The location was close to a road so getting taxis was easy. It was also in a less touristy part of town near Bab Jdadi, which was perfect for us. There were a few good restaurants we really liked within a few minutes walk. The riad let us cook in their kitchen and do our laundry which was great for us for a long-term stay. Thank you for the room upgrade! We liked having keys to the riad and our room so we were free to come and go.

We are not cat people so weren’t crazy about their pet cat especially while we were cooking or eating. Some of the staff changed frequently except for the manager, who did not speak English. We relied on the other English -speaking staff who left after our first week.

This is a beautiful Riad set within the Medina of Fes. The location is brilliant and only a short walk from the main attractions of the city. Our room was HUGE! We even had an upstairs bathroom, get the downstairs Persanne room if you can. The ladies running the place were really lovely and welcoming, offering us tea at any time of day. The breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. We particularly loved the gorgeous cat Mimi who lives here 😍

It was a little noisy in the morning when they were preparing breakfast.

Yousef was really friendly and always available by WhatsaApp to give assistance or answer questions. The Riad is simple but the rooms are big and nice and cool. The owner has collected art and original objects and has these around the hotel. It is peaceful and easy to reach from the outside of town. Breakfast was good with an omlette if you wanted which is not always offered in Morocco. There are a couple of nice restaurants close by.

The Riad is not directly in the Medina, it is on the edge of the Medina. This was not a problem for me as I like walkiing and also to be honest the Medina is not a place to be after dark. It is not like Marrakech where it is easy to find your way around. The Medina in Fes is complex with 9500 tiny allees alot looking the same during the day but at night not a good idea.

It’s a true gem—quiet, beautiful, clean, and with a lovely view of the city from the terrace. Getting there by taxi was easy. We ordered dinner from the host, and Samira cooked the best tajine and couscous we had—better and more affordable than in local restaurants. Tarik was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We spent three nights here and enjoyed every second of it.

A nice location just within the medina walls. Easy to find and parking is nearby. The rooms were very well appointed and clean. Breakfast was a typical Moroccan breakfast and was nicely prepared.

The parking was a bit a of a hustle by a young man, who wanted to take us to a restaurant of his friends and when we didn't like the place, he was trying to get more money from us. He seemed to be affiliated with the property, but I am not sure.

The location is good. The room was good except the toilet. Breakfast the same in all roads- continental breakfast. But in this Riad it wasn’t the best we had in other cities. But the manager Yusuf and service woman were marvellous. They did everything to make our holidays convenient and helped in any question we asked.

The toilet in our room was on the second floor. The staircase to it was dangerous. So we don’t advise to take the room on the first floor. It also were some problems with the shower and cold water. The owner of this riad was attentive only to French people.

The accomodation was really great, we had a really pleasant time at L'Artiste. The manager, Youssef, was very friendly, helpful, furthermore willing to get up earlier and give us a breakfast-to-go, as we hurried for a morning bus when leaving. Thank you, if I will return, I will gladly come back here. The position was quite near historical medina, the view from the terrace was great! The room and surroundings were decorated nicely, there are 3+ground floors of rooms, there is also a possibility to get some nice meal during day (we didn't try).

It is better to inform via app about time of arrival, otherwise you might wait a bit, as the reception is sometimes empty. During check-in, you will get your key to enter whenever you want, so it is only about the 1st arrival.

Wonderful Riad, huge rooms, laid-back rooftop and very well located, out of the crowds of the Medina (meaning it is quiet at night) but very quickly accessible on foot. Youssef was an incredible host, exceptionally kind, and accommodating. He showed us around the Medina, was patient, and educated us on Marrakesh's history. Not to mention he revealed local spots near the Riad we never would have discovered on our own. Can't say enough good things about Youssef.

Thank you Tarik and Samira for making us feel at home. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and Tarik did his outmost best to help us with anything we needed. We loved the breakfast and relaxing on the rooftop. The riad is just outside of the busy streets of the medina and everything within walking distance or a 1€ cab ride.

Really good breakfast and meal. The staff are really helpful and gentle. You can be in the middle of the médina in 10 minutes by walk. The staff can book everything for you (transport, restaurant, hamman, spa, excursion). I travel with my baby (2yo) and they put a baby bed in my room

Just, for me, the bed are too hard. The room with the windows on the street can be a LITTLE more noisy but it's just the children who play in the street so it's really ok (no car in the street)
