A beautiful hotel with spotlessly clean rooms and facilities. The staff were so friendly and professional. We loved the coffee shop called Roots, as it had so much choice from dozens of coffee's, cakes and ice-creams to smoothies, juices and sandwiches. A really great spot!!! The restaurant area was also excellent and it had a great atmosphere at night. In particular we loved the oriental restaurant as the food and staff were fantastic there. We also loved the tacos by the main pool. There are actually so many pools to choose from, some with entertainment and families around them, and some in more peaceful settings for adults to relax in . Overall we had a wonderful experience in this hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend families or adult only travelers.

The food was excellent in every restaurant. Top steaks and a variety of foods. The staff service was excellent. Ricardo in the breakfast buffet room was always attentive and kept us filled with coffee and drinks without asking. The Nespresso cafe was perfect dri KS and ice cream and pastries. Water was always filled in our room al I ng with snacks..just amazing service here. I will definitely recommend and return!!

Only thing was the beach water was kinda had sea weed, but the staff was always cleaning it. This is mother nature doing, nothing to do with the resort.

Pools, Room, Water Slides, Food

Beach was worn away, seaweed in and out of the water. You could not swim at the beach.

Good sized room. Easy walk about. Enough restaurant options. Great number of pools.

Pool side chairs being “saved” and not being used for hours. Food was sometimes excellent, other times barely edible-undercooked and heavily salted. Seemed to be a more family focused resort which I didn’t pick up in the promotions that I saw. Entertainment could have been more adult focused.

Breakfast and dinner options are really good. I am vegetarian and found lots of options in food throughout the day. Ambience was really nice and well maintained.

Beach area was not so clean and beach water is not for swimming.

The staff was excellent! I cannot stress enough how wonderful the staff was. Everyone was personable, attentive and friendly. The resort was extremely accommodating of my gluten allergy, and there were plenty of options for me to eat. One waiter went and sought out gluten free bread for me, unsolicited, so that I would have some before dinner. I did not feel like I had to sacrifice because I had an allergy. The food was abundant. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from and plenty of bars. The activities were nice, and there were options for exercise if you chose. The room was spacious and very clean.

Room service was a little unreliable. There were times when food arrived very late or not at all, and there was no real number to call to follow up. While I would highly recommend the spa for massages and the hydrotherapy treatment, I would not recommend the spa for nail services. They were extremely overpriced for the value and I had some questions about cleanliness and the reuse of tools.

The staff are absolutely amazing, everybody is putting in long shifts with a smile on their face. Everyone is genuinely nice, without faking it for the tips. Shoutout to Ana for the amazing omelets for breakfast. There's an army of gardeners, pool boys, bus boys, animators, chefs etc, so you never really have to ask twice for anything. The restaurant options are substantial, we stayed 4 nights and still couldn't try all of it. The facilities are quite nice, a lot of pools, new gym, it's never really crowded and you don't need to fight for spots. Rooms are super clean and spacious with sweet balconies. It's a fantastic place, you can easily spend a week there without the need to move around. There's a daily entertainment program with tequila tastings, dancers, fitness courses, bbq and whatnot. The kids club is absolutely fantastic.

If you have a car the location is quite convenient, between Cancun and Xcaret, Playa del Carmen, Tulum. But as we didn't have one you need to get taxis (no public bus or Uber), which operate on elevated fixed prices. So once you're in the hotel, you have few options to move about. And we hit the seaweed season, so the beach was more or less unusable. The hotel did a great job on cleaning up though, doing daily rounds gathering the stuff. But if you're happy to stay at the hotel or have a car, location is brilliant.

The Hyatt Ziva Riviera exceeded or expectations. The facility was well kept, staff was friendly and the food was great.

The beach is not very good. The grounds staff does an excellent job keep the beach clean but the beach is not good in that area. We did snorkel behind the resort and enjoyed the fish. The resort could do a better job making snorkeling more accessible

The property is very clean and well kept. There were events almost every night. The staff were exceptional; always courteous and willing to make you more comfortable.

Everything was great, just that the night activities could have gone on a little later.

Breakfast was great and dinner buffet

The Asian place food was not good but they tried They did not make none of the alcoholic drinks well example sex on the beach, daiquiri, margarita and others. It was not drinkable at all, not sure if they just people that are following a recipe on how it supposed to made but do not know how.
