We researched our Morocco trip very thoroughly and decided to choose Nelia. The level they are maintaining is ubelieveable. The owner spared no expense when it came to details that would be important to guests. The beds have memory foam mattresses and falling asleep is instant. The bathroom is in accordance with the riad so it is in a traditional style but still they managed to ensure you have that sanitary feeling of perfect clanliness. The cleanliness of the rooms and the riad in general is something we have rarely seen before.The breakfast which is super tasty and abundant is made up of traditional Moroccan food and every day they will serve you different kinds of bagels so it is always something to discover. It is served on one of the most carefully designed rooftop terraces in Marrakech. The stream flowing down from the roof into the little pool in the open courtyard gives you a sensation of sitting deep in the nature. We could write for days about the amenities that they offer but it is best that you just go yourselves and discover them. The biggest value of this property is the staff. The first thing that the magnificent manager Ismail will tell you is-welcome home-and this is the truth. You feel like you are surrounded by friends who are there to help you with everythingb and see to your every need.Ismail plans your entire Marrakech trip and can arrange anything you imagine. Mohammad is exceptional at breakfast and makes you feel pampered every day.Special mention goes to our new friend- Youssef. He is so talented and always professional-his kindness and sincerity is something every person needs when traveling for their holiday. Thank you for the late night teas and the insight in to the Berber culture!

This Riad is beautiful, is located a few minutes walk from great restaurants, the main square, fantastic sucks around, excellent view from the terrace and one final thing to mention is the staff: all excellent, very very very nice people, very helpful and they go all extra mile to meet your needs. I strongly suggest this Riad in Marrakesh, I had a blast!!

There's nothing to point!

A wonderful breakfast made to order. Fresh mint tea, fresh coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, Moroccan cake, pancakes and plain eggs (scrambled or omelette). Fresh fruit smoothies were also added during our stay. Delicious! Tea and coffee is complimentary and free at any time of the day and is freshly prepared - it was fantastic! We also ate a three course meal here on our first evening (additional cost of 260 dirhams per person) and it was worth every penny! One of the most incredible meals we have eaten! The staff were outstanding. They were so lovely, friendly and helpful! Ishma was incredible at reception, booking reservations for us for tea, recommending where to go and where to eat and giving us directions. Mohammed, Yasin and Samir were wonderful hosts and we loved chatting to them throughout our stay. The riad itself takes your breath away. It is absolutely beautiful with two pools (a cool one in the centre) and a small pool on the roof terrace at the top. It’s a fantastic haven and retreat after exploring the bustling Marrakesh. Location wise it’s fantastic - this is why we chose the riad initially. It is next to Dar Si Said Museum and only five minutes walk to El Fna Square so this was a great point to return to to avoid getting lost. We absolutely loved every moment of our beautiful trip!

You have to pay extra (20 dirhams/ €2) for water during breakfast which we weren’t aware of. We also thought the blankets in the room could have been a little thicker. As we were in a small room with our air con, the sheet provided was a little too thin so we would get quite cold at night but that’s just a tiny addition that could be made. It was a fantastic stay!

Location and staff were great. Breakfast was good. Beautiful roof terrace. Beds were very comfortable.

Room was small, airport shuttle pretty expensive.

All the people working there were so very kind, warm and supporting. From the men working the front desk, to the small talk during breakfast, and the women cleaning and doing Spa arrangements, we really liked everybody there. Always greeted with big smiles. The big bed, cool pool, and pretty rooms is also a huge plus. Location was perfect, no noise, very clean insiders and also the area around it.

Actually we have no complaints at all! Once we had the feeling breakfast was a bit meager, but you can ask for eggs omelet and then the meal is complete and it’s enough to make a grown man full. But everything else was great.

Riad Nelia was a peaceful oasis in the heart of Marrakech. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the main square and all sightseeing locations. Even though it was close to the beautiful busy markets, when you entered the riad you were in a different peaceful world. The beautiful architectural details, the room decor, the views from the terrace and the wonderful essential oils smell was taking you to a different world. The stuff were all extremely polite and accommodating, always happy to give you advise and help you with taxi and tour bookings. I would recommend trying the hammam service offered! I cannot recommend enough and will definitely be staying there in our next visit to this beautiful place!

Nothing! Everything was perfect!

Lovely, lovely Riad! Staff are friendly and helpful, the roof terrace is great, the location is excellent. Very comfy beds! It was a peaceful place to come back to after venturing out into the bustling Medina. Breakfast was a bit on the sweet side, but there was a different freshly baked cake every day, orange juice, fruit, honey and jams, and very nice bread and pancakes, plus a choice of coffee or tea.

There was a hiccup with our Hammam booking. We booked a treatment (2 hours Hammam and massage) 5 days in advance, double checked the day before, worked our plans for the day around the booking and then we found out, at the supposed starting time, that they double booked and we had to reschedule. I understand that mistakes happen, but that was a bit of a disappointment.

Location of property. Air conditioning in room. Very comfortable bed. Excellent power shower. Plunge pool in central courtyard. Safe for valuable storage in room. Very clean and beautiful roof terrace and central courtyard. Thank you staff Samir for being a consistent friendly and competent host. You made us feel safe and cared for during our stay. Thank you Hajiba for the great massage (additional service booked via reception).

Because the rooms are all arranged around the central courtyard, peace / quietness inside room at night is dependent on the other guests being considerate.

Beautiful Riad with very kind staff who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. The owner sat down with us and explained all the places we should visit and all of his recommendations for both restaurants and activities were great. We felt really safe around our accomodation and within the Medina. It was only a very short walk to the main square and we walked to every attraction easily. Such an excellent location and a little oasis to return to when you step inside from the craziness of the main part of the town.

We did not realise until we arrived that we had to pay for our entire stay in cash. We had not really planned to withdraw that much money from an atm. I think the card machine was down. It was ok in the end but it would be better to have the option to pay by card next time.

I stayed at Riad Nelia for a week and was treated like family from day one til the end. Both owners and all the staff were so kind to us and always keen on fulfilling every wish to give us an unforgettable stay. I had many lovely and interesting talks with Mehdi, Amin, Yassine, Samer and Mohammad learning about Moroccan culture, life and sights. I just felt right at home and am dreaming of coming back already . The staff was always attentive, caring, kind and funny. It was a nice feeling, particularly as women, that there was always someone looking out at night to make sure the Riad is safe and sound whenever we came home, even later at night. The rooms were beautifully decorated and had everything basic one needs. If anything was ever missing, the staff made sure we were provided with it. We’ve booked the hammam including massages which were just perfect and so relaxing. The roof terrasse was so beautiful, quiet and we had many hours of relaxing in the sun with some delicious mint tea brought to us by the exceptional staff. It was the perfect oasis to return to after an exciting day walking around the souk or looking at sights. The location was just perfect. The medina/souk is just 5 minutes of walking away and the riad is very easy to find after having walked the way once or twice. I always felt safe, even on my own in the dark. The moroccan goods you can buy in the souk are just beautiful and the shop owners were always friendly and kind toward me and my three girl friends. Mehdi, the co-owner, gave us really good tips and recommendations and we could have booked whatever we wanted to do and visit with him, but had booked a lot already beforehand. I am sure he will make everything possible for you you wish to see but never pressured us to book anything with the hotel which was a nice feeling. The dinner, particularly the "Moroccan salat" was incredibly delicious and one of the best meals I've had in Marrakech.
