What a stunning hotel! Very tranquil, with well-kept grounds and one of the nicest pool areas I've ever seen, boasting amazing background views. The room we stayed in was very nice, with an extremely comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. The hotel also features a very upmarket restaurant onsite, though unfortunately, we didn't manage to dine there as we had another reservation booked for our one-night stay. Speaking of which, we visited Tepoztlan for an overnight trip from Mexico City and would 100% recommend it, along with staying at Amomoxtli. However, I wish we had stayed another night to fully unwind at the hotel and explore the charming town of Tepoztlan, just a nice 15-20 minute walk to the main street.

Gorgeous gardens and grounds, quiet rooms with extremely comfortable beds, lovely heated pool with mountain views and excellent pool side drinks and snacks. Enjoyable activities including yoga and even a New Year’s Eve classical concert that was delightful. Sarah is kind and attentive. Restaurant menu varied and delicious, beautiful preparation and service. 20 minute walk to town but in exchange you get peace and some solitude. Traffic in the little town can be backed up, leave a little extra time

Gorgeous hotel nestled in the spiritual mountains of Tepoztlan. The staff were very attentive and made it a welcoming experience. The restaurant on site is very good too - especially the Breakfast! They also brought coffee and cookies to the room every morning and did a nice turn down service at night.

It’s a 2 hours drive from Mexico City and the roads are not paved the closer you get to the hotel and are in Tepoztlan. It can make someone car sick.

We loved everything about this property! Secluded. Chill pool. Great food (yum breakfasts). Wonderful massage. Beautiful property. Surroundings feel like a movie set. Grounds and rooms are extremely well maintained & cared for! Lux linens & comfy beds. Roomy showers with solid water pressure. Had the best nights of sleep. We didn't want to leave the property (& didn't) once we arrived. Their morning guided meditation was a lovely way to start each morning. It was a short notice decision to stay at Amomoxtli & we're already making plans to return. Wish we knew abt it sooner. This property is a gem.

The food was amazing, huge breakfasts and Michelin star dinner! The views and mountains were beautiful, and the hotel and surrounding area was gorgeous! We were very comfortable and happy with all the amenities. The pool and hot tubs were perfect, and the staff helped us with any questions we had. I even did a yoga class one morning which was lovely. They helped us get to and from the airport, and also had everything we needed in the rooms.

Everyone was so friendly and welcoming from the moment we pulled through the gate. Our luggage was waiting for us in our room after checking in. Service in the restaurant was impecable. Coffee and cookies were waiting for us on the terrace when we woke up. The property is beautiful and clean. The heated pool is a great touch. Truly felt like a luxury experience.

The doors and locks to the rooms are a bit cumbersome, but we felt so safe on the property that we didn't have an issue with closing the door and not locking it.

The pool is breathtaking and has great views of the mountains. Their is also a hottub which is nice if It happens to not be perfect weather. The food was fairly priced and great quality! The staff is super friendly and welcoming to every need. You also feel very safe at the property with their security.

The housekeeping was a bit inconsistent - one day they would refill the water the next day they didn’t (wasn’t the end of the world!) and there are no TVs in the rooms, which was a little disappointing for my sports fan husband, so bring your iPads.

The place is even more stunning in person. The staff was ver polite and attentive. Loved the fire pits by the pool and in the room patio.

I had to pay directly to the property. This has happened on another ocasion and this is not what i signed up for Booking. Not a happy camper with this and thinking of not using Booking anymore. It drinks and food was a bit expensive for what it was. It was my birthday but there really wasnt anything special they did for me.

Location is stunning, breakfast is fantastic, pool is amazing. The grounds are really well tended and the massages are great. They also offer a whole range of activities for free, from meditation to bread making. Overall it's a fantastic hotel - luxurious but understated. Staff are really helpful (though seem to be run off their feet) and the poolside service (with a great menu of food and drinks) is a great extra to have. Our room had its own private courtyard with outdoor fire where we spent a lot of time in the evening. The hotel is a fair walk from the town but we didn't mind - there's plenty to keep you busy in the hotel itself.

The restaurant lacks a vibe in the evenings - it feels very formal and sedate and not really a place you want to hang out and spend time in.

It's a spectacular place and location, an oasis of beauty and amazing food. I wish we had had more time there. The pool and grounds are wonderful and the vibe is calm and cool.

I'm afraid we had probably the only subpar room in the place, without any privacy and open to foot traffic coming and going from the restaurant. It's worth ensuring you get one of the room with either a balcony or private terrace, which seem to be the majority of the rooms.
