We had an incredible time at this hotel. Let me start with the room—we booked a Sunset Junior Suite. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our room and given a detailed overview of the hotel's amenities, including its bars, restaurants, and the suggestion to download the hotel app. Waiting for us in the room was a lovely welcome: an ice bucket with a bottle of champagne, two glasses, and a thoughtful note. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-appointed, with a fridge stocked daily with beer, water, and soft drinks. The hotel offers three main restaurants, a coffee shop, and a poolside snack bar, all of which are included in the all-inclusive package. The buffet restaurant has a good variety of dishes that change nightly, though I would recommend avoiding Mexican night due to the loud band playing in the restaurant, which also obstructs access to the buffet. Our favorite was the Asian restaurant, where the sushi was exceptional. The Mediterranean restaurant also impressed us with its selection of fish and pasta dishes, with the pizzas being a standout. The pool snack bar serves delicious food as well, often featuring a BBQ with exceptional burgers. The coffee shop is perfect for grabbing fresh coffee, cakes, and sandwiches—all included in the all-inclusive package. You can’t beat a coffee and cake break! There are two bars, one by the pool and the other near the reception. What truly sets the experience apart is the quality of service. We were fortunate to be served by an excellent rotation of bartenders, including Alejandro, Jerry, Ruben, and Alberto, who took great care of us. One evening, we even had the chance to try some of Alejandro’s new cocktails, which he was designing for an upcoming menu. They were as delicious as they were beautiful—I’ve included a picture of two of them in my review. A tip for future visitors: bring cash, as the onsite ATM only dispenses dollars and charges $8 per withdrawal.

We have stayed at larger all inclusive resorts in the area, but this is my favorite! The beach is stunning, powdery white sand, and the water is just as beautiful as the photos! The view is just incredible, breathtaking, awesome.

The only thing we didn’t absolutely love was they don’t offer Mexican food for dinner except on Friday nights (we are in Mexico, we want authentic Mexican food), and there were virtually no dairy-free or gluten-free desserts. (But the OXXO across the street has dairy-free ice cream bars).

It was our first time in Cancun and we wanted an all inclusive hotel that is chill, quiet & great! Oleo fits our needs very much! We loved it. First of all, The beach was amazing, they cleaned the sands and maintain it, the lifeguard on duty was alert and made sure everyone was safe. We went on April before the holy week, so the sun beds were not that full, we hadn't had a hard time looking for space. The rooms were great! Comfy, clean and great views!!! The food were great!! Especially Almar and El Botanero!! Love the staffs!! Everyone was soooo friendly, welcoming and approachable. A special shoutout to: - Stephanie at the reception who made the check in easy for us! Stephanie explained and made sure we got all the information needed for us to enjoy our stay. - Ramsey who took care of us when we first got into the hotel, He helped us get into our rooms! And he also made sure that we were enjoying our stay. - Manuel at the reception who made sure our all our questions and needs were heard! - Wenseslau, who is the cook at Almar! The food was so delicious! This was our favourite restaurant so far. - Pablo the gm of Almar! Thank you for making our dinners enjoyable. - Roger who also works at Almar, he remembered our drinks and made sure we were taken care of during dinner! Thank you to him! - Fernanda, who helped my family arrange my bday surprise. - All the staffs at Hakka who sang and made my birthday extra special! - And of course, to Gregorio who works at Azul, he made sure that our family was comfortable during our meals. They were the staffs who we interacted the most and they made sure that we were taken care of and that we enjoyed every second we had in the hotel! but EVERYONE in the hotel was AMAZING!!! It made our stay 1000% better. The hospitability was unmatched. A huge thanks to everyone at Oleo! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to have a chill and quiet stay at an all inclusive resort. We will surely be back again! :)

The buffet is a hit or miss, but overall it was okay!! - We're here for the vibes, but if you're looking for a hotel that offers many restaurants and buffet options, this might not be for you! (This hotel has 2 restaurants, 1 buffet restaurant and 1(?) snack bar). - This hotel is one of the first hotels in the Hotel Zone, it might not be for you if you want to be within walking distance to the Flea Market, the La Isla Mall, or outside restaurants. - If you are looking for night entertainment like fire dancing performances at the beach that you've seen on Tiktok or night life parties, this hotel is not it. They do have night entertainment (its at the main bar) but its mostly chill night entertainments or karaokes!

