When my partner and I arrived at Riad Ksar Al Amal, we got sat down, offered tea, and given a map whilst we were checked in. When our host walked away, I grabbed my partners arm and said to him - ‘I think we’re in the wrong place’. We weren’t - I just could not believe how beautiful the riad was. Our stay at Riad Ksar Al Amal was by far one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed in the past years. From the colourful mosaic, to the small pool of water and its beautiful sound, to the enormous banana tree thriving in the centre of it all, it was the most beautiful surprise to step into. Our bedroom was absolutely stunning, with a rich red colour on the walls and a small, gorgeous bathroom. We were thrilled to discover we had a small private living room attached to our room, with a stunning view onto the fountain downstairs. The riad was typically Moroccan, with rooms facing each other and little noise reduction, and although they are stereotypically not very private, we felt so welcome and staff was so respectful that we felt completely comfortable. The different staff members were all incredibly friendly, offering tea and recommendations any time we bumped into them and asked, with fantastic attention to detail. We were told a couple times that Riad Ksar Al Amal is our second home - and we will definitely be returning. We also got a Hammam treatment and massage. It was incredibly nice to have a spa in the riad itself and not have to go out to find a separate one - my skin felt completely rejuvenated and the massage was excellent. Our breakfasts were always amazing - a typical Moroccan breakfast with a different local slice of cake every morning, fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juice and of course the Moroccan pancakes which were delicious. They were very generous portions too - perfect for my hoover of a boyfriend. The view from the rooftop was unparalleled - with the Atlas Mountains looking over us as we lounged on the big bean bags!

If you are a light sleeper, bring a couple earbuds as we were awoken once or twice by call to prayer from the mosque next door, or other guests coming back a bit later!

The riad is absolutely stunning! Every part of it has been designed and decorated to perfection. Lots of social areas and quieter areas, plus the bedrooms are exquisite. The staff were all so kind and helpful, greeted me with tea when I arrived and gave me a run down of Marrakech equipping me for a good trip with recommendations!

Nothing - it was perfect!

The rooms are Incredible, you feel like you are transported away to a luxury home and not some souless hotel. we were early and got greeted with traditional Moroccan tea and pastries as they got our room ready and we were taken through a local map of good places to visit and we circled to help you start off. Then we got a tour of the riad and it's facilities. I just want to say the service is exceptional, everyone is so friendly and can't drop enough for you (though we aren't a demanding couple at all). breakfast is a lovely Moroccan affair with fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, dried fruits, some breads/pancakes, coffee and fresh fruit. my wife had a hamman and massage and said it was incredible in the spa that is downstairs. The riad itself is situated a couple of minutes off the road (really easy to find) just by the spice markets and is next to the palace and a story walk into the souks. most things are within a twenty minute walk from this riad or shorter. would highly recommend!

there wasn't anything we disliked!

An absolutely fantastic, well-kept and above all very privately and personally run riad in a prime location, just a few minutes' walk from the medina. We really enjoyed our stay. Many thanks to all the staff, everyone was so obliging and helpful. Friendly and always a smile. An oasis of calm. It was a wonderful stop on our Morocco tour. Service, cleanliness, dinner and breakfast on the fantastic roof terrace. And our suite at the very top with the option of private dining. Including radiant heater. Wonderful. An unforgettable stay. Everything simply recommendable, our room was a fantastic mix of the original Riad, sensational new decoration and furnishings. And as a special treat, we were the very very first guests to be allowed to inaugurate the brand new spa area. We were the first guests in the hammam, followed by a massage. As a couple. Completely private. We can really only recommend this to every guest. Keep it up, keep up the good work. The design of the property is truly unique and exceptionally beautiful. The room was stunning, spacious, and maintained spotlessly clean every day. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect stay – very friendly, attentive, and always ready to offer great recommendations for places to visit. The food was delicious, and we particularly enjoyed the rooftop area, perfect for sunbathing and relaxing. All the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, making us feel at home throughout our stay. In the evenings, we spent time in the city and, no matter the hour, the staff would kindly open for us – the location is very secure, with controlled access, so only guests can enter. The property is also conveniently located, within close distance to many tourist attractions.

Riad Ksar Al Amal was the perfect place for our five day stay in Marrakech. We really couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our honeymoon. From the beautifully designed room, courtyard, rooftop and pool, there were so many places to relax and take in the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were so welcoming from the start, and made us feel at home. They really made our stay here special. It was also the perfect location for exploring Marrakech. We did the airport pickup with the riad and also dinner two nights on the rooftop. We would highly recommend this!

Cleanliness was impeccable, with the rooms and common areas maintained to the highest standards. We truly appreciated the comfort and care that went into every aspect of our stay. And the food—simply outstanding! Every meal was a delightful culinary journey, rich in authentic flavors and prepared with great attention to detail. Overall, this Riad exceeded our expectations in every way. Riad Ksar Al Amal is more than a beautiful riad, it comes with a compete sensorial experience, so much so so that when I passed its doors from the hot and busy spice souk alleys it felt like I entered a completely different world, an oasis of beauty and peace. The building itself has been very carefully designed to give the feeling of living in a small palace (from the hand made decorations to the personalized furniture), in the inner yard there is a pool with running water and trees with singing birds, and there is beautiful smell in the air, to address all senses The stuff is very nice and helpful (one morning I mentioned I like cinnamon in my coffee and they remembered this detail the next mornings) and so is the owner, always ready to help with guidance on things to do in Marrakech or answer questions about the riad’s history.

The property was gorgeous and was a bit more classic style than a previous Riad I stayed in. The staff was exceptional and catered to us with anything we needed at any time. Breakfast was delicious and rooftop patio & pool is a plus.

The only thing we didn’t like and wish we knew was how sketchy the alley the Riad was situated on. It is next to the Spices souk and we saw some sketchy characters at all hours in front of the Riad. As two women we didn’t feel comfortable and even had to ask to get escorted on one of our nights out. (Which they were happy to oblige). So just beware.

The property was absolutely beautiful. The staff including the cleaners were very attentive and so helpful and the property was spotless. Breakfast was light, but plenty to set you up for the day. Location was great and everything in walking distance. It was well worth the money we paid and would happily return to such a beautiful riad. Access to the property isn’t possible by car, so there was a short 4minutes walk from the drop off point down an alley way, but the hotel staff helped with our luggage. I have nothing but good things to say about this charming riad!
