Large, quiet room with comfy beds (firm support yet soft on top), good AC, shower, ample lighting, good towels...in fact we came home the first night to two white swans on the bed made out of elegantly folded towels with bougainvillea petals on the body and other flowers for eyes and comb! Excellent location, only 3 minute drive to Chichen Itza ruins (be sure to pass the first several people waving you down to park or buy at their booths until you reach the official entry kiosk, after which there is parking under shady trees). Convenient to have large restaurant at hotel with tasty, full breakfast for around 250 pesos (fruit plate, juice, coffee, eggs and breads). Very courteous attentive servers, partly because there were so few customers. Quite a shame that this lovely hotel, with large pool and gardens, does not have more clientele...perhaps because of slightly higher cost, but at around $68 USD a night it seemed a luxurious bargain. The only requirement that might bother some people, but is fairly common in developing countries and really is not that hard to get used to, is that you're asked not to flush toilet paper down the toilet, but to put it into a separate provided garbage bin.

One desk clerk seemed not very certain about our reservation...perhaps he was nervous so seemed less friendly at first. All other staff were great.

Well located for Chichén Itsá, easy 2 km walk, and near to Pisté town centre. Reasonable price, 1,936 MXN (£77) per night room only. Spacious room with plenty of light. Pleasant staff. Restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and evening, serves reasonable food in a town with limited eating options. Communal balcony overlooking the garden. Extensive lush gardens and large swimming pool, this was the highlight as I had free time after visiting Chichén Itsá.

As mentioned in other reviews, no Wi-Fi in rooms, but adequate in hotel reception where there are comfy sofas.

This was a really comfortable option after a long day travelling from isla mujeres. It's situated on the main road through the town of piste which is quite loud, but once you reach the garden side it is a peaceful and well kept area to relax. My boys 10 & 12 loved the large pool which we had to ourselves. The rooms were quiet and comfortable with good aircon. It was a 5 mins drive to Chitchen Itza which was our priority. We arrived at the ruins at 8am (opening time) avoided the crowds and as we were leaving shortly after 10am we saw long queues to get in. The breakfast wasn't included but there were some waffle options for kids.

Situated on a busy main road, I would opt for garden facing rooms so you're on the quiet side. WiFi was poor, only works in reception area, not the rooms which made researching our trip difficult.

Very comfortable beds and good pillows and good air conditioning. Very neat and pleasant grounds with green areas and lots of well arranged spaces. Very nice swimming pool and a restaurant is also on the grounds. We would definitely recommend it and would go back anytime again.

Although we were facing the garden, the road is very loud with buses. Not the hotel’s fault but the location is on the main thoroughfare to the main tourist attraction in the area.

The hotel is the first hotel on the left in the village coming from Chichen Itza. The hotel is located relatively close to the site. For our daytime visit we walked (about 20 minutes) to the entrance. For the sound & light show at 19.00, which is very beautiful, we went by car. Parking is available in front of the door. We had room 209, at the (quieter) rear/garden. It is definitely worth taking a more expensive room on the garden side because the front is very noisy due to the road (with many trucks). Large rooms, excellent sleep quality. We had breakfast twice in the restaurant (200 pesos) and also dinner twice, plenty of choice and very reasonable prices. We had a very good experience. However, perhaps ten rooms were occupied (in mid-January). So we don't know what the experience is like when it's busy.

They have very nice swimming pool, Chichen Itza very close, the restaurant at this hotel has rather good food.

Unfortunately I couldn't normally sleep there as isolation is extremely bad. One night a group of people arrived in the middle of the night, they were extremely loud. I asked the employees of the hotel whether they can tell people not to shout, but they did nothing about it. Additionally to this one could hear music and dogs barking all night long. Wi-fi connection is very slow and weak

The place and gardens were beautiful, clean, and the energy was amazing. The staff was the greatest surprise. They were friendly, professional and very accommodating to our needs. From upper management, to the nice man cleaning the pool daily, they surpassed our expectations. The vegan food at the restaurant was the best Mexican vegan food ever at any restaurant, including California where we live. The local juices were so delicious and nutritious. The staff went out of their way to share their maya culture and to give ups information on what to do in the area. Overall we felt in love with the hotel, the area, but most importantly, the entire staff.

Nothing.

Staff was superb; from the front office to the housekeeping to the restaurant waiters - everybody was very very friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and spacious and tastefully decorated. Pool area was fantastic: big pool and comfy chairs to sit. Restaurant nice; the buffet lunch is a good deal, our kids loved the food. Puerta Chichen is a 15 min walk to Chichen Itza, which meant we got there by 8:15 am and left the ruins when the tons of people were starting to get in (and before it really started to get hot - we had a lovely cool swim in the pool after the trip!). We highly recommend this hotel and by any means it’s a great idea to sleep near Chichen Itza in order to there early.

Get a room on the pool/garden side for 10 USD more. We declined the offer but regretted it during the night, the traffic is pretty heavy even after dark.

Hotel is located 3 minutes driving from Chichén Itzá so it is very convenient for those who want to enter the archeological site before the crowds. Food was superb with many yucatecan dishes to choose from. We truly enjoyed the nice pool after a day of exploring the surrounding towns.

We only stayed one night and everything was perfect.

The pool area and back yard with trees and flowers. The buffet style food was awesome and reasonable price.

The rooms on the lower floor at the end only have windows facing the hallway and event room. They're a bit dark. The beds are a bit soft also which is fine for the lighter people. It's also kind of loud with people dragging chairs above you. Need some floor felts for beds and chairs.
