It felt like home. The room was spacious, with walking wardrobe, well lit bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, air conditioner was quite enough to ensure we slept well. The view was astonishing, the balcony had enough room for morning yoga. SometimesI would just sit and appreciate sunrise and birds from the wetlands, the sound from which was meditative. We tried most of the breakfast menu - all homy, either good portion size. We found it cheaper and easier than going out. The staff were great - always welcoming and supportive. We worked in the shared area and the staff provided cold water and coffee.

The kitchen is not for guests, which makes it a bit difficult for the long stay. We still used it in the evenings when there was nobody to assist us in making tea or heating up a leftover dinner (there was no kettle in the room). It would be good to have drinking water available in the room. The day we were leaving an elderly man was quite rude, although we didn’t get who that was ))

La Villa du Golf staff is amazing and very helpful. They took great care of my family with recommendations, substitutions at breakfast, and helping us with other local advice. The villa is very quaint and cute. The owner James really cares about his property and staff, and the staff show that they care about providing great service.

The location is quiet, and that is hard to find near to the hotel zone. With that peace comes a little bit of distance from amenities. There is a good taco stand right on the corner, and some other restaurants also. No large markets or entertainment nearby (15 mins walking). You would have to go about 25-30 mins walking for more variety and shopping.

A beautiful boutique little hotel with a lovely pool and courtyard in a safe, quiet cul de sac. Lovely attention to detail, quality linen and bedding and very nice breakfast. Very helpful accommodating staff. Allowed us to put a couple of items in their kitchen fridge (room didn't have fridge). We stayed in two different rooms, the second (downstairs) was a very nice sized room/bathroom, the one upstairs (Ziva) was a tad on the small size. But both beautifully appointed. A couple of supermarkets and a few roadside restaurants within 5 min walk.

Not the fault of the property but although situated very close to the beach, it was quite a long walk (25 mins plus) alongside a noisy, busy dual carriageway for us to find access to the lovely beach (beautiful sand and water) due to all the large hotels taking up beachfront. But taxi or bus are definite options if you prefer not to walk.

La Villa du Golf is a little familiar accommodation among the huge blocks in the hotel zone. The location is good, close to the center of the hotel zone with restaurants and shops (walking distance) as well as beaches (by foot or bus). We felt welcome and loved the personal atmosphere. The breakfast was delicious and available for a good price. The room was small, but offered everything we needed and the pool invites for a swim. The staff and hosts were friendly and very helpful. They even checked with us that we were picked up by a trustworthy taxi driver, when we left to the airport. Can fully recommend this place, if you prefer a more authentic holiday accommodation than the huge hotels.

Nothing to complain about.

It was an amazing stay, the place is an old Mexican villa, it's gorgeous and very well decorated. It's a big house with big en-suite bedrooms, 6 I think so nothing as huge as the big hotels around. In comparison to the rest of Cancún, this breathtaking villa is cosy, silent and human. It's held by a family and one feels very at ease once settled. The owners are very warm and immediately make you feel welcome. There is a beautiful swimming pool in the back patio. I highly recommend this villa for anyone wishing or having to stop by in Cancún, and willing to avoid parties and noise. It reconciled me with the crazy Cancún I had in mind, there is a way to spend quality time there. Plus the owners know very well the area so they'll be of great advice to direct you wherever you want according to whatever you feel like doing

We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa du Golf and would definitely recommend. It felt like staying in a big, old house and we hardly saw anybody else during our stay. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. They even stored a bag for us while we went to Mexico City for a few days during our stay. The free breakfast (bread, cheese and fruit) was perfect, but there’s also a menu of other items too. The Villa is situated on a quiet road that feels nicely separated from the Hotel Zone, while being close enough to everything. We could easily walk to the beach (we walked through the Presidente Intercontinental hotel to Playa Ancha, which we loved, and Kinha Palapa is a great for food). There’s a convenient little store on the same street as the villa, and a gas station close by for buying food and drink. When travelling a bit further, there was always an Uber within 5 minutes! Top tip - Uber doesn’t pick up from the airport (but they do drop off when flying home). Definitely reserve the villa’s recommended shuttle in advance, to save an extortionate taxi (we found this out the hard way).

The pool is quite small and shallow, so not really suitable for swimming, but we didn’t mind. We swam in the sea and also got an all inclusive day pass at Club Med, which I also recommend!

This hotel is located in a very quiet and safe area of the hotel zone (and a golf club). It is super close to the city center by bus or Uber or a taxi. The atmosphere is soooo cozy. The place had a very cute interior and was decorated very aesthetically. The staff was just another level of friendly and kind. The breakfast was prepared on the spot, everything very fresh and it was delicious! They were always so attentive and polite. Not because they had to but just because they really are polite and nice people. I will definitely come back to stay at la villa du Golf! Thank you so much it was a pleasure.

I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the ladies working at this hotel for their exceptional care. My son didn't feel well during our stay, and they went out of their way to fetch honey and make tea for him. The sincerity and kindness they showed in their actions were touching. The hotel is located in a safe area and is housed in a beautiful villa in traditional Mexican style. It offers a wonderful alternative to the high-rise hotels typical in Cancún, providing a more personal and intimate atmosphere. Thank you for providing a comfortable stay and your genuine warmth and friendliness.

The hotel is beautiful, and my room was great, complete with a shared terrace overlooking the pool (Junior Suite). The staff was outstandingly accommodating, especially with daily room cleaning. The optional breakfast is ala cart and is made to order. I got it once, and it was delicious! The prices were in a reasonable range for the area, I believe about 180-300ish peso range, depending on the dish. The hotel is set back in a quiet neighborhood, which was nice in many ways. It was a pleasant 10ish minute walk to the bus stop, and the buses are very straightforward and inexpensive--12 pesos per ride up and down the Cancun strip. Within that 10ish minute walk is a convenience store/gas station and a few casual outdoor seating-only pizza/taco restaurants/ bars. You can walk to the main Cancun "party" area in about 15 minutes.

The beach wasn't as close or as easily accessible as I thought it would be. This is maybe more of a criticism of how the Cancun hotel zone is set up though, because the beach access points are not always clear, so I often ended up walking past huge resorts only to have to backtrack to get to the public access point ( or in a few cases, just try my luck walking into the resorts pretending to be a guest there... worked 2 out of 3 times 👍).

The staff is very friendly, we were allowed to leave a luggage bag for two weeks at no cost (since we only spent one night in Cancún and came back only two weeks later). The small house is neat and clean, there is also a small pool that we basically had for ourselves. We have a nice a quite room with a terrace with view to the pool. There is a optional breakfast that we did not taste since everything was with gluten (like hotcakes, etc) and my daughter has a gluten allergy, but nearby there is delicious typical Mexican food, so we had a great breakfast of Quesadillas of corn flour at the terrace... :-)

Perhaps (only perhaps!) the only problem with this accommodation is its location: The neighborhood is safe and quite but it is a bit far away from the main touristic scene. You have to walk 2km to be on one of Cancun's main beaches (the forum). But if you don't dislike to walk (as it was our case!) the location is great! (if you dislike walking, you might need a car here).
