This was our first time to Puerto Vallarta and our first time NOT staying in an all-inclusive hotel. We stayed in the ala carte side, opting to have our meals on our own. This was a great option for us as we were able to explore lots of different restaurants and eat whenever we wanted. The hotel was very close to everything. It's right behind the pier, the beach was great, it was always busy and full of people and just a very nice atmosphere. There are lots of restaurants along the beach if you wanted to eat on the beach. The Malecon was very close, and you could walk a fair distance on the beach. The staff were always very hard working, taking down all the beach chairs in the evening and setting them up very early in the morning. The room was very spacious and clean. Our room faced the ocean, and it was nice watching the sunset every evening. There is a huge balcony that we would have her coffee on every morning. We would definitely stay here again.

The only negative thing was that there wasn't any hot water early in the morning. So it was not very enjoyable, but we got used to it. The hot water seemed to come on after 8:00 a.m., so, if you have any excursions that are early, be prepared for a cold shower. Not ice cold but not body temperature either.

Loved the location and being separated from the main part of the hotel with our own elevator bank for the "adults only" tower. Our room faced the ocean/beach and was high enough up that we didn't hear the noise from the pool or the beach. The location is absolutely fantastic for anyone who enjoys great food, shopping, and nightlife while enjoying great views and being right on the beach with a dedicated area to relax under umbrellas. Having pool/beach towels made packing a lot lighter too. The best part about the location is there is no uphill travel when getting from the place to place. This advantage is typically found only at the larger, more expensive resorts.

The rooms are a bit stark - no carpets or floor mats which makes walking barefoot sometimes too cold. We found that cleaning schedule was a bit erratic, which made it harder for us to predict when we might go back to the room in the middle of the day. It would've been nice to have had the option to schedule cleaning timeframes.

Access to a gorgeous adults-only pool and bar. Room had original art that was beautiful. The sounds were incredible: crashing waves, local musicians playing on the beach. Spectacular.

They dont use fitted sheets on the bed, so even a small amount of “bed activity” exposes the foam pad underneath the sheet. Also: if you want friends to join you at the pool, its an 800 peso minimum, per person, which is quite high for the area. Pool food was mostly amazing, but they need to cut their proteins (fish in fish tacos/chicken in club sandwich) into smaller pieces. A restaurant that is tooooo generous! Lol

good restautants minutes away, also vantastic view from room balcony . I liked the the fact that hotel had an Adult side and that was where the ocean view rooms are located. Adult pool no kids and security to rooms was great. they have a family side with pools but no ocean views. i'm going back next year this was a great 8 days.

This was the best hotel I have experienced in Vallarta in the 20+ years I’ve vacationed there. The rooms are modern, spacious, and clean. The terrace on the ocean view side face directly into the historic pier. Señora Berta helped us settle into a most comfortable room with spectacular views. We were in the adults only section with exclusive pool and restaurant. This is a must.

Time flys when you are having fun. We could have stayed longer.

The hotel has gone through some changes separating into two options, family style with all you can eat drinks and buffet or beach tower, à la carte private pool, private Palapa area and amenities. The beach front has the best view that’s where we stay.

I didn’t like if we wanted to have drinks by the pool we had to buy the very expensive watered down ones from the restaurant. This restaurant is empty all the time. you would think they would fix it 🤷‍♀️

Absolutely Loved the location (close to the beach and the markets) and the amazing view from the rooms!! Would definitely stay here next time as well!

Bedsheets and towels were probably not changed every day, I didn't mind that most days but still..would be nice to have fresh towels and sheets every day.

The property was truly amazing, we stayed in the junior suites and loved it so much.

There was a curtain employee on the beach by the name of Ricardo that felt the need to abuse his power over guest’s that payed a lot of money to be there.

We had a beautiful ocean front room with a very large balcony. We enjoyed the adults only pool. All staff we dealt with were very nice and helpful. We loved the coffee and juice table for morning pick up to bring back to our room.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