Beautiful pool, comfy rooms and everything you need. Two options of restaurants at night and two during the day, staff is very warm and welcoming. I did a massage and it was great, as well as the spa’s facilities.

There was a very loud “entertainment” at the pool all days, basically all the time. I went to the beach instead and still could listen to it - I understand some people like it, but I wish it didn’t last that long so others could also relax. Also, a cleaning lady entered my room at 8h30 am, which almost scared me to death 🫠

We booked a bit late for a last-minute babymoon and were really unsure of what to expect. After reading some negative reviews, I was actually expecting a bit of the worst, and was absolutely shocked at how much I LOVED this resort. The check-in was easy, and Sebastian went above and beyond to explain things to us. Our room was a little older but clean and spacious enough, plus we surprisingly got a little view of the ocean from our window. The showers were big and hot, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The restaurants were great - breakfast omelets were a highlight, the fruit is good, and the coffee shop has great coffee. Rarely had any wait for a table before 9am. We dined at the Hakka Japanese restaurant, which surprisingly had a lot of great vegetarian options (and the service team was sooooo nice) and the Mediterranean restaurant had a whole vegetarian menu, where we dined for New years. Housekeeping was kind and for NYE had a little chocolate for us waiting in our room. The service team at the beach - all very awesome guys who kept bringing us water and little snacks. The pool DJ does his best to engage all of the community and there were fireworks and music for New Years outside our window (loud enough to wake me for the show but not to keep me awake - thank you!). Overall, free flowing good food and they tried to accommodate as much styles, tastes, and variety of cultures as best as possible for a very affordable price!

I think the only things I would improve - - the towel 'policy' - some guests would come out to reserve chairs at 8am and not actually use them until 2pm etc so we could have used the chairs in the morning if people actually just used chairs as needed. One day some guests just left towels at the beach and never came back - 6 hours and then the sun was down so no one used the chairs. This was annoying. Honestly, not much else. Building is a little worn down but everything else makes up for it and felt it was a fair price for what we've got. I've stayed at tons of 5 star hotels and they've not compared in service and bang for buck.

Food was amazing! the hotel was not too crowded so it was really cozy and friendly. the rooms were big and comfy. we could feel that they renovated the room and bathroom so we felt comfortable. Again, the food: AMAZING!

The building itself is a little bit old and need renovation (such as the elevator). My room key stopped working several times so had to go back to the reception most of the time to get it fixed. the pool bar closed to early (around 5/6pm). it would be great to have the option to stay and enjoy it longer.

Loved the immediate access to the beach. The food was tasty, especially breakfast. The staff was hella nice and welcoming. I had a balcony so hearing the beach at night gave me so much peace. Room service was speedy and yummy. Sheila thank you for your warm spirit and sharing your beautiful soul. Marco was so kind too. I will definitely be back.

A lotta reviews talked about how old the facility was and a lil worn…I found it to be far from true. While yes there were signs of wear & tear it did not take away from the beautiful experience.

Lovely AI, for a couple of nights to start our trip. Close to the airport for a late arrival. Beautiful view and location away from the doof doofs. Friendly staff.

A little dated. If we stayed longer than 2 nights, the food variety may not have been enough.

1. The pool 2. The staff 3. Location/ convince 4. Hotel room 5. The spa

Although this was a family hotel, I do wish their were activities for kids 5 and under. There were a lot of little babies and toddlers so an activity or 2 would be nice or even a kids zone.
