Overall, no major negative comment. Only be aware that the "rooftop" is actually a restaurant where you need to eat to access it (i.e. it cannot be accessed freely and/or just to have a drink).

Fantastic hotel, the hotel and restaurant staff were lovely. The rooms were clean and comfortable. One of our rooms was upgraded to a room with a balcony with no extra charge (worth asking at check-in if one is available). The food was amazing in both the courtyard restaurant and the roof top bar/restaurant. Ask about the new 'secret' bar, hidden away behind reception, which is just for residents, it's a new, trendy cocktail bar with a classy private club vibe. The breakfasts were exceptional and they even provided a packed lunch alternative (sandwiches, fruit, coffee and juice) one morning when we left before the 7am breakfast start time.

My husband and I enjoyed our three nights stay at Hotel Meson del Marques. Its location is excellent right across the Street from the central fountain and town square. Staff at the hotel were professional, polite and very helpful. We liked the Restaurant downstairs for its convenience, ambience and great food. We ended up eating dinner there, two out of three nights. Breakfast was very good and not buffet style. We were able to choose our breakfast according to our taste. We highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location, cleanliness, staff and their hospitality.

Very pleasant staff. Super location. Great facilities including (a nicely laid out) swimming pool and top roof terrace with magnificent views. Very comfortable beds and very clean, well-equipped room. Taxi from the Maya Train station 150 pesos. Walking distance to shared taxi service to Chichen-Itza (100 pesos return). Don't miss the (free) nightly (except Mondays) sound & light show projected on the picturesque San Servacio church just across the park, opposite the hotel and the sound & light show projected on the walls of the San Bernardino de Siena convent, a nice stroll away through the super cozy boutique-, restaurant-, terraces- and clubs lined street Calle de los Frailes.

Everything, superb historic property, genuinely friendly staff, food created and delivered with care and skill. Room was extremely comfortable, big comfy beds. The pool and its surrounds are a lovely place to sit and enjoy a beer. Breakfast is a delight, lots of choice, all beautifully presented. You can dine with a view if you wish, but there is an elevated outside seating area off the fourth floor where we took our beers for late night enjoyment of the light show on the church. Beer is about £3 a bottle, no draughty available, wine is about £25 a bottle

The hotel itself was truly amazing, the feel of a big complex with many ambiances was wonderful. The pool with bar, breakfast/restaurant area was just mesmerizing, terrace area at the 4th floor. Breakfast was amazing, you get coffee, juice, (the most amazing) bread with jam and butter, and one dish of preference. For additional dish you had to pay, but we managed to trade one juice for fresh fruit. The location was the best, it can’t get any better in Valladoid.

Bed wasn’t comfortable, but ok for 2 nights. There was a family of pigeons living outside our bathroom window. When we came the window was open and I nearly had a heart attack. Remained calmed for the rest of the trip with the window closed.

The staff spoke perfect English and they were so keen to help. They gave recommendations, helped parking the car. The room was spacious, with a good airco. We received a bottle of water per person each day. The dining area is impossible to describe. It's like an open place in the building with a fountain in the middle. They perform showcooking at the table. Breakfast was very tasty, with a good choice.

I guess, when you don't drink tea or coffee, a second free orange juice would be OK. Now you have 1 orange juice and unlimited coffee.

We've stayed here many times and we'll keep coming back. The restaurant is incredible, including the free breakfast. The whole vibe of the hotel is so awesome. The pool area is so beautiful and relaxing and the poolside bar is a great bonus where you can also get snacks like guacamole and chips (It might help if you know a little bit of Spanish). The staff are excellent and happy to help. The location in Valladolid cannot be beat. There's also a hip rooftop restaurant with a great view of the main square and church, great food and amazing cocktails. Do not hesitate to book a room here.

The pool is only open until 8:00 (though there were a couple times when we were there past 8 and nobody said anything, so maybe as long as you're quiet they don't care? haha).

Such a beautiful hotel, happy to have stayed here. This place couldn’t be situated better. From here you can drive to the cenotes or visit Chitzen Itza (do a guided tour!). The restaurant is actually really great and very aesthetic. They even have a separate vegan menu to my surprise. Locals come here to eat on the weekends with there family for a more elegant brunch. We didn’t find the terrace to be that spectacular but we did enjoy a nice cocktail here. Staff is really polite and friendly. Would recommend!

To the cleaning staff: please keep the door of the room closed when cleaning. Otherwise mosquitos come in all the time.

I liked the location and the place itself. The staff at the front desk and bar (pool side) were very friendly.

My #1 complaint about this property is going to be the restaurant. Just about any place that I've stayed around the world, that has a restaurant that is a "hot spot", has ALWAYS given seating preference to registered GUESTS over just anyone walking down the street hoping to get a bite to eat and walking in. I was clearly told by the hostess at this place that being registered guest at the hotel, did NOT matter at all to get a table on a rainy Tuesday night. I believe you should pay attention to this small detail, which can take you long ways with your guests, whether a continued or future guest. I won't discard you from my list of choices to stay in Valladolid, hoping to see a change. Thank you.
