The owner was very responsive and kind. We wanted a more quiet room and he accommodated us. Also he answered all our questions and was eager to help. He was not on site as his wife just had a baby and he was at home but he was very helpful and his English was very good. The other service people did their best to help us using Google translate. Breakfast starts at 9am. We only made it to one breakfast as our class started early. But the one we made it too was very nice. Good value for the price. Thank you Mauro for all your help.

Our first room was too close to the street. We moved to a better location.

The dinning room was charming. The only problem we had was the cook and service team did not understand any English at all. So it was very hard to communicate. Their standard breakfast was Mexican dishes, which we did not want; therefore the need to order simple eggs and toast (was difficult).If one staff spoke basic english it will help tourists.

The large suite I booked was on the second floor accessible by a set of steep metal stairs. Additionally, carrying luggage up was unimaginable (thought we were offered help). We did not understand this when we booked. But w were offer and we agreed to shift to a smaller room instead on the ground floor. It was not so large and fancy - but was a comfortable room.

Close to everything, but loved that it was not on a busy street, so no traffic for us. We were lucky enough to find a spot right on the street and never had to move the car. Staff was pretty helpful and breakfast was super yummy. The room was spacious and private. Bed was comfy and we had the best nights of sleep.

Room was very cold, even when it was 20 degree out. This was the only low point, everything else was perfect.

The breakfast and location are amazing. It is a comfortable and quiet hotel, and the staff was really kind. All in all I would stay again.

Our room (family room) didn't have a window except for the door, and even in those rooms that did, they were straight into the hallway which was a little odd. The pipes made a strange and loud sound which was annoying and the pool advertised in the pictures, even though it is available for use, is technically part of the private residence of the owner, which for us made using it a little uncomfortable.

We had a great stay here. The place is beautiful, the owners and staff were extremely kind and helpful. It's centrally located, a 10 minute walk from the cathedral. Breakfast was really good and it's served in their dining room or patio. This is family-run small hotel, so don't expect the amenities of a 5-star hotel. We loved it and always prefer this kind of stay than a more anonimous huge hotel.

Beautiful, well kept property. Didn’t really see the staff but they responded immediately. (ie. there want a hairdryer in our apartment. I sent an email and within minutes there was one at our door)

Our one requirement was a pool for the kids. The pool here was freezing and a bit dirty. Not really usable. That was disappointing

We had the third floor apartment with outside terrace with view. We met the owner of the boutique hotel at breakfast. She was such a warm lady. Gracias for your hospitality.

If you had mobility issues Calle Triste and Calle Canal are steep with cobble stones.

Staff was incredibly friendly, breakfast was delicious and learning about the history of the property with the owner was a treat. We visited during Dia de los Muertos and there were so many festivities that were just a short walk away — but far enough to be peaceful.

I would have liked a table or a slightly larger room, but it was not a big issue!

Great location! Walkable to everything. Fans in the rooms. Friendly family/staff. Comfortable beds, roomy closets, perfect configuration for myself and two grown daughters. Quiet at night. Delicious breakfast, beautiful artworks.

I should have asked for a nite lite for the bathroom.

Absolutely gorgeous grounds & gardens, wonderful staff & owner, incredible made to order breakfast! I cannot wait to return! Liz & Ellie were so attentive & incredible staff. Gorgeous quiet & serene gem a few blocks from town. I had two reservations because I loved this hotel so much! Thank you so much, Casa De La O!
