Very very nice hotel by the bikini beach, which is the only beach where you can swim on Maafushi island. Location is perfect, and if you stay at Kaani you can get sunbeds for free at the beach.Rooms are spacious, well maintained and i can recommend lower floors because you will get better view of palms😊 I am in love with this hotel, and activities that they organise for guests, last week we had a cinema under stars experience at the beach for free 😃 Also best supermaket is connected with the hotel, very easy to access. Staff is adorable, they were helping us with literally everything, but i must say that Tiger is the star of this hotel. He is so nice, polite, helpful, he was checking all the time if we are fine... simply Star of Kaani Grand hotel. Only thing that shoud be better is a breakfast, they should have more continental breakfast options because there were indian food options for a breakfast and we had only omellete for 4 days staying there. Overall experience is 4, because of breakfast but this is a great value for the money.Can't wait to come again!!

Fantastic holiday , It was an awesome experience , the staff is great , the amenities are great, the location is excellent. The team took care of even the most basic requirements and needs. The staff had a smile when interacting, particularly would like to mention Hassan ( F&B Manager), Samwal in the events team, Kasun and the Manager Wasantha at Kaani Grand Sea View, Anjali and Jesika at the restaurant. It is great value for money and just as good as resorts on private Islands that charge ten times more.

There is nothing much to not like, perhaps only the attitude of the diving/snorkeling activity crew ( third party ) can be improved. There are good guys in the team but some of them could learn from Kaani staff on how to treat guests.

The hotel is close to the beach, have spacious and clean rooms, the sea view is acceptable, and food was good. Some of the staffs were so friendly.

The staff are more welcoming during arrival than at the farewell. The cleaners are so annoying that they knock every morning at their convenience instead of respecting the time suitable for the guests to request room cleaning in the time range allowed. They also seem unhappy doing their job. The facilities of the room are unfair with regard to the money paid. No slippers, bathrobes, an iron, or at least face tissues were provided in the room even after requesting. The sea view was partially obscured by the numerous palm trees (unlike the name of the hotel suggests). The price is exaggerated for the services provided compared to other hotels in the island.

Location of the hotel is simply amazing, just next to the beautiful bikini beach. We especially liked, that hotel provides plenty of sunbeds on the beach. Hotel amenities are nice, everything was comfortable and clean, restaurant provided very tasty food (we had only breakfast). Staff was always helpful, we especially liked, that they came to welcome us to the port when we arrived and also helped us with luggage when we were leaving. There are also many restaurants and shops in the neighbourhood. We had a really pleasant stay and enjoyed ourselves to the fullest :)

The hotel is located on the front of the bikini beach. The excursions with sharks, manta rays and turtles are incredible. The staff who accompanied us during the excursions were real professionals.

The beaches, including the bikini beach, are dirty. The sandbanks of the excursions are also dirty. They could put bins for tourists to throw their rubbish in so that everything would be cleaner.

The staff at the restaurants were very nice especially Ali. He went out of his way to attend to our every needs.

We were met by a guy who called himself Magic Mike although his name badge was written Shakti. He convinced us to do an excursion of swimming with the sharks. He promised us that we would have a boat with changing facilities like a toilet. We agreed . Unfortunately we got a boat without a toilet so we had to change clothes amongst guys that was bad. We have been told the truth so we could have changed in advance at the hotel.

The hotel is in a very good location right next to the main beach on Maafushi Island. The beach is easily accessible from the hotel. Since Maafushi is very well connected to airport, the receiving guys at Kaani counter in the airport were able to arrange an earlier boat than the scheduled boats. The dinner was okay.

The staff at the reception can be more polite and accommodative. I personally had not bad experience but could see them engaging in verbal duels with other tourists. Hotel should also try and proactively clean the rooms when guests go for water sport activities and replenish the water bottles. The water sport activities provided by the hotels are very expensive, pls look for cheaper activities by other providers. Breakfast needs a significant overhaul. The dinner can also be significantly improved. There are no pools in the hotel and they should tie up with other Kaani hotels to provide it. ACs in the room are only moderately effective and there is no AC in the lift.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. They offer a wonderful snorkeling tour which I highly recommend to take. Free sunbeds were awesome with full food and drinks service by the beach. A lot of water sports you can book close by.

Its close to bars and so you hear loud music until late at night which makes it difficult to sleep. The balcony for 3 people room was small. A lot of ants and insects crawling around in the shower. Breaksfast ends at 9:00 which is too early for someone on holiday to get up just to eat.

Location was good directly at bikini beach Staff were quite friendly and helpful Tiger was very accommodative and helpful Good breakfast options for vegetarians Room was comfortable - I had booked the room with balcony and Seaview and it was amazing!

At times the staff were not accommodative ie. my flight back was at 9pm. Check out was 12pm. Extended check out was denied and to sit at the VIP lounge they were charging USD 10 per hour. They should have some ways to accommodate guests with no extra charge who has late flight etc

The view was amazing/stunning, very close to the beach, a lot of palms in front of the balcony, the room was very spacious, good air conditioning, good water pressure, fridge in the room, staff was very friendly, we got an expedition on another island and everyone was happy to see us and they were very pleasant. The hotel doesn’t have a pool but they gave us acces to another Kaani pool from a hotel near.

Only one mirror (in the bathroom), a mirror in the room would be perfect. A lot of noise from the hallway but only on day time, seems like the door was not fully ermetic when closing
