Nice location, nice and attentive staff.

We had a small issue with our first room, but they resolved it and went above and beyond to make it up.

Had a great stay at this charming and peaceful property. With only a few rooms, it offers a quiet, intimate atmosphere and an old-world charm that's hard to find. I was pleasantly surprised to meet the owner—who happened to be visiting from another city—and he kindly helped me with my luggage. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, and the breakfast was simple yet satisfying. Plus, the location is central and convenient for getting around. A lovely stay overall!

The only minor issue was that the main door was a bit tricky to lock, but aside from that, everything was excellent. A lovely stay overall!

This place is the best! The staff is super helpful, they helped me with the luggage, served breakfast at the time I wanted, ordered a transfer for me early in the morning. The room was huge and clean. The location is perfect, the riad is right in the heart of the city, yet it's very quiet and comfortable to sleep at night. There is a fantastic terrace on the top with the city view. I would rate it 11/10 if I could!

The entrance might be a bit challenging to find, cos it's located on the other side of the building; and the stairways inside the riad are quite steep and narrow. But these are not the real problems because of the helpful staff that assists you!

Great location as a base to explore Fes and the surrounding area. Safe neighbourhood, close to a road (for taxis) and markets for fresh fruit and veg. Some good takeout options nearby also. Very good value (especially with the Genius free breakfast). The room has a large wardrobe, comfy bed and good sized bathroom. There's plenty of hot water for one person (two might be pushing it). The breakfast is both filling and delicious. There's a shared roof terrace with some nice views of the city. The staff are very friendly, with a live-in host who speaks fluent English and is happy to help with anything you need. The property is on the outskirts of the medina, so relatively easy to find (the more central areas are a complete maze).

There are quite a lot of steep steps to reach the rooms from the property entrance. My room was next to the terrace, which was fine during my stay but if there was a group sitting there are night you'd hear everything they say (and smell anything they'd smoke), so it might not be the best room for a guaranteed night's sleep. The booking.com contact isn't the host, which is a bit odd. If I needed to get in touch with the property over booking.com the message was passed to the host, but sometimes things got lost in translation (I asked to confirm how much tourist tax I'd pay and instead got a blanket....). Not a big deal though as the host is given your number when you arrive. The tourist tax was mis-advertised on the site - I was asked to pay double when I arrived.

Blue Oasis is indeed an oasis; away from the noise and chaos of the Medina of Fes, and it's annoying and persistent 'guides'. It is in an ideal location from which to walk to the major places of interest in Fes, the rooms and bathrooms are large and very clean, the breakfast is excellent and the staff are wonderful. It is situated near many nice cafes and is right next to one of the few places in the old city where one can get a taxi. The terrace was also a lovely place to sit in the evenings. I stayed in many riads over my three weeks in Morocco. It was by far the best.

The Wifi was unreliable, but adequate most of the time. The narrow spiral staircase would be a problem for some people. One needs to remain attentive to the low doorways. (I wasn't!)

It was in an amazing location, and all the areas of the riad were spotless and very nicely decorated. The room we stayed in was very large and extremely clean, with a very comfortable bed and all the necessary equipment a guest might need (hairdryer, shampoo, towels daily, toilet paper, etc.). Lastly, I must mention the INCREDIBLE host, Khalid El Malki. By far, the best hospitality and service we have ever experienced in all our travels over the years. Very polite and helpful, with a high proficiency in English, which made us feel that we had someone by our side for anything we might need. We had daily communication with Khalid via WhatsApp, where he sent us travel tips and any assistance or questions we had, he was immediately there for us. What I've mentioned about the host Khalid is only a fraction, but to sum up, this accommodation is the best you can book in Fez with this level of service, location, and price. The Riad is over 200 years old. It was a great experience to stay at a UNESCO heritage site. The Riad is being renovated at this moment (May 2025), but you can still feel the magic of the place. The staff is great! Jad, the owner, always made sure that we had a safe and comfortable experience in Fez.

The stairs! Because it's a UNESCO heritage site, they have not been able to renovate the stairs and some of the steps are very tall.

The staff was great! Kareema arranged several excursions for me for a very good price. The breakfast at Blue Oasis is amazing. And the location of the Riad is good, an easy 10 second walk into the Medina from where the taxis are.

The room I was in was a little bit noisy with street sounds at night and early morning.

A lovely place to stay. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. The air con worked very well and the bed was super comfortable. Karima was so lovely and helpful and provided a varied breakfast you could not finish. She also sent an email with excellent directions and info on prices to pay for taxis. Highly recommended.

The location is very good but the very best is Khaled, who is managing the riad. He is genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and shares insights of Fez, you would normally book a tour guide for. He really made the stay to something special.
