We absolutely loved everything about our stay at ZonaZ Boutique Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warm and welcoming staff, the stylish and comfortable rooms, and the fantastic location — right in the heart of the Romantic Zone, close to all the best restaurants, bars, and the beach. The hotel is spotless, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully equipped. You can tell there’s great attention to detail and guest comfort. The bed was super comfy, the A/C worked perfectly, and we felt at home the entire time. What really makes ZonaZ stand out is the hospitality. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. Honestly, it’s a solid 10 out of 10 — we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta!

Friendly, helpful staff. The room was exactly as expected based on photos–spacious and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable. Excellent location–the street and property were really quiet. There's a nice little cafe around the corner. I also liked that there were multiple ways to access the restaurants and shops in the neighborhood below. The wifi worked really well, generally (other than briefly one morning).

An electric kettle to heat up hot water for tea would be great. The ceiling fan was generally great, but one night it got really loud on whatever speed it was on and woke me up. A little basket for used towels, etc. would be great (it could easily fit under the bed).

Quiet location but accessible to everything, definitely a bit of a climb but enjoyed the exercise. Room was spotlessly clean, smelled amazing, bed was extremely comfortable, room was cool and I didn't even need the AC. Breakfast was perfect, gave me the basics I needed to start the day, loved the fresh fruit especially. Shared terrace area was peaceful, and did catch some sun in the middle of the day.

Overall the room lacked privacy and it made it difficult to feel fully relaxed. The curtains were sheer so didn't really give me the feeling of privacy I'd want and expect. The terrace was also really exposed to the room next door and everyone using the pool area so that wasn't enjoyable either. The toiletries, shampoo, etc. seemed really cheap and I would have expected something nicer in a boutique hotel. I also would've expected body lotion which wasn't provided. Lastly, the coffee provided in the room was really sub-par. I know that's a subjective thing, but I found it undrinkable and I can drink almost any coffee.

Lovely boutique hotel where the staff don't bother you, to come and go as you please. A simple continental breakfast on offer to get your day started. My room was huge, bed was huge, very comfortable. ZonaZ provide little extras like beach towels for you to take to the beach and an amazon firestick for those rainy evenings. Right in the heart of Zona Romantica, ideal for LGBT+ travellers. a 24hr corner shop 1 min walk away, 5 min downhill to the beach and the main gay bars, but up the hill and quiet enough that you won't hear everything.

when it's 3am and you gotta walk up that hill to get back, but that's absolutely fine in reality.

The room actually looks nicer than it is in the pictures. But our room was a bit noisy because of the small construction work right outside our door. The workers are really nice though. You can have a very simple breakfast here. The location is nice. Right outside the hotel is the funicular and it’s free. Then the beach is super close. Because the city is really busy but the location promised some quietness. Don’t ever take the taxi nearby! They would rip you off! This happened to me and my friend.

The hair dryer is really small and it took me at least 15 minutes to dry a small part of my hair so I gave up.

Great Location! The hotel was close to the beach (About a 5 minute walk) but overall in a quiet spot. The staff was so friendly and we got great massages on site! Th dipping pool was lovely and a great place to cool off at the end of the day.

There was some construction going on on the floor above us. They were good and tried to do it in the afternoon when most people where out but it was loud and we left the building to avoid it.

The location was perfect! It is just a few blocks from excellent restaurants, the beach, shopping, and night life. It is in a nice quiet area that was safe and well maintained. The room was clean, the bed was large and comfy, and the bathroom had a nice shower with warm water. The little balcony was great to spend the morning with a coffee from the coffee shop around the corner.

The pool was a nice addition for a day or two but not something we used every day. The balcony door didn’t lock right away, but maintenance fixed it as soon as we asked. It did lock behind us so you’ll want to test it out before locking yourself out of your room!

Such a kind and cozy hotel, with cool design, with friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, comfortable, with all necessary stuff in it, with a small kitchen, and a couple bottles of water were provided as well. Two beach towels with bag were available in the room, it's a good surprise, because I forgot my bag at home))) Breakfast (continental) was served in the backyard,. It's only 5 min by foot to the sea side,. I like it a lot .😊

Great location, easy access, great pillows and sheets. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and it checked many boxes for a single traveler. It was very well appointed

Curtains clashed with the chair and art. Black out curtains would have been better and in a solid pattern. Room could use a round coffee table instead of square, easy to run into the corners since the room was very small.

ZonaZ was an unexpected gem. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The pool area was adorable and a nice place to take a dip in the afternoon to cool down. The location was incredible, only 3 blocks from the beach, on the same street as several great restaurants, and there was quick and easy access to the big gay bar area. The only folks I'd warn off are those with mobility issues because it is at the top of a hill.

Can't really think of anything that didn't meet or exceed our expectations.
