Casona de los Cedros is a beautiful converted historical townhouse in the small Yucatecan town of Espita. The grounds, rooms and pool are beautiful and it feels more like a resort than a hotel. We only stayed one night, but could imagine basing yourself here and doing excursions to sights nearby and coming back to rest by the pool with cocktail in hand. The breakfast and food was all local, fresh and lovely and presented with an eye for detail.

The only thing that could be improved is the playlist in the restaurant (just to perfect the overall ambience) and maybe to provide local coffee in the room and the restaurant. We loved it nevertheless

We had a lovely stay. The room was very cool, with a huge comfortable bed, and great air conditioning. We stayed in rainy season so we didn't get much chance to use the pool, but it was beautiful, as was the breakfast, welcome snack and we really enjoyed sitting in the bar area. Staff were all helpful and kind, and we used Spanglish to communicate :) They organised some nice massages for us.

Useful to be aware the roads getting to Espita can be difficult and full of potholes, so make sure to leave enough time. The greenery, which is beautiful, during rainy season does mean a lot more mosquitos. There were also a number of power cuts, which isn't the hotel's fault, just something to be aware of in the Jungle. Finally, they weren't able to give us breakfast to takeaway, ie if you wanted to leave early to see any ruins, so just be aware of this.

This place is a gem. Rooms are big, comfy and clean. Matraces and pillows are very good quality. The restaurant with his outstanding qualitiy is onother highlight. We stayed 5 nighst and had 4 times dinner. At the end we eat everything from the menu. The place itself has a lot of charme. The pool with its comfy lounges are also the perfect place to chill in the afternoon. Five minutes walk to the center of town. Breakfast also very good. If you look for the real mexico you have to visit Casona los Cedros. We can not wait to come back. Thank you very much.

A lovely higher-end hotel in central Espita. Small boutique at the check in area and the garden is VERY gorgeous and a great spot to spend the afternoon. Loved all the hammocks and the patio in front of the room to chill in the shade. The onsite restaurant is good as well and the drinks were great too.

The road has some traffic noise and there are some neighbor dogs, but they provide ear plugs and at night it was quite quiet. Pool could be a bit warmer, I don't think it was heated at all which was too chilly for me to get right into even if its hot outside.

We stayed 3 weeks in Mexico and this was by far our favorite part of the trip. The property was beautiful and the dinner was excellent! I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Yucatan. Even better than the photos!

The front door could have a darker curtain, which may be bothersome in early summer mornings. However, it wasn't an issue for us in February.

We love Casona Los Cedros. It's a magical place; an oasis of calm where humans seem to be in harmony with nature. The architectural details reveal a keen eye to beauty and respect of nature, tradition, and history. Chef Jorge and his staff work wonders in the kitchen. The staff is kind and attentive. What a beautiful boutique hotel we found in Espita, Yucatán. This gem of a place is designed by a French architect, Laura Lecué, who created her project that shows such refinement, elegance and authenticity. The restaurant features delicious Yucatán cuisine made with seasonal, local ingredients masterfully prepared by Chef Jorge Ildefonso. Truly one of our best meals in the last few years. The staff is extremely kind. Thank you!

Everything was absolutely incredible—I highly recommend it! The vibe is immaculate, and the staff is incredibly helpful and attentive. The cuisine is outstanding, both at the restaurant and at breakfast, offering a modern twist on traditional Mexican flavours.

Gorgeous hotel, really stylish and comfortable rooms, the food was amazing. They were great at communication via WhatsApp. We ordered our dinner in advance, and they were really understanding when I wasn't feeling well and had to cancel part of the order (nothing to do with the food!) We were just here for an overnight stay but Espita seemed like a cute little town.

Shower was a little cold for us and we woke up early due to cockerels (but this will happen in the countryside!)

We enjoyed our stay at Casona Los Cedros & recommend it! You feel home in this hotel with cosy atmosphere. The bedroom & bathroom are nice. Restaurant does have very good quality of products & amazing staff.
