All staff were amazing, very helpful with places to visit, prices to pay & restaurant recommendations, always happy to help & always asked how we were & how our day had been! The Riad itself is beautiful although a little run down, the shower in our room had to be used by hand as it wouldn’t securely stay on the showerhead holder above. The menu states food all day everyday, however when we asked for a light lunch of panini they said they weren’t serving food, which was disappointing! The WiFi didn’t work for a day or so but the staff worked hard to restore this problem, no alcohol is served here also! The breakfasts were lovely & you could choose to eat them wherever you wished. The bed was solid however we had a surprising amazing sleep! All in all we absolutely loved our stay & would definitely return.

My favourite riad in Marrakech, at least so far. Have stayed there a total of about a month, over time and two different visits. Abdellah and his team are the best -- so warm and helpful. They feel like family now. Beautifully decorated, not over-the-top, just enough...with a lovely salon, courtyard, rooftop. The rooms are gorgeous -- I have stayed in three of them and seen others. (My favourite is Azzarine.) Fatima is a brilliant cook if you want to order supper ahead...makes some of the best tagines I've had in Morocco. The riad is easy to get to (relatively!) from the Mellah area roundabout, where taxis/cars drop you off. The old city's central square, Jemaa el Fnaa, is about 8 minutes away, walking. Bahia and Badi palaces are nearby. The riad is usually booked out, so book ahead!

The whole riad is beautiful and we loved being inside the Medina yet still away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, but by far and away the best thing about Riad Dar El Souk is its staff. Fatima’s cooking is so good it quite literally brought tears to our eyes (my husband was born in Casablanca and he said he hadn’t tasted food like hers since his mother passed away). Aside from which, they took care to make me an incredible vegan dinner I will never forget! Thank you all for making our stay so special. We truly felt that you treated us like family.

I honestly can’t think of anything that could be improved upon.

We had a wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Everyone was so welcoming. Abdul and the team were so helpful and always had a smile. The breakfast every morning was delicious and kept us going all day! The bedroom was huge and the bed was very comfy. The location of the Riad was perfect. Close to two big squares and walking distance to everything within the Medina. The Souks were only a few minutes walk away too. I would highly recommend Dar El Souk to anyone wanting to visit Marrakech and anyone wanting to get the full traditional experience.

Everything!! Our room was lovely with a sitting area outside our door. We all agreed that the rooftop was our favorite spot, a lovely place to take breakfast or to sit in the sun after a long day winding through the souks. Great location , a 15 minute walk to most everything in the Medina. Best of all were the staff. We really can’t say enough, they’ll make your stay incredible! Zakaria greeted us upon arrival and we immediately adored him. He was filling in briefly for Abdullah Youssef who truly is an absolute gem. After moving on to a riad in Fes that was less than stellar, we sat at dinner and actually spoke of missing the staff at Dar el Souk!! Book this place immediately!!

Nothing! Everything was PERFECT!!

The staff are incredible at Riad Dar El Souk. Abdul (day manager), Fatima (chef), and Youness (night manager) are always there with a smile to do everything they can for guests. We loved chatting to Abdul to learn more about Marrakech, and he had brilliant recommendations for us. The breakfast was lovely and very filling, and the rooms were comfortable and always really clean. The whole Riad is beautifully decorated and is a very welcome and calm place to relax in the mornings before going out to explore the city (with the central square just 5 minutes walk away), and in the evenings relaxing on the roof terrace to get some sunshine before showering and heading out for food was exactly what was needed. 10/10 would recommend everyone considers staying at Riad Dar El Souk!

The only very small thing to note is that on our very last morning the hot water was not working. However, it had been working perfectly the rest of the stay (and was lovely pressure and got hot very quickly all other days). As soon as we raised it, the manager Abdul immediately got to fixing the problem, so really that shows how good they are at helping and caring for customers!

Beautiful riad located in the heart of the Medina! Amazing location and close to most tourist attractions. We felt very safe staying here considering there is staff present 24hours a day and additional safety measures to enter the building. What really made our stay memorable was the hospitality of the staff. Such warm and good hearted people! The breakfast was fantastic. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean! AC worked very well.

Wifi was quite spotty at times.

Beautiful relaxed Riad. The rooms were comfortable, clean and the decor was lovely. The location was incredible - right in the heart of the Medina but down an alley so set back enough for it to be a totally peaceful oasis. We were made to feel very welcome and looked after by all the staff - nothing was too much trouble for them. I was unwell and they let me check out late and they even brought my partner a gift on his birthday. The staff and location really make this place and it’s great value for money too. Thank you so much to everyone at Riad far el Souk for making our stay such a special one. ❤️

The breakfast was a bit limited.

The Riad Dar el Souk is placed inside Marrakech Medina convenintly close to one of gates. at walking distance from the main monuments and the souks. The location is fantastic and the food (breakfast and one dinner for our family) is excellent. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful, and they really got out of their way helping us organize guided tours to the city and to the desert of Agafay. I strongly recommend a stay at Riad Dar el Souk if you are visiting Marrakech.

We absolutely loved our stay at Dar El Souk. Everything was wonderful - the property itself is really beautiful, a lovely little courtyard garden with a plunge pool, up to the stunning roof terrace. I spent a couple of afternoons lounging on day beds, sipping mint tea and reading. Abdullah is a fabulous host, he really helped us with everything, from directions, recommendations, taxi prices, everything. Fatima is a wonderful cook; we had the pleasure of enjoying her home cooked dinner on the first night, which was probably one of the best meals we had in Marrakesh. The location is perfect - nestled right inside the Medina, close to countless restaurants, shops etc., but so quiet, you wouldn't know you were in the centre of it all. Every morning we woke up to nothing but birdsong. Our room was beautiful - clean, comfortable, and every room has it's own outside seating area. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
