October 2023

I was given a very spacious room with a nice bath / WC. The water pressure on the shower was poor. just adequate. The room was well furnished but I found 16 decorative pillows a nuisance. The hotel was very quiet at night, I slept well. The TV had satellite channels nut not signal, so it did not work. The breakfast at the Riad was very good but the one they offered me on the day of my departure (I had to leave very early) was an insult, just an old pancake, some old cake and pieces of cheese, no drink, no fruit, nothing else, very poor. The restaurant meal was tasty. Staff were pleasant.

Limited air circulation, all windows to the interior courtyard, but I accept that Riads in the old town all have this problem. The take away breakfast on the day of my very early departure was terrible, old cake and pancake, 2 pieces of cheese, no drink, no fruit, terrible. TV satellite channels did not work due to no signal.

Very friendly and caring receptionists - Abderazzak & Mouad deserve the recognition for their excellent service and friendliness. They make the riad feel like home. I usually never go back to the same hotel but this was my 2nd time and my next stay in Marrakech will be there as well. Keep up the good work!

There is nothing negative to say.

perfect location for exploring the city on foot. just around the corner from the tombs saadi with several restaurants in the area. the riad also has its own restaurant where you can dine on the rooftop of on the ground floor. the room on the ground floor was fantastic - with a large comfortable bed, good lighting, 2 couches in the seating area and a small refrigerator. there was no desk in the room but plenty of tables outside for working. the rooftop has tables and couches and even sun loungers to relax. the shower is great, with strong water pressure and it doesn't leak and flood the bathroom!

there is a mosque around the corner and every morning from 5:45 till about 7am there was almost non-stop call to prayer or prayer that felt like it was happening in the room. if you want to sleep late, this is not the place for you.

My husband and I were really happy to spend our weekend getaway in this hotel. The room is so comfortable and clean.. the odor of it is very nice also. The employee, Hamza, is such a great man. He makes sure that we feel comfortable, not lacking of anything, enjoy the hotel's services. The breakfast is superb, I really like that red marmalade. The pick up and drop off airport are also the best. Right on time!! DEFINITELY POSITIVELY WE RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

I don't know about the policy to provide toothbrush and toothpaste in the hotel in this country but for me personally, it would be better to provide it, altogether with toiletries.

My husband and I felt very welcomed and looked after during our a few days in the riad. Thanks to Abdul Razaq and Hamza and the female staff (I don't know their names but they were all lovely). Service was great and breakfast on the rooftop was varied and tasty (consisted of mainly, breads, jams, pancakes). Regarding people complaining about the riad, I think you have to keep in mind that when staying in a riad it's supposed to feel like a home not a luxury hotel so keep in mind that's the experience you're going to get!

The room was clean however we booked the deluxe suite room as the bigger ones were not available. I wanted to book a bigger room (double room or executive suite) but they were not available when we booked. I felt like the one we stayed in was a bit dingy and on the smaller side. Still good value for money.

My partner and I stayed in Sultan Suleiman for our first visit to Marrakesh. Where to begin with? This Riad is a true definition of hospitality; from our arrival to our departure, both Hamza and Abdul with the great assistance of Naima, who made sure that our room was spotless, made us feel safe, well taken care of, ensured to give us the best recommendations and a delightful inclusive breakfast every single day. They even offered us breakfast out of hours and organised all of our activities that, compared to other guests from different hotels turned out to be cheaper. They are truly committed to their guests by even being available 24/7 on WhatsApp and we cannot ask for more: this is our favourite accommodation ever and made us feel home. As a woman, if you are travelling solo, I can definitely ensure that this is a place where you will feel safe.

We had a great time staying at Riad Sultan Suleiman! We went there for a week in August and we were greatly accommodated. All workers were very nice, very welcoming and very kind. We booked one of the suites and it was spacious, had AC and was overall comfortable. As they bake their breakfast goods in the house, the Riad feels very homely as it smells really nice of cookies or cakes. Breakfast is big and consistent and it is made in house. Location is great, it is a 10 min walk from Jema el-Fnaa and a 3-5 min walk from Badi Palace, El Mellah spice market and Saadian Tombs. Although close to the city center, the location of the Riad is in a quiet place.

Nice hotel and good value for the price. Decent location with lots of restaurants a short walk away. Helpful staff. Room was fairly spacious and nicely furnished. Location was a little away from the Jemma el F'na which I liked. Parking was relatively close though it was basically full when we showed up at 3 PM - thankfully, managed to get a spot as I didn't want to be driving around in heavy traffic looking for another space.

One small nitpick - Breakfast didn't start till 8 or 8:30 if my memory is correct. We needed to be on the road early since we had a long drive ahead of us. However, things weren't setup for b'fast at the time advertized. It took a while to get the food.

Brilliant location with very friendly and helpful staff. Feels like a secluded location away from the hussle and bussle. Feels very homely with a cosy roof terrace, breakfast served to each person with lovely fresh orange juice. Beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms with bespoke bathroom. Our first time staying in a Moroccan Riad and it did not disappoint. Only a short distance walk to everything needed. Close to a very beautiful mosque and made us feel like we were really experiencing the culture and local tradition. Enjoyed it alot.

Everything was brilliant, however when my wife asked for some water at breakfast the guy charged us 30dirhams for a bottle of water when it is 6dirhams from the local shop.

Really good location, great breakfast, really helpful staff, lovely stylish room. Quiet at night. A real haven from the bustle just outside the door. Very clean, comfortable bed and dark room at night-helped with sleep. Easy access from airport and staff went out of their way to prepare breakfast for us even when we left very early for our flight. Welcomed with tea on the roof top area was lovely. Staff helped carry our bags up and down to the room as well as arranging transfers to and from the airport. All this helps make a trip simple and allows you to focus on just soaking up the sights, sounds and experiences that Marrakech offers. Good to have an all night reception ready to help when needed. Felt very safe and secure throughout our stay. Very good English speaking staff and those including the kitchen and cleaning staff always so welcoming. One of the team on day 1 and 5 of our staff helped us alot with laundry and other directions. We will return!!!

That we had to leave.
