will return one day. Thank you!

The friendliness upon arrival accompanied me throughout my entire time here. A smooth check-in, spacious capsule and nice facilities make this hostel a great place to stay at. Shoes are taken off outside, so walking around barefoot is normal. The floor is cleaned almost all time, so no worries on that side, it feels comfortable and relaxed that way (like being at home). The bathrooms are shared, and again very clean. The common areas are widespread, and the co-working space is really nicely done. The whole place is modern, well-built and an excellent accommodation overall.

Due to upcoming hotel buildings and resorts, the natural beauty of the landscape takes a hit. In comparison, I found this hostel is significantly nicer than any new construction.

Insanely clean, amazing staff. Privacy curtains. Malay buffet restaurant beneath with lovely owners for 10/12 ringgit (including chicken/fish). Juice stall below as well. Free water refills. 5 mins walk to beach. Stocked fridge of beers and soft drinks. Big showers and plenty of them! Same with toilets. Modern place. Tours booked with hostel cheaper than those elsewhere! Friendly vibe.

Mattress was fine. But could be a higher standard to match the rest of the hostel. (Being really picky here).

Fantastic hostel that offers everything that you need. Easy to meet new people, generally well equipped. Will stay again if I return to LGK.

It would be great to show more flexibility when it comes to the cash deposit. I arrived tired, payed an amount of ~ 70 Euros for my reservation and they left me no option but to walk to an ATM for the 50 MYR deposit. I offered to even pay more by card or to leave my passport as a deposit to take my stuff to the room - however no flexibility was shown. I still rate the hostel 10 because this was a minor issue, but I politely request the hostel to change this policy that’s not very customer-friendly.

Loved my stay at this hostel! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with great local tips, especially for affordable restaurants and warungs. The hostel also recommended a jetski island tour (550 MYR for 2 people, 4 hours). It was an unforgettable experience! The cleanliness is outstanding. Floors are cleaned multiple times a day, and with the no-shoes policy (you leave them in a dedicated room), everything stays spotless. It really adds to the clean and comfortable atmosphere. There's a quiet office area for working, which was perfect for me. Other perks: drying racks, high-quality scooter rentals, and helmets that are way better than what you’d get from street vendors.

The cleanest hostel you’ll ever go!! Cleanest place we’ve stayed in whilst travelling Asia, including hotels! The staff are just constantly cleaning all day which we really appreciated. Loved the chilled vibe. We stayed in a dorm of 28 and it was so quiet and we got the best sleep. Beds are similar to pods with a curtain and plenty of room. Comfortable beds and plenty of locker space for backpacks. There’s a great front room to chill on beanbags and watch Netflix or play pool, and there’s even a silent room for work space and comfortable reading. Staff were so lovely and sweet and pulled off a great open mic karaoke night - they were giving out so many free drinks! They also had great day trips that you could book on to - the mangrove tour was a highlight for us. Great location as well right by the beach and loads of shops.

-Declining any request immediately for early check in though my dorm was at least half empty for several days you should consider it or at least make it paid as late check out instead of keeping ppl hanging for hrs - one of the staff (i guess because she seems ilder) who was wearing glassess and kinda chubby was not cool and kinda aggressive sometimes -Depending on volunteers to run the business though nice and encouraging but they lack knowledge and they sometimes give wrong information that might ruin ur day and plans —shared bathroom was always crowded and not convenient specially for females only 5 toilets and 5 showers for at least 30 ppl ain’t enough by any means - lower beds are at floor level so it is kinda hard to crawl ur way in and out

All the staffs were very friendly and helpful. A perfect 10/10 for me as it exceeded all my expectations at a very reasonable budget! Plus, everything was squeaky clean, which I absolutely loved.
