We stayed for 5 nights. It has a good location, it is a less than 5 minutes walking distance from the bikini beach. The room is large, comfortable and clean. If you want that they clean your room, you need to put a sign (please clean my room) on the door. We got a bottle of water, coffee and tea every day.

The breakfast is the same every day. You have some options what to eat but after a few days we would like something different. There were a lot of flies during the breakfast. We had a room on the ground floor and we had to have closed curtains all the time, so the people would not see inside.

I think I was given one of the newer rooms. It was very spacious and pretty modern. Comfortable bed. I had a small kitchenette too with a sink, kettle and fridge. There was a little balcony and a nice view of the sea from my room. The breakfast was really good and plentiful, with a very decent amount of variety each day. The breakfast items varied each day so I don't know why other guests said that the breakfast was the same every day because that's not true. The beach across from the hotel is really beautiful and quiet. It's not a bikini beach but you can swim there if you have a rash vest and swimming leggings. I really enjoyed my swim there. The hotel is very close to the bikini beach and the main tourist area in Maafushi. Maafushi is not a big island and is easy to walk around.

It's cheaper to book excursions, day trips and resort day visits from the agents that are along the main waterfront and harbour. Booking those at the hotel is more expensive. There was no more shower gel in the bathroom dispenser when I checked in. It had run out. And little shampoo either. However, they were topped up quickly, once I asked. The wifi kept cutting out and was not reliable at all. That really needs to be upgraded asap. I'm so glad I bought a $40 local sim card at the airport on arrival; I got great use out of that.

It was noisy because after them is building a new hotel and we couldn’t rest..they offered us another room in a different hotel where was quiet but we didn’t have hot water..at least we had quite 😄

Staff picked us up from the pier and gave us a lot of information about the Island. The environment is quiet and the breakfast is good.

The beds are quite old and therefore not really comfortable. We wanted to take a public ferry back to Male, but the staff took us to take a private ferry which is more expensive. He told us this private ferry departs definitely but the public one not always depart, which is a lie.

Great sea/coast views from the balcony - large clean room with two beds, plus a smaller room with sink, kettle, etc. Helpful staff, filtered water always available in the lobby, excellent breakfast buffet in covered area just infront of the hotel.

We were on the top floor and there's no lift! If you have mobility problems, ask for a ground floor room!

People! And location. All are hard working people, with a smile on their face, and sooo gantle and kind in conversation and in general Locstion is a bliss! I would never be on the other side, where is noise and crowd. Here, in Sunrise you have absolute piece in morning coffee, you can snorkel, and when every busy day of yours on reef, resort, jet, with sharks.. is over...you come again in pieceful street and Sunrise hotel Good job folks! 👌

We had a very pleasant stay at Sunrise Beach. The hotel is well located, just a short walk from the bikini beach and the main area of Maafushi. The rooms were clean and spacious, with good air conditioning and comfortable beds. Breakfast was also nice, with a decent variety of both local and international options. The staff were friendly and helpful, always available to answer questions or assist with bookings.

Overall, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay on the island.

Greeted by the shuttle bus at the Maafushi port and taken to the hotel. Good location, easy to find and plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast was an interesting selection of food.

The hotel doesn’t accept card to pay for excursions so bare this in mind if you want to book through the hotel. We ended up booking our excursions from a business by the port as you could get better deals and they accepted card payment. We used the hotel’s restaurant once for lunch and waited over an hour for our food to arrive.

I really enjoyed my stay here. You are greeted with a lovely welcome drink and staff are so helpful. Room was spacious and clean. I had a room with a balcony but view wasn't great. I had a building construction view. Buffet breakfast was good, not amazing but can't complain as it's a buffet. Hotel also offers spa treatments and tours. Note, its much cheaper with the hotel than going to tour operators. Every single staff member were unbelievably helpful, their hospitality is something else :)

No lifts but this is normal in the islands. I just felt bad for the workers having to carry my heavy luggage to the fourth floor.

Very nice staff including reception staff, restaurant staff and also excursions center staff. Special thanks to Alvin who helped us a lot with our kids during the excursions (Shark day, Half day, night fishing, full day). I recommend this hotel to families with Children since they will be helped a lot. Also, the hotel view is very nice and is calm compared to the other hotels in Bikini beach. If we comeback to Maafushi, we will visit again Sunrise Beach Hotel or Sunset Beach Hotel under construction right now.
