I love the architecture of this property and the fact that it’s only a few rooms makes it more intimate. The staff is what truly sells this hotel. They are 100/10. So kind, attentive, and very good at their jobs. They go the extra mile explaining things & making sure you are comfortable. Once we went into the pool, two minutes later they came with iced water to help us cool down & hydrate. They replace towels outside the pool area as soon as we take one. The amenities are gorgeous and everything stays spotless. Not once did I see anything unkept. There is a private pathway to the beach which makes it convenient to go out and enjoy the waves.

I have no complaints. It’s great! I would have loved to tip the staff in cash but they only accept tips via card and it’s charged by the hotel at the end of your stay (10%). Wasn’t a big deal but I personally like knowing that they received their money in cash but it makes sense for the crew in the back that we may not always see doing the work.

We loved the stunning architecture of the hotel built on the side of the hill over looking the Pacific Ocean. Our suite was gorgeous with a lovely terrace overlooking the bay with two comfortable lounge chairs and our own private pool. The food and drinks were delicious. Our bed was very comfortable with nice sheets. The staff were friendly and very attentive.

I sort of wished they had a private beach but the pools and views and lounges were so nice and private we ended up not caring about a private beach.

We decided to splurge for our honeymoon and stay here. I've wanted to stay here since, I was a teenager and both my husband and I were blown away. The view, the facilities and the staff were just unreal. The bed was super comfy and everyone was so friendly. We loved our time here and would absolutely spend the money to come again. This place is incredible. We were so sad to leave.

If I would change anything, it would just be to add more non-fish main courses on the restaurant menu. My appetizer was amazing, but very limited non sea food options.

This is a beautiful hotel. Our room was huge, so comfortable, and had an amazing view. I could have spent the entire vacation on the balcony. The resort facilities were wonderful, too - I loved to salt water pool, and it was great to have easy access to Playa Ropa. The restaurant was delicious for both breakfast and dinner, and all of the staff were so nice. A very special hotel.

Not as issue for us but potential guests should be aware that the walk to the beach and to town is steeply down-hill (and uphill coming back!). I think anywhere you stay in Zihua would be that way.

Great location. Situated in a cliff so guest gets great views. Walking distance to downtown Zihuatanejo. Adjacent to La Ropa beach

Privacy incident: We ordered room service and were waiting for it at the balcony/terrace of our suite, a few minutes later a waiter is entering the terrace from the suite with the food, so he had entered the room unannounced. We didn't hear the doorbell ringing. Next day I took this issue to the front desk, expecting an apology but didn't get it. They shrugged it off, explaining the waiter probably rang the bell, didn't get a response and entered the room (as they have master keys). After this, front desk staff stopped making eye contact with me and stopped saying hello as they had been doing before.

The location was beautiful, the staff was absolutely fantastic (from Deri/Yuridia helping me with a cancellation before I got here, and arranging airport pickups for two people, to Laura when my partner was ill and needed medic action, to the manager Teresa checking in with us, to reception team for getting us cabs and opening up the gift shop, to the lady making those beautiful flower arrangements on the beds and in the vases in the atrium, to the staff at the restaurant (where the food was amazing) to the gym to the grounds to the service in the Spa: all of it was wonderful, and I will recommend to all my friends/associates.

It was overcast a day or so: please arrange a bit more sun next time.

Meals at the restaurant were very good. Views from the room were spectacular. Large balconies to lounge in the sun or have meals on your own terrace. Location is perfect. Staff impeccable. Can easily spend the entire vacation at the resort.

La casa que canta is a dream. The place is so beautiful, the location right on the sea, great swimming pools where you can actually swim properly, beautiful restaurant overlooking the bay, but the thing that exceded my expectations was the staff who made you feel at home, welcome and special at all times, and the attentions to detail.

That I couldnt afford to stay longer - ha!!

Breakfast was a highlight each day. Beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Staff remembered our name and were caring and kind - very high end 5-star service, esp from front desk and housekeeping. Adorable animal designs on bed each night, made with flowers and leaves. And the ultimate was the salt water pool way down by the rocks. I ordered margaritas there each day, read my book, relaxed, swam, and it all felt deeply restorative. Locational absolutely cannot be beat. Direct beach access to La Ropa but only 5 min walk to Madeira. You have all the options of meals on the La Ropa side and in El Centro all with a nice walk - or a $5 taxi for when you want to give your legs a rest. Sunset drinks at roof bar with acoustic Mexican music 2x per week. And an awesome gym with inspiring views - this exceeded my expectations. Oh -
