The staff were amazing! They were all so friendly, kind and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was beautifully lit up with Christmas lights and decorations. The pool and garden were a tranquil oasis. The inclusive breakfast was small but delicious. It’s just basic coffee, juice, fruit, toast, jam, yogurt and cereal. There are many different options to purchase if you require something more filling, but for me it was perfect.

It would have been good to have a kettle and/or coffee maker in the room. It was noisy at times, but it’s very close to the centre, so that’s expected. The only thing I didn’t like was that the soaps and toilet rolls were changed every day; even when barely used. What a terrible waste! I hope they were used else where and not thrown in the bin!

My trip through Quintana Roo (Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Tulum) was full of problems and I would have left Mexico very disappointed. Luckily, our trip finished in Valladolid (Yucatán) and we had a completely different experience. The city is fantastic, people are nice, prices are reasonable. It was such a joy to stay at Hotel & Suites Country because the staff was so friendly and were very helpful in supporting our final plans. We stayed for one night only and didn't use the pool facilities, but everything about our stay went fantastically well. Thank you! Together with the diving experiences, Valladolid and this hotel were the only good things about my Mexico trip.

Nothing to report

Close to the center, about 8 minutes walk. Friendly staff, nice and clean place with a cozy hangout place and a huge balcony. They gave us a new room because the first room we had was not in the main hotel with swimming pool / breakfast area. I felt like the receptionist did her best to satisfy us. The breakfast was fine, simple but it was something that to get us going.

Due to Christmas season, you could hear some noises from outside. There are also roosters from the neighborhood that sometimes woke us up in wee hours.

We stayed in the newest section, which is modern, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very nice, and it's close to Centro.

The last two times we've stayed there, we've had poolside rooms, and every morning, around 6:30am, the staff would be moving and rearranging chairs in the pool area, by dragging them on the floor, which made VERY loud noises. Also, the neighbor has a roster which starts crowing at sunrise (which isn't the hotel's fault), but it's not as annoying as the staff moving chairs by the pool.

Continental breakfast was bad, but also, the way i was treated was not best. They give you a wristband, which is supposed to give you access to the Breakfast, but they will ask you questions anyway to see if you have breakfast included, so what is the point of the wrist band! I also didn't like the way they were asking questions to check if you have breakfast included. In the room, there is not enough space for hanging clothes

Complimentary breakfast included fruit, yogurt, bread, coffee and juice which was lovely and just enough but you could buy extra food from menu. Pool was amazing. Room was cleaned every day. Short walk to main square.

Breakfast was from 7-12 but after that the area was closed. It would have been nice to order a drink whilst round the pool in the afternoon. Also, our rooms didn't have much of a view.

Staff were always helpful and friendly, available for questions and was able to answer them accurately with details that made our trip more enjoyable! The room was large, clean and comfortable! We could not have asked for a better location! It was just far enough away from the crowds, to not be noisy, but with a few minutes walking distance from all the major sites and restaurants. Highly recommend!

We didn't know what to expect but this hotel is so lovely. Amazing sculptures and outdoor spaces throughout. Modern and clean. Amazing simple included breakfast with jugo verde, yogurt, granola, fruit. Amazing pool. NOTE: we unknowingly booked a room with a gorgeous pool view and huge balcony in the main building. We did see that the majority of the rooms are across the street in more of a "motel" area surrounding the parking area. I can't speak to these rooms. For an amazing room request one in the main building (500's, we had room 531).

We where pleasantly surprised by Hotel & Suites Country. The room was big, enough parking places in front of the hotel. The parking, suites and the reception are on the right side of the street. The facilities like the pool and breakfast are across the street of the left side. The bed was nice and big. So far one of the few beds that were as long as we are tall. We had a lovely stay and would comeback if we would return to Villadolid.

The breakfast was on the smaller side. We had second breakfast in the centre of villadolid.

We were looking for a place to stay in Valladolid that could serve as a base to visit other places, and this was perfect for that. The room was quite spacious, with a kitchen and comfortable beds. Breakfast was included although it was a bit simple.

Not necessarily a bad thing but it was a bit inconvenient that when we arrived they were fixing the parking lot and we needed to go through a lot of broken ground to get out of the hotel, and we had to park our car a few properties over. But all in all, everything was good.
