Beautiful space, one terrace and one rooftop offering spectacular views. Room and bathroom were great. Mohammed and Zaynab were amazing throughout our stay. Zaynab was very hospitable and kind. Mohammed helped book us a guide for the medina (Shokaib) who was great. Mohammed also helped book us an excursion to the mountains with the guide Omar. It was a pleasure spending the whole day with Omar, he really felt like an old friend by the end of the day. These were all booked at the last minute, so we really appreciate how lucky we were. Just a special place managed by special people :)

Nothing.

Fes is a magical and mystical destination, and Riad Alassala takes this to another level. At the beating heart of this gorgeous, authentic 19th century, Riad are it's wonderful staff. Zeinab, Mohammed, and Ali! The trio has a wonderful and personal standard of customer service. Mohammed was the most professional hospitality professional IMO who was answering all my pre stay queries super promptly and checking in on me in face of unforeseen travel hiccups...ie dying phones! Upon my arrival at the Riad, I was warmly welcomed by Zeinab and Assal (the owner of the Riad). I felt a beautiful luxury in these surroundings, but I also felt home! Their chef pulls off the most amazing tagines, and Mohammed was kind enough to organise for me following my 13 hour day of travels, as this was the perfect end to the evening. I cannot recommend this Riad enough, aside from the obvious of convenient location being in the beginning of the medina, great value for money etc....go for the character it exudes and as embodied by it warm and sensational team!

I didn't have enough time 😪

What a fabulous place to stay. Absolutely gorgeous Riad and such amazing staff. Mohammed and Zianab were extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was wonderful. Very comfortable four post bed, seating area and great shower too. The breakfasts are incredible. I am missing them already. We will definitely return. Fes is also pretty amazing. Lots of see and trips to take.

Nothing. No complaints at all!

This riad is very beautiful and peaceful. Lots of handicraft details everywhere which I really appreciate. The rooftop is big with a nice view of the medina. What I loved the most was the the fountain area and one of the bedroom we had with high ceiling.

The only thing I didn’t really like was the food. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either. I was expecting a better breakfast than this. The ones they give in riads in Marrakesh are much better. Also the city of Fes disappointed me. People are angry and not welcoming, the food is not good, the medina is stressful and dirty… Fes used to be a city of artisans offering quality only even when it comes to food. Now it seems like they have no standards and they don’t care. If they keep going like that they will lose all the tourists but honestly it seems like they don’t even want tourists anymore. Thanks god I booked a nice riad.

Views of a solo traveler, from Los Angeles... Wonderful people run this Riad. Azel, his wife, and the staff do everything possible to make your stay a positive experience. Azel himself came out and met me (after I was dropped off) and on my final day, made sure that I departed for the airport properly. The breakfasts and dinners were also excellent. No complaints whatsoever about the selections, portions, or quality. You will be well fed at each meal, with Tajine, couscous, and a great selection of breads. I recommend that everyone who stays to take the time to speak with Azel. He is a learned man who has also experienced different cultures as well, and provides great insight into how to experience Morocco (and travelling in general). The location requires a little bit of walking, but nothing that should deter anyone. It is part of a neighborhood in the medina, but far enough away from the souks to provide some breathing space. About a 3 minute walk from cars, and about 5-7 minutes from the souks. Good people, good location, highly recommended.

Nothing, really.

It was one of the most beautiful accommodations I've had in my life! A calm, beautiful and so relaxing experience in that riad! Breakfast was delicious and the riad garden was breathtaking! Calm music and birds singing while having breakfast or dinner! It felt like an oasis in the noise of medina ! Ali, was the best one! He helped us out while checking in because my mother had an accident with her knee and couldn't walk! And of course, he made us feel like our home! Thank you Ali! 🙏🩷 And i hope we can make it back to Fez! Definitely we will go to Alassala riad again! Extra tip! Try having dinner there, they serve great tagliatelle with mushrooms and delicious pastille with chicken! 🥰

Mohamed and his colleagues are very friendly and nice. They offered us good food and drinks. They always gave us a hand when we needed. I with my family really enjoyed the stay there. The Riad is clean and cozy. It has good location and is easy to get to. If I go to Fes next time, I definitely will choose to stay here again.

The warm water for shower was not enough for whole family.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, providing easy access to nearby attractions. The food was absolutely delicious—compliments to the chef for the outstanding meals. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel itself is clean, quiet, and offers a variety of well-maintained spaces to relax and unwind. A special thank you to our hosts, Ali and Zineb, for their warm hospitality and exceptional service. Their professionalism and kindness truly made our experience memorable. We highly recommend this hotel!

Not sure where to start with how wonderful Riad Alassala Fes is! First of all, the Riad itself is so beautiful, right out of the movies! Our room was gorgeous and the dining room is breathtaking. Breakfast every day was fresh and delicious. The location within the old city is ideal and convenient to all the sights. But what really makes this Riad so special is the staff who were all so helpful and kind and welcoming. A very special thank you to Ali who went out of his way to help us navigate the Medina on our first night in Fes and made sure we had everything we needed including takeout breakfasts on our early excursion days! Shukran Jazeelan!

Location - Located in the old Medina in the narrow alleys. A little tricky to find, but plenty of help and directions available. Parking - Outside the medina - check with the hotel before arrival. We paid 20 MAD per day for parking. Staff - Very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast - Local dishes provided, with choice of egg. Decor - Beautifully decorated property. So calm and serene. Loved the quiet inside the Riad. Room - We stayed in the Junior Suite, and it was two levels. The upstairs had two single beds, and the lower floor had a large double bed. Beds are firm, which is common across Morocco (we stayed in multiple cities and they were all the same) and pillows were comfy. Bathroom - Spacious, with plenty of hot water. Toiletries provided.

If I had to be really picky, I'd suggest better lighting in the rooms. They were obviously energy-saving, but the light emitted was a little grim.
