Location was better than expected because the square was closed to traffic. Breakfast was excellent. Coffee in room was excellent. Staff were fun and very nice. Professional.

The hotel itself is so pretty, so authentic Mexican. Upon booking, the reservation asked if we were celebrating something special for the trip and I said yes its my husband’s 60th birthday celebration trip. And when we checked in and opened our room they had a big surprise of rose petals that said 65 anniversary! 😍 and lighted candles, Kisses chocolates and swan shaped towels. It was such a sweet gesture and we truly appreciate it. The bell service, the housekeeping and the reception were all very helpful and friendly and always smiling and courteous. The only drawback were the people serving breakfasts in the morning, especially a girl named Jasmin. She was very discourteous and just plonked your plates on the table when serving. When we asked for water as there was no swlf-service water station, she gave us just 1 glass although there were 2 of us. Then she sat on the bar loudly chatting with the girl manning the bar. When we called her to ask for another glass of water she made a face and grumpiliy pulled herself off the bar stool and asked us what we wanted. We politely asked her if we could have another glass of water as there 2 of us. We even tried to translate the request in Spanish. She said Ah! Ok. Then went back to sit on the bar stool and was chatting away again. When we were about to choke on our food we waved to her and asked if we could have the water we asked. The 2nd time she made a face and pouted and grumpily served us 1 glass of water and didn’t bother bringing a pitcher because the 1st glass was obviously already drank. This girl is not an asset to Don Quijote specially as she serves breakfast and the client tourists need to start their day in the beautiful city of San Miguel de Allende on a positive vibe. All that said about Jasmin -We Thank Don Quijote for the wonderful surprise.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in a superior queen room on the second floor. The room was big, bright, clean and comfortable. The beds were really comfortable. The windows could be opened for fresh air and the air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was good and free bottles of water were available from reception. Everyone working at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. We wanted a good authentic Mexican restaurant for dinner and got good suggestions from the people at reception. It was about a 15 minute walk to the centre of town and we found a couple of interesting routes to get there. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Staff were very friendly and made efforts to assist when we asked for help. Beds were extremely comfortable and lovely and warm with blanket and quilt. Room was big and quiet. Good location though had to walk a bit to get to restaurants.

Breakfast was okay. Coffee was horrible. Toast came unbuttered with no butter or jam to put on it. Beans came in a small dish and were lukewarm. Had porridge one and it was undercooked so very chewy. Bath was hard to get into as quite high.

The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever been in. Breakfast was great and staff were really friendly. Shower worked really well, clean room everyday, and bottles of water restocked daily.

Room was really dark and the bathroom was tiny. There was an older man who would hang out by the courtyard and smoke while people were eating breakfast which was super unpleasant. Also they only give you one room key even if you have multiple people in your room.

I really love the location! It is close to all the action, but a few minutes' walking distance away to where it is really quiet, too. Locked gates at night make me feel really secure. Good breakfast. Good-sized room. Unfortunately, my room window opens onto the staircase, so I didn't open it as much. The rooftop is also really nice, I really hoped they could have added a few chairs/benches to enjoy the night view more easily.

All of it made for a glorious holiday… as if I was at home!

Breakfast is good but we took the free breakfast and is a little limited but however it was good and location distance from the cathedral is so far but in general, good

The bed cloth is a little dirt but just because the laundry machine can’t take off some spots and really I’m very special but really it’s ok very whites , and in the shower , the water got stucked I told to the staff to fix it

My mother and me really enjoyed the stay. Staff was friendly at first I did hesitate to book here due to the reviews. For the price it was excellent. Valet parking was available which they were really friendly all 3 of the guys who helped. The minute we arrived the offer us something to drink. They were willing to accommodate mom to the first floor. Is a 10 min walk to el centro, it felt safe and it was super quiet. Room was clean daily, I loved the coffee machine. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly all 5 days we were there. Anything we needed they provided. The TV they do need to turn on for you the first time. That was not an issue for me. I still had to work during my trip I would work at the court yard and internet was fast. My sister passed by to SMA and they were super friendly and helpful with her even though she was not a guest. My mom loved the hotel she did not want to leave. I was very happy with everything.

Breakfast was included, it was good for the most part. I really do not have anything bad to say about the property.

The property was unique, a few steps away was a nice place to eat, and the staff was very greeting and professional. The property location was in walking distance to most everything.

Really can’t comment on what I did not like because everything met our expectations.
