Located within walking distance to the Orangutan sanctuary and a few other things. Room was basic but nice (no fridge though). The pool is nice (closes at 5:30pm because "jungle"). The hotel area and walk ways are nice to look around. The food at the cafe is pretty good, but nothing amazing.

Quite far out of Sandakan. We had a car so it was fine, but those without might feel a bit isolated once you're done with the Sanctuaries. Reception is at the cafe which is a bit of a walk away (and no signs tell you until you've stopped there. Felt a bit expensive, but you're mostly paying for the location.

Nice, small resort with a decent sized pool the kids enjoyed cooling off in, the large pond near the restaurant area was great for spotting wildlife. Great location, walking distance to Orangutans and Sun Bear sanctuary's Great food at reasonable prices.

Poor communication from the resort prior to arrival, I messaged several times prior to arrival asking if our 2 children could share our room (happy to pay additional costs) however received no response meaning I booked 2 rooms with 1 adult and 1 child in each room which proved difficult at times.

Breakfast included was great. The food for lunch and dinner was incredible and reasonably priced. The rooms were a basic but nice. Location was PERFECT. Literally a short walk to the orangutans and sun bears. Super close to other activities around sepilok. It's also just a great place to sit around and chill at. Would recommend staying here.

The bathrooms were probably the biggest let down, as some of them didn't have anywhere to hang your stuff, and the water pressure was low in others. But insignificant compared to the pros of staying here.

Wow, what a wonderful place. If you're coming here, it's likely your looking for a jungle adventure and this is the perfect place to stay. The resort has this exciting subtle buzz to it of people on an adventure that helps you get into the groove. I have on the other hand, not experienced such still and calming silence. The walk to my room was so relaxing I could finally say 'ah' - it was just bliss. It's the best of both worlds. Pool was good. BUT THE BEST part of this stay was the team. Oh my goodness, I had sent so many Whatssap messaged asking questions and trying to plan my stay and the most wonderful, caring lady was replying to my texts. She also remembered it was my birthday and greeted me so kindly! Nothing was too much for her and she worked really had to make sure we had a pleasant stay. It was really easy to arrange everything. This attitude and kindness spanned across the whole team, and the owner was always around, making sure people were well fed and watered. Just wonderful. Great location for jungle trips and visits to nearby centres. 10/10 stay - thank you team.

1. Value of money for the traveller in Sepilok (2 Pax in 1 Fan Room with in-suite toilet). 2. Acceptable Walking Distance from the resort for Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre (550m), Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (550m) & Rainforest Discovery Centre (2km). 3. Twin bed & pillow + blanket are acceptable comfortable. 4. Cold & hot water shower with acceptable water pressure. Towel provided. 5. Clean & tidy fan room (AC room also available with a different price). 6. Mineral water & Coffee provided. 7. Acceptable space to perform prayer. 8. Windows protected with mosquito nets. 9. Nice swimming pool (But only open up to 5 pm). 10. Resort surrounded by a Village Jungle. Love the sound of nature at night and early morning.

1. You will find a lot of steps (not disabled friendly), but hey, it is a jungle resort. 2. No mini fridge. You got what you paid for. 3. Resort Cafe's Buffet Breakfasts The menu is limited. Ala-Cart slightly expensive (resort price).

Great location! Short walk to Orangutang Sanctuary and Sun Bears. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The place had a good breakfast and is surrounded by beautiful jungle and wildlife. The hotel helped us organise a night tour at the RDC which was great! Restaurant at the resort had a good variety of food, including vegetarian. Room was serviced with clean towels and a small water everyday. We had a room with no aircon, only a fan and we found it okay.

Be careful as there are a lot of wild dogs around, some are aggressive and can be quite scary. There are also quite a few steps to get around as the resort is quite spread out, bare this in mind for accessibility and luggage. It’s 3 ringgit to refill a water bottle, so try bring your own water if you can. Lots of mosquitos outside, but you will find this anywhere in the jungle so just wear insect repellent every time you are out.

Great location close to Sepilok forest, Orang Utang, and Sun Bear Centres. The staff running the place realy are second to none. You certainly get service with a smile. This includes the domestic cleaning team that kept us supplied with towels,, water , tea, coffee, toilet rolls, and shower gel.The food is also excellent. We arranged our trip to Kitabatangan River through the Jungle Resort which was also excellent. We enjoyed our stay and recommend Sepilok Jungle Resort.

Sepilok Jungle Resort is slightly run down and in need of some TLC. The rooms are on the dark side with unnecessary furniture items that make the area cluttered. The pool could be a lot cleaner. The first row of tiles above the water level were filthy. A nice area sadly let down by the lack of cleanliness.

I'm a biologist, so this hotel was exactly the right choice. Everything I needed was nearby... a very good breakfast, a protein-rich meal, watching kingfishers hunt while you eat breakfast, wonderful. The night walk is highly recommended; the hotel is located in the middle of the jungle, and in the morning, small families of monkeys greet you in the trees... orangutans and sun bears are within walking distance. I will be coming back here for work, so I definitely recommend it. I delayed checkout by an hour because I was still out exploring the jungle, no problem. The staff is very friendly and always available to answer any questions. Thank you ☺️

I have nothing to complain about, mattress is always important to me and even this one was great.

Very convenient location only 5 mins walk to the Orangutan center and sun bear center (about 25 mins fast stroll to rainforest discovery centre). The cafe on site is well priced and has a good menu. The grounds are extensive and lush with massive ponds. The pool area is beautiful, and the staff were all very friendly. They provided drinking water in the room, with tea/coffee, and shower gel and a towel. For the price it is very good value. The internet was very decent too and coverage was everywhere including rooms etc. Aircon in room was good and strong.

Walls were paper thin, could hear people breathing (not even snoring!) so if you are a light sleeper I recommend bringing ear plugs or going elsewhere. The bed linen although was laundered and fresh, had visible stains from years of use. They could change out those stained ones for clean ones to give a better impression.

We loved how immersed we felt, to be right in the jungle, a stones throw from the Orangutan rehab centre. The bridges and walkways through the complex allowed for nature spotting. The setting was peaceful. The swimming pool area was great. The restaurant was run very efficiently. The staff were so helpful and always smiling. All of this we could not fault. Rooms were comfy and basic but no issues there. We would come back in a heartbeat.

The complex itself was very tired and some areas, for example the outdoor disco nightclub that might have once been a busy hub was absolutely derelict.. Walking around the complex we saw what we only explain as a ghost town. So sad because we loved this place. In its day, possibly prior to covid, we can imagine that it would have been more entertaining and vibrant. We didn't come for the entertainment side so all in all we loved our stay and the amazing experience. Thankyou to all the staff.
