I almost hesitate to share this special spot in PM. I'm a solo female traveler who was welcomed into the Casa El Moro family. Everyone is charming, kind and helpful -- even to this American who struggles with Spanish. There were few others American guests, and very little English heard; refreshing and welcome. I feel like this is a true taste of Mex, from the simple complimentary breakfasts to the charmingly decorated rooms. I upgraded to a 3rd floor jr suite for just a few dollars. Extraordinary! This isn't for you if you need new towels every day, high pressure showers...this is like home in the middle of Mexico's best kept secret.

The property was a quaint old villa by the sea. It had lots of plants and a big Banyan tree near the open dinning hall. The beds were comfortable. The ac was adequate. The toilet was clean. It was quite. Except for some music outdoors. The staff was nice. The breakfast was acceptable.Overall a nice hotel. The location was the best part. There were many shops and restaurents nearby. Also a reliable taxi stand, super market and an ATM near by. It was a nice place to bargain for ethenic stuff.

It was functional but not a star hotel. It was more like a bed and break. The staff hardly knew English. The fan was painful slow and there was virtually no hot water.

The location was excellent, and there was a short walk to the beach. Grocery store maybe 2 blocks away. Oxxo around the corner. There are so many great restaurants nearby. Super vibe, I'll take Puerto Morelos over Cancun and their extortionist cab drivers any day. Daily breakfast was included. That was a big-time saver. The room had a kitchenette. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating.

There was a problem with the toilet, number 22, and we were moved to a new room the following day. The pool area was small, 2 loungers, but that was good enough for us. The owner should consider taking out the small garden area and replace it with 6 loungers, which allows more sunshine to the area, and it would be perfect.

Good location near lots of restaurants and close to the square not far from beach. Surprisingly our room was not noisy. I had made a booking for a specifically ground level room because of mobility problems. On arrival was told none available even though I had communications with the hotel 3 days earlier to confirm this. However, in the end the manager at the front desk did find us an upgraded 2 bedrm apt in the back of the hotel on the fround level . This was much appreciated. I have to use a rollator these days for balance, mobility but am able to use one or two steps with the rollator. The hotel would not be accessible for someone in a ewheelchair as the few ramps they have are quite steep and narrow. Our lhabitation was comfortable with good beds, nice linens, lots of towels and soap, shampoo provided. had a full kitchen with stove/oven, microwave, full size fridge, blender and even real not plastic dishes! AC in every room. Step up to get into room and between living room/bedrooms and kitchen/bathroom. Nice big shower. Staff were very helpful and came to use key on gate next to our room to access the airport taxi and helped with luggage. Breakfast included was decent with a choice of various eggs, pancakes, also yogurt, cereal, toast, PB, Nutella, coffee, juice in garden covered setting. Smallish pool refreshing with a few chairs and loungers available. I would stay there again and recommend it.

The property is located in a very active area with shops, restaurants and everything you need. The breakfast is great to start the day. The pool is not necessary great for lounging but a nice cool dip on a hot day. The beach warf and central plaza are a short distance walk. Our room was spacious with a refrigerator to keep some drinks and food. There was limited parking but it worked for us. All in all a nice stay. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Oh on the top floor there’s a nice place to hang out.

The bathroom drain shower drain had a bit of odor. Cover it with a baggie. It’s common.

Spacious room with a balcony overlooking the pool and trees—the Junior Suite. Balcony had table and chairs and lights. Pleasant to sit and read. Close to center ( 2 blocks) in restaurant area on Gomez. Interior pool looked inviting but never tested, cleaned daily, and had chaise lounge chairs and swing double chair to relax there.

The breakfast left out was poor, more like a motel in USA that includes breakfast. We ate out despite it being included in the room price. No coffee maker or coffee in the Junior Suite.

This is an authentic Mexican feeling place to stay. Perfect location for walking to all nearby sites. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Each time we left or came back we were spoken to by staff at the front desk. Free breakfast was very good. Pool was good. This was our second time staying. The only place we will stay when visiting this area.

Construction going on nearby. However not the hotels fault.

Great place close to the beach. The rooms were really spacious for my family of 5, giving us enough room to spread out! The added kitchen and dining area was nice too. Super close to the beach, malecon and chedraui grocery store. The pool is really nice for cooling off. The breakfast is good but near the end of our stay we were sick of it. Lots of scuba dive shops a walk away

Location was great and breakfast delicious.

3 flights of stairs and no help with luggage. There was a man at reception who could have helped. Young girl who took us to our room did help with my bag when I asked. Air con was v noisy at night but needed as well as ceiling fan as was v hot. Pool was closed for maintenance. I know this needs to be done at some point but one of the reasons we chose this place was the pool.
