the staff was amazing, really kind, helpful and friendly☺️ the room was clean with comfortable big bed and nice bathroom plus aircon. they offered homemade breakfast and a bottle of water every day. They even could borrow bechtowels and a snorkelling set, we were so happy about it. was the best decision to stay in a budget-friendly but comfortable acomodation, 100% recommend to book. they were helpful with transport too- we booked the speedboat from Male with them, was all set and easy.

From the moment I arrived, the hospitality and warmth of the staff made me feel right at home. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, offering a perfect blend of modern amenities and island charm. A huge shoutout to Ulwan and Yadhu, who truly went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. Yadhu provided fantastic local recommendations that allowed me to experience the best of Maafushi, and he also organized a phenomenal shark and ray snorkeling tour—an absolute highlight of my trip! Unfortunately, due to the busy season, I couldn’t extend my stay at Alaika, but Ulwan kindly arranged pick-up and drop-off services to my other hotels, making the transition seamless and stress-free. Their dedication and personal touch really made a difference, and I felt incredibly well taken care of throughout my entire stay. If you’re planning a trip to Maafushi, Alaika Hotel should be at the top of your list. Exceptional service, friendly staff, and unforgettable experiences await you here. I can’t wait to return!

All was great

We must recommend to stay this hotel,the room was very comfortable and clean.Specially two Napali brothers (Dev and Niru) who were very helpful.

Although this hotel is little far from the port but they have free vehicle support for their guest.

The staff is amazingly nice and helpful, picking us from the boat arrivals, greeting us with orange juice at the property and helping with every question we had. They were fast and eager to check us in earlier than usual. The room was clean, bathroom too. In the last day of the stay there, we booked a trip and they allowed us to leave the baggage there. Great experience!

Just a tip, rather than a complaint.. The matress was not really confortable, but well enough for a good sleep.

Super friendly and helpful staff, quiet location, comfortable bed, wifi ok

The safe didn’t work, when someone took my flipflops from the rack I found out the camera above didn’t work either, no seat by the desk, no curtains on the window which is by reception and always has a light on, no plug in the sink for shaving, annoying light controls right over the head of the bed which get hit every now and then.

Clean, well-maintained, and exceptional service all around. Yadhu went above and beyond for us -- he was already following up with the day before our stay, arranged to receive us at the jetty, and answered all our questions about Maafushi. Would definitely recommend Alaika to others who want to stay in the small island 😀

Breakfast could be served a little earlier. Our shark excursion got canceled, but that is because it rained the whole day 😞

Stayed here 5 days and really enjoy it. Staff is super nice and they helped me with everything, booking tours and speedboats. They were always available for help. They also picked me up from the ferry for free as it was pouring raining. The room was super clean and they were providing water every day. Location is pretty good, just 10 min walking from the pier. Thank you guys!!

The staff are very welcoming and accomodating. Once the boat reached the island they had someone waiting to pick me up. The room was very clean and comfortable. The service was really good considering the service. They had free wifi and the connection was fast and stable.

Food variety for the breakfast was very limited. I expected better variety.

The guest house has everything you need and really good staff. We only stayed for a night while transferring to Fulidhoo. The pick up and drop off at the pier were a nice add on and the plated breakfast was tasty. Thank you to Dev for the great service we received!
