First time to Mexico City/Cuernavaca - traveling with my adult daughter (21) so safety/convenience was our main goal. Perfect location for a 2 day stay. The waiter at attached restaurant told us great stories about the street and the property, dating back to 1600's. There is a small curio with artifacts found on the property. We landed in MX City 11:20am, drove 1.5 hrs to Cuernavaca with a private driver. The hotel is located within walking distance of historical sites, restaurants. Gorgeous room, big windows facing the street - visited in late Nov , weather allowed for open windows in the day and early evening. The room has heat and air conditioning which we used briefly and kept windows open instead. Aquatic/gym right across - enjoyable to see folks up early swimming, cathedral view and Robert Brady Museum right down the street. First day we simply walked to the Zocalo and ate while people watching, visited el Palacio de Cortez (free 1 hr before closing) Diego Rivera mural amazing - great view of the city BTW, watched a service at the cathedral up the street, shopped. Sat in the patio of the hotel next to our room and watched a storm roll in while enjoying a glass of wine from the mini-fridge. Was really a lovely day 1 for arriving 1/2 way through. Next day same private driver took us to Taxco, known for it's silver. Wow! The drive and the city are worth it, even for a few hours. Evening back in Cuernavaca we made it to the Robert Brady Museum before closing (don't miss it) then rested and walked up the street, across from the cathedral to a simple but fantastic place with a view of the city. Got caught in a massive rainstorm - the walk home was wet but a great memory!

Traffic is challenging. We had a private driver to get us from Mex City to Cuernavaca which was not expensive and the way to go. If you want to venture into the bigger part of the city, I recommend you consider this option or taxi. The Zocalo is hoppin day/night so if you want to get away to a quieter spot, right up the hill across from the cathedral are ~ 4 quiet restaurants - at the top of the hill is one with a view - not fancy but great food on the patio. If visiting Taxco be sure to wear comfortable shoes. If you or someone in your party has trouble walking or stairs, the square is lovely to hang out and people watch but the town in total is ALOT of walking / climbing up/down stairs.

Interesting architecture, close to everything. Large room with very comfortable beds and a large terrace. The breakfast was well presented and better than most hotels. Staff were friendly and helpful. They organized a driver to take us to the Xochicalco Ruins.

The pool was a bir run down, with little space to sit. They kept the water temperature very warm, so the pool was best enjoyed in the evening.

This boutique hotel has an excellent location. Quiet but close to eateries and transport. The room was not really big but clean and well equipped, next to a nice balcony and beautiful sit out. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice with a big wardrobe,The breakfast was excellent. Served in the garden, it was more enjoyable. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay in a Spanish style historical building.

An electric kettle or coffee machine in the room for morning tea or coffee would have been much appreciated.

Really great facility and services

Not sure if one of the restaurant waiters was a little tipsy 😂. We told him we wanted a red/ rojo (both in Espanol and English) salsa, and he confirmed rojo and served as a green/ verde one. Also he told us extra breads were not included in the complementary breakfast only after we had ones. It is no big deal, might also be language issue (mi Espanol no muy bien).

Cute traditional decor. Nice staff. Good breakfast in a nice inner patio downstairs. Comfortable beds. Lovely sitting area upstairs.

The king room and the double queen room are really nice. But the double twin room is laid out in a strange configuration. Room is long and narrow, so the beds are by necessity head to head along the long wall. Check the pictures.

Great location. Very clean. Great service. Salvador (Chava), Edgar, Mr. Jesus, Mr. Mac all made our stay special and helped us so much. Felt very safe. Recommend for sure

Our only complaint was the American was very limited. For example, adding vegetables to an omelette cost more.

The hotel is a lovely and the staff delightful. It is a very good option, especially if price is a consideration. The breakfasts are hearty and welcoming in the patio. The room was extremely large and airy. The Robert Brady Museum is just across the street (something not to be missed in Cuernavaca in terms of taste and elegance). The bar makes the best cappuccino (and they bring it to the room)! Would definitely stay there again!

The Wi-Fi is a bit slow, but such is probably inevitable in the area, and the hot water takes a while to get started (the norm in downtown historic building). But these are relatively minor concerns (unless one is a road warrior and needs fiber speed).

The breakfast buffet was amazing! Superb quality bakery goods on site and bombastic cafe de olla. Also, we had very little sleep on the date of travel. When we arrived at our room, the bed was so comfortable and they had a fully stocked mini fridge with a wide variety of snacks and drinks! That was at an extra cost but it was also very affordable.

The water in the shower was terrible. It was either cold or very hot. No adjusting to get a comfortable temperature. We weren't able to get a long relaxing shower. The pool was dirty and covered with a tarp. The receptionist did say it was being cleaned. When we took a closer look, there was a lizard enjoying the pool and many dried leaves that had fallen from the nearby trees.

The staff is amazing, accommodating and so very friendly! Beautiful room and location is perfect, walkable to all the fun activities around town and wonderful restaurants!

They have an incredible and fully stocked mini bar but no coffee maker!

Beautiful old-fashioned complex converted from Franciscan community: large ornate room, restaurant in attached open air garden, plus pool past that, affordable parking in entry to complex
