Beautiful resort. Areas for quiet for adults only as well as areas for families w kids. The Cenote was beautiful. Our daughter was married at the Cenote and had a fabulous reception on the Royal Elite Hotel roof that overlooks the ocean...stunning!
Check in lines standing for hours .. Need more staff Had to figure out scheduling for restaurants and bars...at times it was frustrating not being able to get a drink or to sit down and eat

The location is super fun. It’s in the jungle and on the beach. Lots of paths you can bike on, some small Mayan ruins, pools and some fun water slides. The staff are all very friendly. Lots of guests from Canada, France, and USA. Our room was nice and comfortable and there’s water dispensers in the room. They all have patios or balconies. We really enjoyed the fire show and the cenote show.
Hand washing at the buffets is non existent!! Seriously, bring your own hand sanitizer because that many people touching the same utensils is just gross. So that part freaked me out. Getting a spot in the sit down restaurants is difficult. You have to sign up at mid night for the next days reservation. However, you don’t need a reservation for the Brazilian restaurant for breakfast or lunch and that was nice.

I really liked the closeness to the jungle and the unique layout with cenotes, pools, numerous water slides & beach all available. It was easy to get around once you got familiar with signage placed in several spots. The pools were large and the swim-up bar was a hit with the kids & adults. We saw animals & birds daily, and the zoo was also a place of interest. We never left the resort area other than beach walks. The Japanese & Italian restaurant were awesome and we booked them first, the buffet had excellent choices as well. The jacuzzi tub in room was also a hit! Our group didn’t mind the rocky beach and built dams in the sand.
I wish the shows & dinner reservations could be earlier as it’s hard to keep everyone up after long days playing in the water! Our grandkids were super excited for shows but fell asleep and missed some of the excitement! It would be great if there was away to keep the animals out of the people food, but imagine that’s a challenge.

This was our first time in Mexico and at an all-inclusive resort. Great family resort, and the price point was great as this was a last-minute trip. Things I'd want to know before going that I didn't find on their website... Check-in: Staff super nice upon arrival. We got there 3 hours before official check-in time, but they started the process early (free of charge) and gave us our wristbands/pool towel cards so we could eat/drink or swim while waiting on our room to be ready. They went over the map of the resort, the activities, the app, etc...and also talked to us about doing a timeshare. We were able to leave our luggage with the front desk. When our room was ready at 3 pm, I just gave them our ticket stubs for our luggage, and they drove us to our room via golf cart. Waterpark: 11 & 14 year old boys loved it. Never overcrowded. The 7 big slides are open 10-5pm. Big play area for toddlers/younger kids with age appropriate slides. It is closed every Tuesday for cleaning. There isn't a bar to get alcohol within the waterpark, but the closest one is about a 2 min walk, so no biggie (another review I had read complained about this). They serve water and sodas inside the waterpark, and one day, they had ice cream, too. Buffet: HUGE selection... something for everyone and had a mix of different cultural foods for all meals. Had no complaints on the quality of food. I had read some reviews that were mixed about it when booking our trip. I guess keep in mind that this is buffet style food, not Michelin star quality (what buffet is?)... but it was all still very good!!! Dress code posted (no swim suits/flip flops) but not enforced...most complied, though. El Nido: outdoor taco place. Loved it. Tacos were awesome, and the charro beans were even better! Stays open all hours. Drinks: It is all inclusive except top shelf liquors. Like bartenders everywhere... they all make drinks a little different. Elmer was our favorite!!
Really, no complaints...overall, great family oriented resort.

The wildlife is amazing!!! 😍 The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The beach is a bit rocky but beautiful still. A lot of action and different things going on at all times. Fun place to stay!!
The sit down restaurants were not the best. But, the buffet style restaurants made up for it, you could always find something great there!

Large area, many animals, which is fun for kids. We spent all 7 days inside the hotel, walking 15000+ steps each day. There are many things to do in the hotel, which is very good. Night shows are good, but two of them were boring. Considering how much we paid, it was a very good value for money.
Loooong lines, that’s true. Beach is not perfect. You need shoes to enter the water. Food is not best. It’s okeyish, but in other places in Cancun it was better. Water in pools is not very clean. Water slides are somewhat old, but fun. Don’t have too luxury expectations.

Pretty rooms. Staff kept everything clean. Great options for the family for things to do!
Hard to get directions and consistent information from staff. Only one place open for late night food. Only options at pools is hamburgers and hot dogs. Had to stay up till 12am for dinner reservations and we like to get to bed early so that was a bummer. Beach was rocky but the kids enjoyed playing in it and finding shells.

The Waterpark definetely is incredible, as well as the jungle feeling that you can live at your stay. all the animals that you can see is amazing. You should be sure to find a way to isolate the doors completely, as we had en encounter with a giant spider and cockroach in the room. The room was nice and comfortable. The food was always good, but the personal does not seem very motivated or friendly. Please also do something to save your beach, we were not able to get into the water because of the dirt.

I loved the eco friendly aspects of the resort. Very limited waste, the cups you receive were reusable with lots of buckets to return them to through out the resort. I liked there were options to compost next to the trash cans. Although i would recommend more recycling bins for the cans complimentary to our rooms.
Our bathroom shower had no knob to go back and forth from the rainfall shower head to the hand held shower head. When we arrived our shower heads were both going but very weak and we told the cleaning lady and she fixed it but the knob came off. We told the staff multiple times but it never got fixed. Still enjoyed the rainfall shower.

The Lush surroundings of the jungle, while having the beautiful breeze and beach of the ocean. The wildlife is there but the staff knows how deter them from interacting too much The bell men were fabulous....they just made life so much easier w all of our luggage and needs.
At times it was difficult to find a different place to eat other than the buffet. At times it was difficult to find a place to get drinks or food. It was available but you might have to walk quite a ways to get it. Just having cooled water stations or drink or snack stations/carts would be fabulous.... Lastly the checkin process for families was incredibly long lines. The resort should have the check in desk fully staffed. 1.5-3 hours just to check in is awful and hot!
