Service in the restaurant was mixed. Some waitresses were very caring and friendly, some just ignored you (they were just standing while we signaled that we wanted something) During the weekends they will try to force you to get buffet, they don't serve a la carte even if you wanted and showed up before the buffet started. Be careful with exchange rates we paid more than initially booked, approx 40€

The place was the highlight of the city visit and is worth visiting by itself. It is insanely beautiful and we took some time to just walk around the property and take pictures, look at the elaborate and tasteful decoration and also just smell the roses in the city of eternal spring.

Cuernavaca as such is very spread out and even though there is the official "city center" with zocalo, there still are little hubs here and there. With this place, it is 3+ km away from the official city center, so hardly a walking distance at night. But again - the beauty of the building easily rivals the "official" sightseeing, so totally worth it.

The hotel is located right across a supermarket in a safe neighbourhood. They have a wonderful restaurant that serves excellent food. The lawns are well maintained and beautiful with different varieties of plants. The bed was big and comfortable. They have 3 different pool areas, which provides a variety.

The drainage smell in the bathroom that comes from the pipes before the taps are turned on was not pleasant.

-The Gardens with sculptures and old trees are really beautiful. -Brunch-Buffet on Sunday was amazing! Restaurant Staff is super attentive and literally read your needs before you speak them out. The food was also excellent.

Maybe a hairdryer in the room would have been nice to have. Other than that rather insignificant detail, everything was perfect.

The room was nice, not amazing, but nice. The balcony was a full of foliage so we didn't have much of a view although still very nice and private.

We couldn't use the main pool one day because workers were trimming the trees. Would have been better if this could have been done at a different time.

I don't usually write long reviews, but I'm making an exception for Hosteria Las Quintas. Mexico is full of hotels with this type of concept - colonial style rooms, some gardens, pools, restaurant etc. There are several even in Cuernavaca. This is the best I have stayed in. Although it doesn't look much from the outside, what you can't appreciate from the photos is the size of the property. The gardens are very large, full of stunning vegetation and well laid out so that nothing is on top of anything else. Even when the hotel is busy, you don't feel it too much. The attention to detail in the hotel generally is exceptional. The rooms are large, attractive and well designed, down to the smallest detail. There are electrical sockets exactly where you need them, the shower doesn't spray water all over the bathroom etc. This sounds simple but it's very uncommon in my experience of these hotels in Mexico. Whoever designed this place really thought about what it's like to be a guest. The restaurant is large and very pleasant, overlooking the gardens, with super efficient and attentive staff. There are two good sized swimming pools, one with a jacuzzi, and a third natural pool filtered by plants for dipping in. The staff are extremely friendly and overall it's a very relaxing place to stay. The WIFI quality is excellent - I had to do several video calls both in my room and in the restaurant while there, and it was completely reliable. I'm sure that prices depend on the seasons and of course the room, but I had a suite with a lovely terrace overlooking the gardens, and the value for money was extraordinary. The cost of a Holiday Inn in the USA/UK. I live in Mexico City so I'll certainly be back here, and if you're thinking about booking and the price range is what you're looking for, you won't be disappointed.

Two tiny things that weren't a problem for me but could be super easily done: The weights in the gym are ancient and incomplete. For the cost of a new set, and given that they'll last like 15 years, it seems silly not to replace them. It was the one part of the hotel that looked 'descuidado', which stood out given how immaculate the rest was. Not putting candles on the restaurant tables at night felt like a missed opportunity, as it's such a nice space. Again, not a complaint but an observation.

Friendly staff - as I had a pretty exposed ground floor level room reception changed me into a more private room after the first night without discussion. Beautiful grounds - if you can look past the sometimes a bit garish decoration/statues you will notice the beautiful greenery. The little lake is stunning. Location - ok. Not in the center but it’ll take you 10 minutes and around 70 pesos to get into town or to interesting restaurants.

Internet connection could be better.

It was clean and well maintained. The gardens were immaculate and created a relaxed vibe that was very refreshing.

It would be nice to have a couple of tables in the garden area where one could work outdoors when not in the room or the restaurant.

I would love to stay again at Las Quintas. The room was huge, comfortable and super clean. Staff members were always kind and supportive. The gardens are lovely and give the property a great atmosphere, the restaurant is great and the meals are amazing.

Everything was as expected and more. Spacious rooms, gorgeous property, good food at the restaurant, heated pool. We went with family and friends, and we spent a lot of time at the restaurant, which is in the outside grounds, and it was perfect to catch up with loved ones. Hope to be back!
