Traveling x-country with 3 dogs, looking for safe parking and pet friendly and a memorable place to stay. This checked every box. Location is a 10. All staff were gracious. Room was comfy and quiet. Hotel is eye-candy.

Not a negative, but many hotels in large MX cities have secure parking available and this one does and it is completely convenient and safe but might have been a little confusing as to how to access it except I’d read other reviews that described how to do it, and that when you arrive in your car, you need to phone the hotel and they send someone out to open the lot. I followed those instructions and things went flawlessly not only with a gentleman from maintenance coming out in moments to open the lot, but another staff member came with him with a luggage trolley so I didn’t need to then tote my bags to the hotel entry.

Staff were very accommodating, the shower had a low flow, and they fixed it right away. Cafe is on the premises, Taro drink is very good and all the quick bites. The location is very good.

Only a space heater was available. Plug and unplug it was a hassle. The parking is on the back, so I had a problem with Google direction. Always bring us via 20th noviembre despite heavy traffic. Use Taquería Los Farolitos. With limited Spanish, I needed to memorize the phrase to ask for opening the parking gate. Booking.com stated that breakfast is not included. This is a Hostal, and breakfast is included. If you are sensitive to noise to fall asleep, you need ear plugs to be here during Christmas and New Year.

Beautiful building right in the main square. Comfortable, roomy view. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a little balcony backing onto the back street so quiet. Loved being able to walk to many splendid restaurants and museums, squares, etc. Street entertainment out the front door Staff, as with everyone in Durangi, were very welcoming. Staff eager to ensure we had a great stay. The only small thing is ... don't expect to hot water first thing in the morning; it comes but may take a while. Highly recommend.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They opened up the gate to the secure parking behind the hotel, and then helped us with our luggage all the way to the room.

The property is an old building that’s beautifully decorated with plenty of places to sit. On the he ground floor there’s a café right next-door that opens up into the lobby so it’s just really comfortable,accessible and a café right downstairs. Also, the hotel is located on a pedestrian street.

The location is outstanding being right beside the cathedral and in the main street of the historic town. Exploring was easy and convenient. The building is really atmospheric. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

The breakfast was a bit haphazard. It wasn't clear if there was a menu available or only the included dish of chicaquiles. Staff were very responsive to requests however.....

I was very impressed with the hotel and staff. Everyone was friendly, nice and accommodating. I will definitely be returning :)

The breakfast options could be a little bit better but no big deal. The hotel is centrally located to many different restaurants, which was amazing because we were there to experience the city.

Breakfast and location were good. It’s a beautiful place and the room was nice.

No outside windows for ventilation. The windows open onto the interior courtyard, so no outside air. The courtyard is kind of noisy and includes a small cafe with the noise congestion up to our room. The parking is locked and gated so you have to get someone to let you in and out every time

The staff was attentive and friendly, made special arrangements to store medicine in refrigerator. Aside from the miscommunication between Booking.com regarding a double vs. single bed everything went swell. I will return to booking.com & Hostal de la Monja.

There was a miscommunication regarding the occupancy. We needed two beds , initially got a room with one- that was handled immediately.

The arcitecture is beautiful! And the location is the best.

We brought a dog and we had a very hard time finding a place that would allow us with the dog in a stroller ( he's 18). It didn't have all of the sidewalk cafes that we are used to in Mazatlan. Also, no cnn in english.

Nothing tops the location and the esthetic of the hotel. It is walking distance of so many museums, restaurants, and bars.

The Wi-Fi was kind of hard to connect to. It was a bit spotty. Also, the TVs need major updating. Some detailed and deep cleaning is needed in some areas of the rooms.
