This hotel was clean and centrally-located with all the basic amenities including hot showers, good wifi, friendly staff and a nice common area inside in between the rooms. The breakfast was always delicious. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance and Parque Marimba is only a few blocks away (also lots of eateries there).

The parking garage is 1.5 blocks away and the storage space for maletas was a bit small (though our group had a lot to store and the cost for a room was fairly low, so I just rented a room to store all the bags for the time we were out on our trip).

Easy walking distance to the Marimba Park, where you can find live music and dancing Wed-Sun. Our room was small, but had everything we needed, including a shower with good water pressure and hot water. The staff were lovely and very accommodating.

My only complaint would be that our room was right next to the breakfast area, so it got a little noisy in the morning if you were trying to sleep in. But this actually helped us wake up on time, so it wasn’t a problem for us.

helpful staff. We arrived really early after an overnight bus and the hotel was full. But we were able to check in as soon as the first guests left. Breakfast was good. Convenient location. There's laundry service next door. Short walk to Marimba park and main street.

The room is very small for 3 people. Window faces the corridor so there won't be any privacy if you leave the curtains open.

Although the breakfast buffet offers three different hot options, we didn't like any of them so we went out to get breakfast. Most rooms are around the atrium and only have a window there, so not really outside. This was not a problem for us, we anyway keep the windows and curtains closed to keep out the heat. There are also rooms on the street side with real outside windows, but they're supposedly quite noisy.

The high score is largely because of the staff who present likely the highest degree of professionalism for a property of this type. This goes for the reception staff at check in (easy), the doorman who walked with me to the parking and offered to help with luggage all the time, the cleaning staff who made everything perfect, the maintenance who make it all look pretty, and the restaurant staff who prepare fresh breakfast al gusto, also for vegetarians. One time I was busy during breakfast time and they prepared a meal for me and brought it to my room. So sweet. I requested a room with good wifi. The wifi in the room was functional. The property is safe, 24 hr staff/security, and looks amazing on the inside. The room has a good working a/c, the bed sleeps nice, and there is a small desk. I was blessed with a warm shower on my last night. The temperature fluctuates on the other days, mostly cold or luke warm. Not sure if this can be changed. Tuxla is not everyone's cup of tea I assume. I loved the city. It's very lively, did not feel unsafe, not even at night. Lots of restaurants nearby, the main square is just behind the property. Many vendors of foods and other stuff. Easy to get to the canyon from here.

More of a tip: parking is 1 block or so away on a gated property. When you arrive by car, you can put the car on the street in front of the entrance and the front desk staff will come with you to direct you. Everytime you need to come and go by car someone will have to go with you to open the gate. Almost always someone was there within minutes. It's for security of the car and your belongings, so I understand the system.

A sweet older hotel, with traditional charm. The staff members were kind, friendly and welcoming. Everyone from the young ladies at reception, housekeepers and breakfast lady. Good WiFi, hot water in the shower and a comfortable bed, lots of pillows.

Staff: The women at the Front Desk were SO nice and helpful. They made our dinner reservations, called taxis and in general did whatever thet coukd yo make our stay enjoyable. Location - within walking distance of Marimba Plaza, the Cathedral and various restaurants. We always felt safe. Breakfast: Delicious Chilaquiles and Hot Cakes. Nice corn muffins sold at the Front Desk were great with coffee. Rooms: We booked the Junior Suite and were glad we did. There was plenty of room and the A/C was quiet and worked well. The Junior Suites are in the front of the hotel, so there is street noise that you would not get in the Standard rooms. We exchanged a bit of traffic noise for a bit more space. The rooms were exceptionally clean, both bedroom and bathroom. The towels are a bit worn, but the hot water never ran out. A Marriott this is not, but for the price we paid and the desire to stay "local", we were pleased and would stay again.

Good location near parque marimba, staff was very friendly, decent breakfast in the mornings.

Coffee was disappointing for being in chiapas where it's known for good Coffee. Can be a bit noisy in room when there are families with children staying.

nice, clean, good breakfast we booked a junior suite which was only 20 pesos more and itvwas good because it was big and far from breakfast arra noise...

garage was a bit far, and had weird hours but really it was no problem....

The staff was nice. They could not talk english, but via translate we made it work. The breakfast was okay. There were a lot to choose from. It startede early and was almost until noon. We booked a trip and they helhed with everything. Their tips are on spanish and NOT english. But it was a nice trip.
